As Alec walked he took a moment to turn and see Jacob following behind. He smiled and nodded at him before turning back to the front, they were nearing Justin's shop, and immediately he could see it...
Something was wrong...
There were a lot of people across from it, looking at it with horror, pointing desperately. Some of the younger ones were even crying, and a few were speaking quickly with guards, waving their hands around to illustrate what had happened. Alec frowned and began walking faster, soon in a slight trot, until finally he was sprinting towards the shop. Just when he was about to go through the door, he was stopped by a guard.
"I'm sorry, sir, but you can't pass," he said. Alec held Odin on him tightly and took Jacob's hand when he reached them.
"What do you mean we can't pass? What's happened?!" he asked a little less than normally.
"I'm sorry, sir, but I am not allowed to reveal any info-"
"Listen to me, sir, I know the guy who works here, so you better tell me what happened right now or I will make sure that you are hung in the dungeons for a day!"
The guard was a bit shocked by Alec's reaction and thought for a moment before slowly saying, "There's been a robbery."
"A robbery? Then why are you making such a fuss because of a robbery?...You know what forget it we're going in." He then pushed the guard to the side as he walked through the door, pulling Jacob and Odin with him, just as he heard the guard say something about how it wasn't a good idea that they went in there. Alec gasped at what he saw. There had been a struggle, that was obvious. Counters were broken, things were shattered on the floor, pushed around. But the most obvious and most traumatizing thing, was the body laying on the floor. It had its back to them, but Alec was sure of who it was. Justin's body was surrounded by a pool of blood, a clear cut through his shirt indicated the point where a sword had pierced him. It was a horrible sight. Alec put Odin down on the floor and covered his mouth with his hand in shock. Then he realized how horrible it must be for the little guy. He managed to speak.
"Jacob...I need you to...to take Odin with you, take him back to Widow and Kaida...tell them about...about this...bring them here..." He was quiet before another moment before adding, "Please...Jacob, go!"

When Jacob saw Justin's dead body, he grabbed Odin and ran back to Widow and Kaida. After making sure Odin hadn't been seperated from him, Jacob took a deep breath. "S-something really bad happened....I n-need you to follow me...." Jacob said, shivering as he remembered the image of Justin's dead body. "C-c'mon!" Jacob yelled as he started fast walking back to Alec.

Kaida nodded and gently pushed the panther's shoulder. It complied and rolled onto it side. Kaida looked carefully and soon spotted what she was looking for. She grinned up at Widow. "He is gorgeous, but he is actually a she."
She looked over as Jacob came running up with Odin. Both looked really upset and freaked out. She stood and was about to ask what was wrong when Jacob told her and Widow to follow him. She started to jog after him, the panther following at a mediocre pace. "What is it?" she asked as she followed.

"my mistake" widow said, that was when she noticed Odin and jacob, "are you two ok" she asked, clearly worried "Alec, where is Alec, what's happened" she took Odin in her arms "is he ok"

Odin was growing more and more confused by the second. He didn't understand why Jacob and Alec seemed...scared? Was that it? But how could they be scared? They were strong fighters and strong fighters never got scared! Not ever! Still, there was no denying the scent of panic in the air. Their emotions were starting to leak into him and now he was beginning to shake with fear. Had something happened in Joshua's store? Sure it'd looked a little messy, but that would happen to his room too whenever he'd play in it after a while. And why was Joshua just sleeping on the ground like that? He didn't look very comfortable to him... All of this raced through his little Deku mind in a matter of seconds as Jacob hurriedly ushered him away.
He tugged at Jacob's pants and looked up at him with worried eyes. "What's wrong?" he squeaked, trying to look brave. "Why is everyone shouting and running?"

"STOP!" Jacob said a bit loudly. A few people stopped in shock, suprised that a nine year old could sound so mature and angry at the same time, but they moved on. "I-i'm sorry....I-I just don't like being overwhelmed with questions...." Jacob took a deep breath. "Okay, I'll answer everything. Odin, Alec, and I are all fine. T-the thing is....Justin is dead. That is why everyone is shouting and running, and that is what's wrong." Jacob closed his eyes. "We don't know who killed him....but they were very messy about it."

Kaida stopped so abruptly the panther cannoned into her from behind. She stared at Jacob. "Great Giants," she whispered. Then she ran to the shop, out-stripping the whole group. The panther stared after her, but stayed put. She was going to go with the slower crowd.
Kaida arrived at the store and shoved her way through the crowd in front. A guard tried to stop her at the entrance, but she pushed him aside. She ran to Justin's side and knelt by him. Blinded by tears, she stared uncomprehendingly at the sword wound going through his body. She pulled him into her arms, rocking as she whispered promises to him. To sell his shop to one who would use it well, not cheating off his customers. To make sure his weapons were used for defense not slaughter. To kill his murderer.

