Alec walked out of the office, making sure that Jacob was behind him at all times. He looked around expeditiously, hoping to see either Widow or a little deku soon. Even though it seemed like the fight was ending and the invaders had won, it was still chaotic in some places of Clock Town. They needed to get out of there immediately, lest the new governing powers decide that no one could leave and they were stuck there. "Do you see them, Jacob" he asked the boy, thinking maybe he was having better luck than him.

Jacob looked left, scanned the area, then looked right, and scanned the area again. He repeated this process multiple times, but he still didn't see them. "I can't see them!" Jacob almost yelled in frustration. "WIDOW! ODIN! WHERE ARE YOU!??!!??!" Jacob yelled in frustration after looking a little more.

Maxwell finished off the last guard he was fighting and sheathed his sword. I have to find some place where everybody will hear me...maybe the highest point besides the Clock Tower? Maxwell said as he walked around, examining all the dead bodies on the ground.

At first Alec was surprised at Jacob's desperation, but he realized it was understandable. They needed to get away from Clock Town as fast as their feet could carry them. He didn't know who had taken over the town, (although having seen Yuki he didn't think it took too much thinking to figure it out) but if they decided not to let anyone leave while they set up new rules he didn't want to be in the town when it happened. He vociferated, louder than Jacob had, raising his voice above the clamor of the town. If Widow and Odin didn't hear it, he didn't know how they were going to find them.

Widow heard Jacob's call and ran as fast as she could, keeping a tight hold on odin so that he wouldnt fall and hurt himself. she made it their quickly, and smiled brightly at them. she placed odin down softly near jacob, then ran stright into Alec's arms, hugging him tightly, tears pooling her eyes "I thought I would never see you both again" she said softly. nerver wanting to let go of alec, her first, and hopefully only, love.

Alec hugged Widow back, glad to finally have everyone together again. It was grand that she had been able to hear the calls, and now they needed to think of some way to get out. He slowly pulled away, as much as he would've liked to remain like that for a while. "I'm thrilled that you guys made it," he said, while ruffling Odin's leaves and smiling from ear to ear at Widow. Then he added, taking on a much more serious tone, "We need to find a way out of the Town before Maxwell's guys begin keeping a check on people." He frowned, looking around. They needed to get out, specially to get the boys to safety. But how? He saw a girl a bit further away, red hair, getting things into a small carriage. He didn't recognize her, but maybe if they could convince her to take them...

Jacob noticed Alec was looking at something and followed his gaze. As soon as he saw Cremia, Jacob panicked. Oh great, not her! She's going to kill me! Jacob thought, remembering that he had ditched her little sister and Odin after drinking a potion that changed temporarily changed him. Oh man, I am screwed if we have to go over to her.

Alec took a few steps in the direction of Cremia. Slowly he began recognizing her. He had never actually talked with her, but he knew who she was. Everyone did. Cremia was the current owner of Romani Ranch, and the one who single handedly took care of her little sister, Romani. Ideas began forming in Alec's head. Maybe it was time to lay down low and wait out the storm. Certainly, the ranch would be a great place to do that. He walked further towards her before calling out, "Cremia!" The girl turned with a jump. Judging by the way she was packing items into the carriage, he guessed she had had the same idea about leaving before Maxwell did anything that they had. She studied him for a moment before answering. "Hello, I don't believe I've met you, but frankly I don't believe I have time to spare right now. Maybe some other time," she sighed and went back to packing. He was now close enough so as to not to have to yell anymore. "I'm sorry to bother you, but, we need your help," he started. She didn't turn but said, "What do you mean?"
"Well, we don't want to be here when the guy that's causing this hell decides to impose new rules. Back there, those are my family. Widow and I, we need to take care of our boys. You see, they're young, and while they're mature for their age, this is no place for them to be right now."
Now Cremia turned to see what he was talking about. She saw Widow and Jacob and Odin. She recognized the boys, and although she wasn't particularly fond of one of them, she knew they weren't bad kids. Alec continued. "It would really mean the world to me if you could... if you could take us with you."
                "Take you? Take you where?"
"Well, to your ranch of course," he expressed quietly. "You see, if you could help us, maybe let us stay there for a while, at least until we are well enough to get back on our feet..." His voice became more urgent as he spoke, time pressing down on him as the Sun traveled across the sky.
"I... I don't know," she muttered. Her eyes went from Alec, to Widow, to the boys. She was considering it, but it seemed like a far-fetched idea. "Well..."
Alec frowned, sweat beads forming on his forehead.

Maxwell sighed. He was getting bored. As soon as he made up the tower, he was going to do something. But what? Maxwell pondered this for a while. The first thing should be....blocking the exits. Second can be the epic speech. Maxwell concluded when he reached the top.

                  -----------------------------------------------------------

Jacob stood nervously. He knew he was ruining their chances of Cremia taking them.....
"Okay, look here ma'am." Jacob said, barely mustering enough courage to step forward. "You HAVE to take us in. Now, I know you probably hate me for what I did, but I won't even be there that long. I'll just be there to see them arrive, and then I'll leave, because the guy who is taking over Termina is my cousin, and I have to stop him somehow. Just take me out of the picture while you're thinking about it. You shouldn't reject them for something I did."

