Once Clocktown had settled down enough to seem like a safeish place again, Ralatar walked downstairs and to a wall outside in East Clocktown. Something had caught his eye as he sat on the Stock Pot Inn roof above; he had watched as a man that looked like he was from Maxwell's army posted papers throughout town. Ralatar walked over to one of them, seeing a sketch of a man's head and clear, bold letters in the torchlight that spelled out WANTED. He had never seen a poster like it in Clocktown before, but he knew just what it meant. Below was a name, Edward Lomeli, and a dead or alive reward: 5,000 rupees. As he read, Ralatar became more and more interested in catching this man. Here was an opportunity for a great amount of money his family needed, and he wouldn't mind a good thousand or so for himself. He had trained in combat over the course of many years. And, thanks to his beloved blade, he had fire. These advantages added up could win him this fight, or so he thought. He probably wouldn't be the only one going too, so he could have some help if he needed it. Soon the image of Edward's face was burnt into his memory, and Ralatar made a final decision — he was going to capture the man for the money.
"You lookin' to catch him?" A man said to Ralatar as he was turning to leave. Ralatar looked towards the source of the voice and saw the man standing in the darkness of the night. He wore the armor of Maxwell's army with a tall spear in one hand, a helmet blocking his face.
"I'm interested," Ralatar replied. "Do you know where I could find him?" He was oblivious to the whereabouts of Edward and anyone who might be with him.
"He's formed a little rebellion base between here and Ikana," the man answered. "How old are you, kid?"
    "I'm fourteen."
"You have a lot of courage for fourteen," he said, beginning to leave. "I'm not even going out there. Good luck."
Ralatar said goodbye and walked inside the Inn. Nobody was working the front desk, and he walked downstairs to his room without anyone seeing him. As he got to his room, all he could think about was the man. He had sparked a bit more courage in Ralatar, but at the same time he felt a bit more uncertain. He had looked like a strong grown man, but was passing up a 5,000 rupee opportunity, just for catching another man. Ralatar shook off the uneasiness. The man was probably just a father with lots of money already, without time to hunt.
In his room, Ralatar went into his drawers and took out a chain mail top and slid it on to protect his torso. It would also help him get through the town gates if the new guards acted like the old ones. His sword was already strapped by his waist and feeling ready, he headed for the door, but before he walked out Ralatar looked at something on the wall. His old Keaton mask; the symbol of his childhood. He thought about using it so Edward couldn't see his face, but figured it would only make him look suspicious as he made his way to the camp. He stared at the mask a bit longer. It always seemed to look back at him, sending memories from when Ralatar was a kid. He realized the trouble he could actually be getting himself into as he remembered his past, but quickly cut off these thoughts, pushing through the door. His mind was set on the prize, and he told himself he wouldn't die. Besides, if this Edward guy was so strong, he probably wouldn't kill a kid attacking him if he had any morals. Maybe all he had to worry about was being captured.
Ralatar hurried away from his room but paused to look around. Luckily, still nobody was out. His family would surely send him to bed if they saw him leaving with his armor on. Ralatar continued moving, making sure his steps were silent, and quietly left through the front door. He walked down the torchlit town and turned at the Clocktown exit to see a guard, as expected. He had never left town before because kids were never supposed to, but now he finally was. Hopefully Termina Field wouldn't be as dangerous a place as some people said.
"And where do you think you're going?" the guard asked. It was a new guard, another one of Maxwell's. Then Ralatar remembered that nobody was supposed to leave. He hoped the guard wouldn't think he was being tricked.
"I'm gonna catch him," Ralatar responded, pointing towards a wanted poster beside the guard.
The guard chuckled. "Alrighty then." He caught Ralatar as he left and took off an armband that showed he was part of Maxwell's army. "And take this so I know I can let you back in when you return." Ralatar took the armband and slid it on. It showed the same emblem as he had seen on the invaders' banners and armor. "And if you don't return..." the guard continued. "You either got killed or you're a rebel, and if that's the case, you'll end up like the rest of them when we're through."
"You don't have to worry about me being a rebel," Ralatar snickered, and began walking out. "I'm just going for money." He liked the new guards more. It didn't seem like they cared as much about what happened to him.
He kept walking and finally took his first step onto Terminan grass. He looked ahead and saw the rebel fires in no time. As he made his way towards them, he started planning for the first time about how he would exactly get to Edward to kill him without being killed. As he got closer, he was sure of one thing—he was going to blend in with the rebels perfectly, as long as they didn't recognize his armband, but he hid it under his sleeve anyways. He also had to make sure he arrived unseen, but it probably wouldn't be a problem thanks to his sneaking talent and the night's darkness, and he didn't see anyone focusing on him to begin with.

*Ralatar moves to Rebellion Base (but nobody interact with him quite yet...)*
