    Orlin looks at Inga, confused. He wasn't sure what was so great about those masks. 50 rupees was a ripoff, yeah, but that had to be worth more than these things... maybe she knew something he didn't?
    Since she was already moving, Orlin had to run in order to catch up to the girl, "What's with the masks?"

      After reemerging from the hole in the ground into the dimly lit North clock town, Inga led the way by leaping to a branch then to the top of the walls above town where they could walk without being too easily noticed. "My mentor told me once about the masks from this region," Inga began. "Masks that give the wearer special abilities... I can sense the magic within them. I believe we just did quite the bargain." She handed the skeletal mask to Orlin. "Looks sorta like a stalchild, doesn't it?"

        Orlin looks the mask up and down, "Yeah, and that doesn't make me like it any more," he gives it a sideways glance, its dead eyes staring back at him.
        "What do you think this thing does then? Kills people on site? Summons a bone boomerang?"

          Inga smirked at Orlin's comment and the idea of simply putting on a mask and smiting people. She barely had an idea of what the mask would do, but she had a feeling that wasn't it. "Probably not that, but I have just the slightest idea. Have you heard of the enchanted masks before? I've been told that there were masks that are able to alter your form into what you see on the mask." Inga was a little worried that the mask might do nothing, but why would they be sitting among all the other interesting illicit black market goods if they had no function?

            Orlin stares at her, then the mask. He'd heard legends, but he was 90% sure that's all they were. None of that hogwash even made any sense. He laughs, "That's what all this is? You wasted a key that could've cost hundreds, if not thousands, on legends? he immediately sobers up, "That's idiotic. Completely. Here, lemme prove it to you," he puts on the masks in defiance.

              Inga watched in embarrassment as Orlin put on the mask but remained a deku. She realized that it was kind of silly to choose the masks just because they reminded her of legends. Then again, she could have easily passed by the keys she had traded in the first place."It couldn't have been worth that much," she said. "Who in this town would be interested in doing a jailbreak when you really think about it? I just made them seem valuable so he would give me something good. And I still think these may be some good..." Now the duo was reaching the eastern edge of Clocktown's rooftops overlooking Termina Field and the valley beyond. The night was still and quiet, and Inga felt strangely comfortable in this strange town.
              "Would you care to join me for a walk into the desert? About the legends," she added sarcastically. She really had an idea for training in the valley. It had been a while since she had been on her training grind. She felt the need to get some practice in, and wanted to take Orlin along. Despite their introduction, he turned out friendly and was a good fighter. Plus she was hoping she could prove there really was a use for the masks in the habitat of the monsters they resembled.

                "To the right idiots? It could be," the Deku sighed. He probably was over exaggerating a little... or a lot... but he wasn't going to admit it. He took off the mask and stared at it. It kinda creeped him out - as Inga had said, it looked like a stalchild, and the bones it was made of almost felt real. Even if he didn't have bones, it was still disconcerting. He wordlessly offered her the mask back as he considered what she'd said. Despite her trust in old legends, she was someone willing to treat him decent, which was rare for a Scrub to find. And it's not like he had anything going on for him in Clock Town - or hell, even most of Termina - so the answer was simple.
                "May as well," He huffed, "Can't say I've been to the desert. May as well check it out."

                  "Oh, you'll love it," Inga smiled. "Peaceful place. Let's be off then." After walking atop the walls to the east side of town, Inga jumped to the grass on the other side and whistled for her mount.
