"Yup, with a black outline so it sticks out," Corin told Zaria. "Hold on!" He slid off the edge of the ship after he was all tied up and hung the paint buckets on two long, firm nails that had been nailed on the back of the ship long ago for this purpose. First, he scrubbed across the whole back of the ship with a large, wet brush, and in a few minutes, all traces of the "White Wolf" text was gone. He then dipped another brush in a hanging bucket and hastily whipped it around the left side of the ship's back, beginning a large, blue S. Whenever he paints ship names, it looks like Corin is working too quickly to make it look good, but once the outline is finished it looks as neat as if they paid someone to do it at the port.

Felix smiled and nodded at the praise. He quickly moved away to Tyra's quarters and looked around until he found the flag she had mentioned. After so long, the room still felt hostile towards him, as though it was too private for him to be there so he made sure to keep everything the exact way it was and not touch anything private. As he closed the door he was sure he could hear Jasin working somewhere along this level of the ship. He ignored it and moved back on deck. There he looked around for Tyra or Zaria to give them the flag to raise. It was heavier than it seemed, but not enough to slow him down.

Tyra smiled with pride as she watched her crew go about their tasks. Despite only being related to Corin, she liked considering the whole crew her family, either as her kids or younger siblings. It always seemed to fill her with pride as she watched them.
Seeing Felix climbing back up with the flag, she moved to the mast and lowered the Jolly Roger and the White Wolf's flag. Folding them up carefully, she set them on the deck, then took the new flag from Felix. "Thanks, Beaver," she told him as she started hoisting it up. "We'll need to figure out what occupational flag to fly, but we can wait on that for now."Phillipians 4:13 - I can do everything through him who gives me strength.

Felix nodded in response. He waited for a few seconds before talking. "I believe I will go to the kitchen now. Surely some of our crew will be hungry after such an impressive raid," he mentioned, then almost forgot to add, "with your permission, Captain." He waited to get the proper leave. After all, he was technically still a slave on that ship, as much as it felt like family. The wind whistled in his ears, and the crash of the waves on the ship was soothing. He didn't mind waiting for a response. Not when it was so calming and beautiful out on deck. Not that he didn't like being in the kitchen, but still.

Zaria shivered a bit when the wind ran through her feathers; there was a slight chill in the wind, and it seemed to cut through to her skin. Waiting until Corin was done with a stroke, she shifted him slightly to the right so he could continue to paint. "About how far along are you?" she shouted down to him over the sound of the waves and the whistle of the wind.Old Age of War stuff here:

Corin whipped the paint brush all around the back of the ship, quickly marking each letter in blue. "Almost done with the second word,” Corin called back to Zaria after she spoke. He painted the words in a fancy way, making it look like a queen might even be on board. Once he had finished the main painting of the new name, he asked his Rito helper to bring him back to where he had hung the paint buckets to begin the black outline.

"Of course you can," Tyra said, waving a hand over her shoulder distractedly, her gaze still focused on the flapping flag. "And now that you mention food, my stomach is reminding me I forgot breakfast." She turned to Felix with a grin. "So make it snappy, would ya?" she ordered teasingly. She moved back to the tiller and unlashed it. Since she didn't have anything else to do, she might as well keep a firm grip on their direction. They could be lazy about getting back to Falconmill, but she didn't want them to go off course accidently.Phillipians 4:13 - I can do everything through him who gives me strength.

Zaria hunched her shoulders and pulled Corin up to the paint buckets, waiting for him to switch colors and then easing him back down. "It looks good from here so far, I'll have to check it out later when we're in Falconmill." She glanced to the sky and watched the clouds crawl slowly through the blue. "What do you think of the weather for our trip?"Old Age of War stuff here:

Jasin's hand seemed to be cramped into an almost gnarled position. His eyes had been straining, and he leaned back and leafed through the 4-5 pages of diagrams from what seemed like every angle. He smiled. There were certainly some very intricate parts, but other than that it was almost simple. He left his workplace as it is, and walked back up to the deck to find Tyra at the tiller. "I've completed the drawings, and they're sitting on a table below deck. I'd start replicating, but I don't believe we have the necessary equipment onboard."So I'm back, or at least I will be eventually. Trying to reintegrate myself.

When Zaria brought him back to the paint, Corin left the brush he had used before in the blue bucket, then took out a new one and dipped it in the black. As she brought him back down to continue painting, he too looked towards the sky, at the few clouds floating by. There were some rain clouds in the distance, but nothing looked too threatening. "We should probably be fine for the rest of this trip," Corin replied to Zaria. He quickly but neatly outlined the elegant letters spelling out Sea Queen, and was done in under ten minutes. After outlining, he finally got some pitch on a fresh, large brush and covered the new paint with it to keep his work from coming off.Last edited by HyrulianBlackcat; 03-02-2013, 09:53 PM.

Tyra nodded without looking away from their path. "What all do you need?" she asked. "We might be able to get some of it in Falconmill, but depending on what you need, we might have to steal some things, and definately spread out our purchases, so that no one will be able to link Sea Queen with the recent raid by White Wolf." She patted the tiller affectionately. "I'll get some of the other crew to purchase some of the things too, so that the connection is even less obvious. We should pull into port by nightfall, so it shouldn't take long for us to get everything." She glanced over her shoulder as she felt a breathe of wind. There were a few rain clouds in the distance, gently blowing towards them. "Might get a little wet," she muttered, quickly calculating how long it would take those little clouds to catch up, then shrugged as she decided it didn't matter. It wouldn't be a gale storm, so there wasn't anything to worry about. Just a little soaking, and they were used to the sea spray making it nearly impossible to be completely dry anyways.Phillipians 4:13 - I can do everything through him who gives me strength.

Felix nodded and once again headed below deck. This time he didn't stop at the first sub-level and instead went down another floor, to the kitchen. As he pushed the door open the familiar warmth rose up to meet him. He grabbed the sack of food that'd been left outside and brought it in as he moved forward. At once he began thinking of what to cook for breakfast. His own stomach was talking with him, but for now it wasn't time to feed his self. He picked up a knife and began cutting some vegetables, while a pot with water boiled next to him. He'd make sure the meal was as good as any.

(I assume my guys moved here too. Tell me if I'm wrong.)
Holding his breath, Alwin completed the climb without difficulty, jumping onto the ship while no one was looking, hiding behind a few barrels. He didn't understand what Dean meant by, "Destiny calls", but he had nowhere else to go. H e peeked out at the rest of the people.Last edited by DekuNut; 08-27-2013, 09:19 AM.