Alec had been trying to get more details from the guard about the murder, but it wasn't easy due to him continually having to calm himself down and the guard's stubbornness to say anything. Suddenly Kaida rushed past them, pushing the guard to the side and into the store. Only now did he realize how hard it must be on her. He decided to give her some alone time with her now late boyfriend and after quickly telling the guard not to take her outside because of her relationship to him, he turned to see if the rest of the group was coming.

Widow saw odins panic, and stoked her little deku's head "relax Odin" she said sweetly "everything will be fine, everything will be fine" she kissed her forehead softly "now do you want a piggy back, or ice-cream or something to help you relax" widow grinned at Odin, trying to distract him from the truth of what had happened.

Jacob opened his eyes and saw Widow comforting Odin. Jacob was thinking about what he should do to comfort Odin when he saw a shop with a sign that said The Content Mask Shop. "Perfect." Jacob muttered to himself.
"C'mon, let's go in that Mask Shop!" Jacob said before dashing in. Jacob would've run straight to the counter, but he was amazed at the variety and number of masks in the store.
There were so many masks that he didn't bother to try to count them all. But a few behind the counter caught Jacob's eye. There was a sign above them that said Special Masks : Only 18 left! There was also smaller signs below each mask, but since Jacob couldn't see what they said, he moved closer.
As Jacob looked at the descriptions, he only found a few interesting such as the All Night Mask, the Stone Mask, and the Mask of Scents, but he came across one that really interested him. It wasn't even a mask, but it was the most interesting one by far to Jacob. It was called the Bunny Hood, and the description said it allowed the wearer to run faster.
"How much for the Bunny Hood, sir?" Jacob asked the blonde young man behind the counter.
"Oh, that old thing? When it first came to the shop, it was fifty rupees, but when the first customer tried it, and it didn't work, nobody bought it, and so its value has gone down over the years. My boss said if anyone asked for it, I could give it away from free, so if you really want it, please, take it." The man replied, holding the Bunny Hood out to Jacob. Before the man could've said his name, Jacob took the Bunny Hood and ran back to the entrance.
"Widow! Odin! Come over here! There are a lot of great masks in this shop!" Jacob yelled to Widow and Odin.

"No!" Odin shouted, tears brimming in his eyes as he took a step away from them. "I don't wanna piggyback ride or a ice creamed or a mask! I wanna go to Justin! I want Justin!" He broke into a sob and curled into a ball on the ground, crying. "He promised!" he stammered out in between hiccups. "He promised he'd teach me how to fight! And you're not s'possed to break your promises! So he can't be dead! He's not and I said so!" He continued to weep, not understanding why Justin wouldn't just wake up and stand already.

Widow knelt down besides Odin, stroking his head and sighed "odin, I'm sorry, you can't chose when you die and I'm sure he would of kept his promise if he could" she took the little deku in her arms "why don't we go home, and do whatever you want to do, ok Odin, your in charge for the rest of the day" widow would of done anything to get Odin to stop crying, she couldn't take it whoever hurt my poor little deku will pay with there life she thought evilly.

Jacob frowned when Odin started crying. Jacob had hoped his plan would work, but it didn't. Depressed that he couldn't cheer Odin up, he put on the Bunny Hood and walked towards Odin and Widow. But when he walked, he was going faster then he intended. Jacob stopped when he noticed this. He also seemed to stop a little bit faster than usual. Awesome. Jacob thought to himself as he walked the rest of the way to Widow and Odin and stood beside them.

After a few minutes, Kaida carried Justin's body to the back yard. She laid it down and pulled up the grass around it, laying it on top. She went back into the shop and stirred the fire. Pulling a lighted stick from the now writhing flames, she walked back to Justin's body and laid the stick on top it. She kissed his lips, then left him to burn.
She left the store and walked back to the others, stone-faced. Her eyes were still red from the tears she had shed, but they smoldered with her anger and grief. She caught up to the others, but she stayed behind them, walking as quietly as she could to avoid alerting them to her presense. She just wanted to be alone with her thoughts at the moment, but not alone in body. She started faintly as the panther pressed against her leg, but made no move to return the gesture.

Odin wiggled and pushed his way out of Widow's arms, falling face first to the ground. Ignoring the scrapes and pain, he hopped to his feet and ran blindly towards the direction of Justin's market. If they weren't going to try to help Justin, he would. "Justin!" he shouted, bumping into several people as he ran, his little arms flailing around and knocking down items from stalls. "I'm coming, Justin!" He turned corner after corner, barging into houses that he thought was the store but was instead met with confused looks. He continued his search until he grew much too tired to walk, much less stand. His legs buckled beneath him and he slumped onto the ground. Why couldn't he find the store? It'd been right there! His tears had run out and dried but inside he felt lost and scared. He looked around him, realizing that he didn't recognize any of the buildings.
