    A New City

    Malina stared around her in surprise. Lynna City wasn't small by any standards, but it didn't have near the same bustle that this Clock Town did. Lynna City was much more peaceful. Cheerful, granted, and it didn't have the same edge of fear that the people here did. But Clock Town wasn't as open, either, making the streets more crowded. And all the shops crowded into the walls. She felt that if she wanted anything, she could buy it here.
    Speaking of which...
    "Drake, you know what we should do while we're here? We need some new clothes. I don't know about you, but I've been wearing the same outfit for the past week, and I really need a change. I've money, so as long as Clock Town takes Rupees too, we should be alright. Jacob, do you know where we can find some decent clothes?"

    Jacob thought about Malina's question. He didn't really know where they could get clothes.

    "Umm...sorry, I don't know. I don't really pay attention to where things are in this place. But we should be able to find someone selling clothes if we just walk around. Sorry for not knowing. I guess I really should know." Jacob said, feeling a bit disappointed in himself.

    "Hey, don't beat yourself up over it. You don't need to know everything." Drake said, trying to comfort the kid so he wouldn't be in a bad mood.

      Malina smiled at the pair, then led Zylan through the packed streets. "Only way to find out then is to go exploring. Come on boys, let's see what we can find." She looked around herself wide-eyed. She knew where every shop was in Lynna City, but there weren't near as many as this place. There were shops that sold masks alone, amazing her with the detail in each mask. She saw a shop selling various kinds of explosives, and a few that sold herbs. She made a note of where each of them were, curious to return after they'd gotten a change of clothes. She also saw a store selling books and couldn't help pausing to peer in the windows, wondering they sold any books on spells and potions. She'd like a bit more to her one book.
      At last, they found an area where the shops sold clothes. Malina entered one and immediately began browsing. "You both can pick something out too," she said over her shoulder. "I've enough money for it, I think." She smiled, then focused on finding something for herself. She wanted something that would be comfortable to travel in, but would still give her some of the dignity she was used to as royalty. She found a pair of black boots easily enough, tough leather that would stand the hard travelling before them. A pair of black pants was next, also a hardy material. Finding a top she liked, though, was difficult. She didn't want to wear the color of Labrynna anymore, but she couldn't help but admire the purple garments. Finally she settled on a deep blue blouse and added a dark purple cloak with a darker purple outlining an image of the large clock atop the tower in the center of town.
      Satisfied with her new appearance, she paid for the garments, then went to find the two men, to see what sort of things they had found.

        Drake and Jacob looked around together, looking at their different options. Jacob was just focused on looking around, not concerned about getting new clothing, but Drake was actually looking for clothes he planned on wearing.

        "Man, I can't find anything!" Drake said to himself, a bit louder than he planned.

        "Me neither. Going to have to try the grab everything approach."

        "Wait, what?"

        Before Drake could do anything, Jacob sped off, grabbing random clothing. In about 30 seconds, Jacob was back with a big pile of clothing, and it looked like he could barely hold it. He dumped it in front of Drake, and started searching through it. Drake took a little to recognize what was happening, and began searching through the pile. Eventually, Drake and Jacob were able to find clothes, and put back the others that they weren't going to buy. However, they found out pretty quickly that they both didn't have money, so Malina had to pay.

        "Alright, that's all taken care of." Drake said as they exited the shop. "Now to get a map, see where the south is."

        "South? I can get you there!" Jacob said. "I lived there for a little. Why do you need to go there?"

        Drake hesitated. How much of his story would he tell this kid?

        "Well, I'm looking for someone, and I think he went to a friend who lives in the south. Family name started with a K or something like that."

        "K? My last name starts with K. Kal. My cousin lives in the south, but he isn't very nice. We could check there, but I'm not sure he'd be so happy to see me."

        "Does anybody else live in the south?"

        "The Deku do. My old friend was a Deku. He was pretty nice, but his parents were mean. They hurt me."

        Drake wasn't sure if 'Kal' was the family name his father had told him, but the other details matched the description. Though he hated to put Jacob in an uncomfortable place, Drake needed to know if his brother was there or not.

        "Sorry to hear that your friend's parents' hurt you, Jacob. They must've been really mean to do something like that. But I think we should go to your cousin's place. He might not be happy to see you, but the person I'm looking for is very important to me."

        Jacob frowned. "Okay, I guess we can go...but only if Miss Malina wants to go. Do you want to go, Miss Malina?"

          Malina raised an eyebrow. "No Miss. My proper title is Princess, but you just call me Malina. And sure, I'd like to go, if you won't be hard on you." She smiled and ruffled his hair, then looked up at Drake. "So, shall we? We can just lead Zylan along, give him a chance to rest. From what I remember, Termina's not too big, so we shouldn't have to worry about needing any supplies for a while." She led the way out of the shop and took Zylan's reins. She loosened the cinch on the saddle, then patted the horse's side and led the way to the southern gate. The guard barely gave them a glance as they passed through.
