"Aren't possible, eh?" Sephira commented, hopping away from the bright blades. "So you dream of flying? Of manipulating the elements like I do?" She grinned, her body and blade moving with a determination that her voice and face didn't reflect. It was one of her few advantages over James, her knowledge of body language. After all, one could predict their opponent's moves based on body language, but she knew how to, not quite lie as that was an impossibility, but imply an untruth. Her weight would shift one way as if to attack from that side, then twist to swipe from the other.
Despite her handful of tricks, James still won their fight, although she teased that it was only because she let him. In a way it was true, of course. Her fire gave her an unfair advantage in any serious fight, but she naturally wouldn't use it against James, not in earnest. Regardless, the duel had the intended affect of relaxing the pair and easing their worries about Elwood.

(Do we want to land soon? If so, I vote J landing us in Falconmill.)
