He had in fact remembered this girl. He remembered that she was the one he'd seen in the markets with the funny-looking marks. Though that didn't matter now. There were other more important things to worry about now. Like Duke. Odin grabbed the toy and clutched it to his chest, a tearful reunion between a child and his cherished toy. Then he wrapped his arms around Destinie's neck, ensuring that he didn't fall. He looked around and found that he rather liked being at this height. From up here, he would be better able to find what he needed to find. Or in this case, who. "We have to Widow and Alec!" he said, leaning into the girl's ear to ensure that she could hear him over the other annoying shouting people. "Alec ran away somewhere and Widow got lost."

Destinie smiled, reaching up to pat his knee reassuringly. "Don't worry, little man. We'll find them." She slowl turned in a circle, so that he could see all around them. "Do you see either of them?"Comment

Alden, running to see the disturbance, bumped into a girl and a child. He turned to them. "You'd better get out of here! Someone's trying to take over Clock Town, or something! Follow the crowds!" He drew his swords and began to run against the flow, trying to assert his authority as a knight to pass through.
Who would want to do this to these people?So I'm back, or at least I will be eventually. Trying to reintegrate myself.

Jacob and Zebulon fought furiously as the swarm of mysterious men (who Jacob knew worked for Maxwell, so they weren't THAT mysterious) surrounded them. While the men had great numbers, it was clear Jacob and Zebulon were more skilled.
"I can do this all day!" Jacob said cheerfully, slashing at the men while not realizing kids his age killing people was quite disturbing.
"I bet you can." Zebulon said sarcastically as he was scarred for life knowing that a nine year old enjoyed using a sword. But he still appreciated the fact that someone was helping him.
Later...
As Zebulon stabbed the last man, he shouted a few words that made Zebulon wish he had beheaded the guy instead.
"All troops! To my location! Eliminate the man and the boy with swords!"
As the man finished his setence, Zebulon pulled his sword out of the man's body, exchanged looks with Jacob, and they both ran. They were in deep trouble.

Maxwell stared in confusion when he saw some of his troops about twenty yards in front of him hurry somewhere else. He ran over to one of them and grabbed him.
"What is going on? Where are you guys going?" Maxwell asked the soldier.
"The commander of our squad just hailed us, your Majesty. Nobody else has to go, just us." The soldier replied. It took a few seconds for Maxwell to remember if that was allowed in his army or not, but he eventually let the soldier go.

Captain Viscen noted the abnormally tall Zora was trying to help him. If they survived, he'd have to get to know this guy. However, surviving didn't seem like an option as of the moment. Only one of his honor guard remained, leaving him, the guard, and the Zora the only defenders of North Clocktown. If the honor guard was down, Viscen was sure the rest of the guards were either gone or going as well. Still, he did not hesitate as he fought on.
Alec was now inside Clocktown and it was chaotic. People screaming, men dressed in black fighting with the guards. The guards losing. He began yelling for Jacob as soon as possible. "Jacob! Are you here? Jacob!" He looked around desperately, trying hard to avoid the main fight.Comment

Alden swung his swords, almost wildly. He was cutting down whoever looked as the enemy. He was stunned at the sheer panic being caused.
Who's leading all these people? My blades may have to have a discussion with them.
He whipped around, stabbing someone and throwing them over his shoulder into someone else. He was carving a path, hopefully allowing more forces into the heat of battle. As Jacob and Zebulon ran through Clock Town trying to not be found by soldiers, Jacob heard his name being called out. If he hadn't known the voice, he would've thought it was Maxwell. But he knew that voice. It was Alec's. It was his (adopted) dad.
"DAD! DAD, I'M HERE!" Jacob shouted as he ran in the direction the voice was coming from.

Zebulon quickly noticed Jacob going in another direction and hesistated. He could follow Jacob and make sure he got there safely, but at the same time Zeb knew it was ALWAYS awkward when a parent sees their kid followed by an adult. But it didn't seem right to just let a kid into a unstable town alone at the same time. Then Zeb moved after Jacob. He would follow him, but from a distance.Comment

"I can hear Alec!" Odin cried, bouncing up and down excitedly on Destinie's shoulders while pointing at where he thought the voice was coming from. "And..." He strained himself to listen more closely, leaning forward a little. "I think I hear Jacob!" He immediately stood up on her shoulders, keeping his grip by holding onto her forehead, and hollered his name, gathering the attention of the surrounding guards. "Jacob! Hey Jacob! Jacob didn't hear Odin yelling, so he kept going in Alec's direction. However, Jacob was a bit worried he missed Alec.
"Dad? Daad?! Where are you?!" Jacob hollered over the sounds of the fighting, now worried that one of Max's soldiers had killed him.

While Jacob didn't hear Odin's cry, Zebulon did. He scanned the crowd behind him for a bit while trying to locate the source of the voice. "I thought you were dead"? Zebulon asked himself, but of course, to no avail. First the sword thing, and now he's possibly a zombie? Zeb shook his head and continued after Jacob, still taking care to make sure to get the perfect distance from Jacob.Comment

Alec halted in his tracks. He was sure he had heard Jacob. He froze for a moment, trying to identify where the sound was coming from. He realized it had suddenly gotten louder and then lower again, which meant... "Jacob! I'm here!" He turned, now knowing the little boy had probably passed right by him in the confusion and neither of them had seen each other. He hoped the boy could see him now, because he couldn't.
Viscen was tired. All of the honor guards were dead. All of them. More and more attackers were surrounding him and the zora who was helping. He didn't know how much longer they could hold out. In a final wild attempt, he called out as loud as he could. "People of Clocktown! The battle is nearing its end, and all does not fare well for us. Those of you able enough, join me now, your guard, your captain. Townspeople, guards, visitors. Those of you capable with a sword, come help your town. Come fight for your honor, for your family, for your life." He took a deep breath. "Arise defenders of Clocktown! Forth, and fear no darkness! Spears shall be shaken, shields shall be splintered! Join me now in a final stand, and together we shall drive the filth stained in black from our homes. A sword day, a red day, 'ere the Sun rises! Join me now in South Clocktown, and fight!!" With that said he began slashing his way to the exit to South Clocktown, hoping the zora would follow. He continued repeating his call, and those who heard spread the word around town faster than the smell of food spreads hunger, so that it was known. The final battle would be held in the South.Comment

K'ledanal grinned sardonically, guarding the captain's back. "South Clocktown. Not a bad place to make a stand, if I do say so myself. Let us hope this will not be our last." Cutting down another attacker, he roared a battle cry.
Destinie yelped, nearly overbalancing. "Sit down, Odin! You're going to make me fall!"Comment

Not far from Viscen, a young man stood, watching the captain. He looked like the lowlife of Clock Town, but really, he was an assassin hired by Maxwell Kal to assassinate Mayor Doctour and Captain Viscen. The world would be a better place if those two men were gone....or so the assassin was told.

Jacob looked around, confused. Had he just passed Alec? He ran back in the direction he came, only to run into Alec.
"Well, that didn't worked out as I planned." Jacob muttered to himself, rubbing his head while he sat on the ground as the result of running into Alec.

Maxwell grinned as Viscen called for a last stand in South Clock Town. "You will regret saying that out loud, old fool." Maxwell muttered to Viscen, even though he knew Viscen would not hear his words.Comment

K'ledanal frowned slightly, noticing a young lad standing not far from thier position. He looked innocent enough, until you saw his eyes. The kid had a killer's eyes. He would watch him for now, until he could confirm his suspicions.Comment
