"Indeed, these weapons would be powerful enough to end the rebellion and even lead us to victory offshores. As for departure, I want to leave as soon as possible." Rhykim was going over a mental itinerary. "As diplomats, neither party would be engaged during the formal open table discussions. However, when discussions are over, a fight may ensue."

Xeonph nodded. "Alright. Are there any preparations I make before we need to head out?" While he appeared calm on the outside, he felt uneasy on the inside. What if these weapons weren't enough? While he thought Rhykim wouldn't, he still felt uneasy about these weapons. The Gerudo were a very skilled people and a powerful weapon would not be enough to defeat them, or so he thought.

"Just get yourself ready to move out in about a couple hour's time and prepare your soldiers for mobilization, Commander. Ensure everyone is prepared for anything along the way. It's quite possible there could be an ambush. I trust you'll be ready. If you'll excuse me, I need to make a couple final preparations as well." With that, Rhykim walked away towards another part of Logata Castle. He headed to one of his senior dockmaster stationed there.

Rhykim: "While I'm away, I wish for you to start making a fleet. I will be gone for at least a week. By my return, I want construction on several new, bigger warships to already begin."

Dockmaster: "Milord, are you preparing for war? The weapons on the ships are proving to be stable, however, I have no clue how long. The inventor was even unsure."

Rhykim: "I have faith they're stable. Just start the planning and construction."

Dockmaster: "As you wish, Milord. Is there anything specific 'cept for your request of bigger, new ships?"

Rhykim: "Yes, I want one to be fully armed to as much as you can fit. I want this to be my flagship. Try to minimize as much crew, and in turn transform a large portion of standard crew quarters into more cannons."

Dockmaster: "Very good, Milord. I will begin at once."

Rhykim left the man to his work. He returned to the Throne Room to continue making final preparations with other delegates and advisors.

Xeonph went about rounding up his troops, telling them to be prepared in 90 minutes time. He told them to expect any and everything, but to take as little as possible so as to increase travel time. After doing so, he made the preparations himself, although there wasn't much to prepare for. He wondered what to expect along the way. He just hoped he'd survive through it, although anything otherwise seemed doubtful. He smirked to himself as he thought this.

"I'll follow your lead on this." Endin said, walking behind Amaya. "But we should probably take pike men or something else to combat riders. Silvervale's cavalry won't go down without a fight."
'Stop advising her, idiot' He though, mentally beating himself over the head. 'You already betrayed the king and now you're working against your brother?'

Amaya nodded. "Good thinking. Not sure how many of those we have. I know the Stari won't have any, we have no need to fight horses in the close confines of our forest. The humans and Logatans, on the other hand, would have had more experiance." She yelled for a few other men to prepare to leave. "Shouldn't need them, but better safe than sorry. And maybe showing them we can fight them off will keep them from attacking us at all." She hoped that latter one wouldn't happen; she liked her blood and gore. She paused and turned to Endin. "Are you riding, or do you plan to march?" She knew it would be faster to ride, but the majority of the forces had no horses. That's why she ordered more Stari; they were fast runners so she could set a grueling pace if she desired to. She had to be considerate of her companion, though, even if she didn't trust him.

Xeonph had been keeping to himself, but he had overheard two other of Rhykim's officers discussing their preparations. He rudely butted into the conversation, although he tried to be sneaky about it. "I assume we're marching. After all, horses for an entire battalion seems a little... shall we say, 'overcompensating."

"We'll have to march most of the way, just for supply reasons. Can't fight on worn out horses." He tried to remember who the Draco who'd joined them was. "We should ride, though. Sitting a few feet above the soldiers does just as well as punishments for showing command."
Suddenly he recognized the shield on Xenoph's back. "We've talked before, haven't we? After your fight in the courtyard?"

Amaya narrowed her eyes at the Draco. She was certain he wasn't going with them. He had no authority to dictate what she did or how she did it. She was tempted to order them all on horses simply because he said they shouldn't, even though she had no clue how to ride. She glanced side-ways at Endin as he said he would ride. She liked his reason for it. Too bad he's a traitor. He and I might get along quite nicely, she thought with a grin. Solar rolled his eyes as he saw it. "You two can catch up if you like," Amaya said a little impatiently, "But we need to head out soon." She turned and headed to where a group had already gathered in preparation. She examained them. Mostly Stari, as she liked, but there were several humans and Logatans. She eyed those critically, sending back ones that had been part of the former Royal Guard. She refused to have anyone on her group who had previously been a traitor. Endin was only because Rhykim had ordered it. Otherwise, she wouldn't bring him as well. If they turned traitor once to save their hides, they could do it again.

(Xenoph was simply interpreting it as horses for everybody which he said was a bad idea)

Xeonph detected an air of harshness in the Stari's voice. He dismissed it and responded to Endin. 'Yes, we have. Perhaps not as I would have hoped but... Apparently I'm some sort of field commander now. I assume we're departing for Silvervale shortly?' He pondered slightly, than continued. 'You're a general or something, correct?'

Rhykim returned to the barracks after his preparations had been made. He approached Xeonph with a small emblem in his hand. "On this day, let it be known that this man, a Draco and former successful assassin, has been included into the Expeditionary Force. Due to your success and loyalty to me, despite compensation, I am hereby granting you this rank as Field Commander. This is the highest achievable rank for any member of the Force. Take it, respectfully."

Rhykim held the emblem to Xeonph's should of his clothing/armor and waved his hand over it. It magically inserted and stitched itself into the outer layer.

"Congratulations on the promotion." Endin said, watching Amaya leave. "I guess we're the same rank now. The only generals are that sadist over there," He jerked his head towards Amaya, "and her sister."
He suddenly flinched, noticing Rhykim standing near them, looming over Endin. "I apologize for the subversive remark, Sir. Though I don't agree with the general's methods, I won't allow my personal opinion of her to interfere with our mission. It was only an attempt to gain support from my comrades."

Upon recieving the promotion, Xeonph bowed on one knee(or whatever the protocol is). 'Thank you my lord. I will not fail you.' He stayed down as Endin spoke, perhaps avoiding any impending conflict that may result.

Rhykim approached Endin. His massive body towering over the field commanders. "Good, it had better not. However, if another conjecture like that is made, I will break you in half. Understand?"

Endin nodded and got on one knee next to Xenoph, wishing the ground wasn't so muddy.
"Of course. My remark was belligerent and won't happen again."
Under his shirt, the crystal glinted slightly as his mind spun. He felt the chains holding it back, keeping him sane groan. 'The invader won't get a chance. I'll kill it, and its pet. So stupid, it doesn't even suspect."
He clenched his jaw, forcing the anger down.
