Tyra stood at the prow of White Wolf, watching the waves dash against the ship as it plowed its way to its destination. She whistled cheerfully while keeping a close eye on the direction they were sailing. She didn't want to deviate off course; they were on a mission after all.

Corin rolled a barrel over to the White Wolf's starboard cannon, careful not to let it roll away in fear that it might squash one of his crewmates or roll overboard. He lifted a few simple cannonballs into the cannon before bringing them to the opposite cannon. As he loaded the second cannon, Corin noticed a loose plank flapping on the deck beside him, so he nailed it back in after rolling the ammo into the cannon. He then ran up to his sister at the front of the boat to see if she needed anything else worked on before they spotted their target. "Anything left to fix up?" He asked her as the waves splashed against the ship's bow. -
Tyra looked over at her brother as he approached her. She grinned at him. "Not that I know of, Sparrow. You do a good job keeping the old girl in shape." She patted the railing of her ship. "She's a good, strong ship, isn't she. My little wolf." She laughed. "Not so little, though, is she." She turned to Corin. "I assume the cannons are loaded and ready to fire when we arrive?"Phillipians 4:13 - I can do everything through him who gives me strength.

"Yup," Corin answered his sister. "I just loaded them up a few seconds ago. We had a loose plank by the broadside cannon as well, hammered that one right back in." He paused as he gazed out at the vast blue expanse stretching in front of their ship. "When do you think we'll be spotting em?" Corin was itching to get the news about their target.Comment

Tyra glanced up at their sail and guessed roughly what their speed was based on how full the sail was compared to how strong she knew the currents were. Then she visualized a map in her head, placing their target's position on it based on their information, and the White Wolf's approximate location based on landmarks. "Should probably be a half hour," she finally answered. "As long as the wind favors us, at least. Looks like it will for a while, so let's hope it sticks around long enough." Thirty minutes. That was longer than Corin had expected. Since he had already loaded up the cannons and the ship was already in very good shape, he went below the deck to his cabin and picked up his guitar like usual when he has nothing to do. He didn't have to fish either, because they had a full sack of raw fish to go through, which would last a few more days. He sat on his bed with the guitar and started playing an old and simple song he already knew well. He wasn't stressed about where they were headed because from what he had heard, he guessed that they wouldn't be up against too much of a challenge. He assumed that whatever was going to happen wouldn't be too bad.Comment

Jasin walked out onto the deck. He couldn't stand that infernal strumming of Corin's, no matter how well he was playing. The very sound of a guitar tweaked his nerves. He walked up to Tyra. "How much longer until you expect we'll arrive?"So I'm back, or at least I will be eventually. Trying to reintegrate myself.

Zaria leaned on the doorframe of Corin's room, knocking lightly on the doorframe. Unlike Jasin, who she passed in the hallway, she much more tolerant of the boy's musical ability. "You're getting better," she remarked, smiling. "Did your sister figure out how much longer until we get to where we're going?"Old Age of War stuff here:

Corin was a bit startled when he heard tapping on the other side of his door as he was getting deep into his playing, but soon realized that it was Zaria. "She says about a half hour," He answered her from the opposite side of the door. "You can come in if you want." He gladly told her. He preferred talking with people in the same room.Comment

Zaria groaned as she walked in the room and sat on the floor in front of Corin, smacking her head lightly against the wall. "Thirty minutes is way too long, do you know how much stuff we could do in half an hour? A lot of stuff." Sighing, she picked at a bandaged wrapped around her foot and a little ways up her shin. "Are we going to a town? I wasn't informed of the plan."Old Age of War stuff here:

Jasin nodded silently. Considering the short conversation finished, he walked over to the side of the ship and observed the passing of the waves. The reflections in the water. The glint of the sun. The gentle bobbing of the ship. You know, the more he focussed on it, the less gentle it seemed to get. He quickly stepped away from the edge. (Sorry about keeping you waiting for so long, Ammy. I was gonna wait for more info on the plan but whatever this should be fine)
"I think it's going to be another ship today," Corin told Zaria as he kept playing slow, mellow chords on his guitar. "We're after something, I don't remember what." For a while, the only sound that could be heard was Corin's calm, gentle strumming, the waves splashing outside, and the slight creaking of the ship; the sounds Corin liked most and had been hearing ever since he started living on the White Wolf with his sister three years before.
"How's that going?" He asked, trying to point at Zaria's bandage with the neck of his guitar while he played. "Getting any better?"Comment

Zaria had laid her head back against the wall again while Corin played, and shrugged when he spoke. "If I keep wrapping it 24/7 I probably won't build up calluses, but I'm getting pretty used to the blisters." she had also stopped picking at it for a while, knowing she was getting low on cash and was nearly out of new bandages. "Maybe if I stop wrapping them so thick?" she chuckled. "Or actually started walking instead of flying everywhere."Old Age of War stuff here:

Ever since meeting his first rito, Zaria, Corin had wondered what it was like to be able to fly everywhere. He thought it must be nice; you could get anywhere quicker and get out of almost any fight if you need to. "Yeah," Corin murmured as he played, smoothly transitioning into another song. It was a Logatan folk song for a legend about a deep sea-monster who took whole ships underwater and ate everything it could. When he thought hard about the song, it kinda freaked him out, but he had heard it so much he didn't pay much attention to it. It was even one of his favorite songs to play because he liked the melody so much. He knew the words by heart, but chose not to sing. He felt too calm to sing. "Remember this song?" He asked Zaria. He hadn't played it for a while because he had such a broad repertoire.Comment