                  ---------------------------------------------------------------

Zebulon had stopped following Jacob sometime ago. Zeb knew that the people Jacob was with could take care of him, and he had an odd feeling he would be Jacob again in the near future. However, right now, Zeb had to focus on evacuation. "Go! Run while you can! Towards the east gate!" Zeb yelled among a crowd of people trying to escape. They quickly got the message and changed course. Zeb stopped and looked around. He couldn't see anybody. Which meant that either the exits were being blocked and everyone was there, or everyone was dead. Hopefully, it wasn't the latter.

(Just a little useless post cuz I'm bored)
As Ralatar sat on the roof, seemingly out of place due to his peacefulness, he watched all the town folk frantically running all over, desperately trying to make an escape from Clock Town. He wondered why so many people wanted to leave so much. It didn't seem like the invaders would kill anyone else--what would be the point of invading a town if you left nobody to rule over? He saw a man leading one group of people towards a gate. They really looked desperate. It made Ralatar feel like he was missing something, like there was something he hadn't heard about that would send him running out of town too. As he sat there pondering above the town's chaos, he got a sudden chill, realizing that his family might be more screwed by this than they knew. For all he knew, this new government could put them in a field, or draft him into the military or something. Or maybe Clock Town would grow into something better than it had ever been. That's if the invaders won though, of course. He would certainly be fine with it if the old government somehow stayed and everything went on like usual.

Alec looked at Jacob with distinct wonder. Hate him? What had he ever done to her? He reckoned it had probably been before they met him, but still, it didn't seem like a kid like him could be capable of hurting someone like Cremia. He also bounced the words in his mind about Jacob leaving once they were at the farm. Usually, he would've had a violent reaction to it. If it had been anyone else he would've inquired and tried to stop them. But this was Jacob. He had learned that this boy was far more mature than most. He also knew that he was capable of taking care of himself. If there was something he had to do, he'd let him.
Cremia looked at Jacob. If what he said was true, then there wouldn't be too much need to worry about him. She turned to the carriage, mentally measuring out the space. It seemed like they could fit, a little tightly packed, but it was doable. She sighed and turned back to Alec. After another pause, she talked. "Alright, I'll see what I can do. But if you're coming with me, you better hurry. I'm leaving, now, and I'll leave whether you're in the carriage or not. She turned back and finished packing.
Alec sighed with relief. "Thank you, Ma'am." He turned back to Widow and Odin, "Come on, guys, we're leaving. Hurry!" Then he looked at Jacob, and gave him a half smile, wonder still in his eyes, before starting to help them into the carriage.

Maxwell watched as the guards went to block the exit. Most of the fighting citizens either left or got killed, so Maxwell thought it would be easy to block the exits. But little did he know......

                        -----------------------------------------------------------

As the carriage made its way toward exit, two guards blocked their way, forcing the carriage to halt. "Stop, in the name of the law!" One guard said. "You must get off your carriage and allow us to disassemble it immediately! Your king has ordered that no one be allowed to leave!"

                        -----------------------------------------------------------

As Zebulon ran through Clock Town searching for people in need, he spotted two guards stopping a carriage. "I don't think so!" Zeb muttered to himself as he ran at the guards, sword in hand. As soon as he got close, Zeb cut the closest guard's arm. He tried to get in another hit, but the guard blocked his attack. Soon enough, both guards were fighting him. "Go! The exit's right there! I'll cover you!" Zeb managed to yell to the carriage, which for some odd reason remained in the same place they had stopped at.

For a moment Alec was very worried about the guards. It seemed they had been too late, and they wouldn't be allowed to leave. Suddenly, Zebulon stepped in and distracted them. He didn't recall ever seeing the guy before, so he couldn't see any reason why he would help.
"Oh my," muttered Cremia, as they began to fight. When he yelled at them, she nodded, pulled the reigns, and moved forward and through the exit. Alec watched behind them to make sure they weren't followed. "I sure hope that nice man is OK," Cremia said.
Alec nodded, "Me too, who'er he be."

When Zeb decided the carriage had good enough distance, he stopped attacking the guards and ran off. I'll be back. And I'll save this town.

*Zeb heads to (name not yet determined)*
                            --------------------------------------

After Maxwell got to the top of the Clocktown Tower, he surveyed the area. There were a fair amount of people outside of Clocktown, but also a good amount inside Clocktown. He estimated his forces had eliminated a quarter of Clocktown's population, and half of the population that was still alive was in Clocktown and the other half outside of Clocktown. "I like those odds..." Maxwell said, grinning at the thought. But with those odds, he would have to worry about a resistance forming. I'll see what I can do to improve the walls after I make my speech. Maxwell took a deep breath. This is it...the beginning of a new era.

"Clocktown, today, a new era rises out of the ashes of the last one! Today, a weak government has been overthrown, and a newer, stronger one will take its place! Today, I, Maxwell Kal, become your king! I am the beginning of Termina's journey to become the strongest nation! A nation that the others fear, and never even think about opposing! We will show them that Termina is no longer the weak, awkward nation in the northeast! We will show them that Termina is the strongest nation! We will show them who to fear!" Maxwell stopped and took a breath. He wasn't used to yelling that loud.

"For now, rest, and wait. But very soon, you will see the changes, and we will become the strongest!"
