K'ledanan heard a woman calling for her child, and saw a little deku boy running off. He sighed and, in three strides, had caught up to Odin. He scooped him up easily. "Now, now, little one, you shouldn't run off from your mother like that. You could get lost, and then she'd be sad." He carried Odin over to Widow. "Excuse me, miss. As Jacob waited for Odin and Widow to come back, he was deciding if he should take this chance to leave or stay. He did want to protect his "family", but family life wasn't the life for Jacob. Jacob was an adventurer, not a kid who needed other people to help him. Or so he thought.....

A hooded figure stood in an alley not far away from where Jacob was. The man's job was to kidnap boys like Jacob for his master to use as slaves. The hooded man had no doubt Jacob would be an excellent choice, so he had decided to follow Jacob until he was alone. And now was the time to strike.
The man advanced slowly, step by step, towards Jacob. This is will be too easy. The man thought as he neared Jacob. Right when the man's arm could hit its target, the man delievered a blow to Jacob's head. The result was Jacob falling to the ground. "Bingo." The man said as he picked up the unconcious Jacob and walked toward the exit of East Clock Town.Comment

When Odin and Widow had run off, Kaida had stopped and leaned against a wall. She stood there, musing to herself. Most of it involved all the ways she knew to deliever a painful death to Justin's killer. She toyed with tieing the person down and cutting off his fingers and toes, but decided it was too bloody. She tossed burning him as it would be too smelly. She was trying to decide a way to mix the two together when a thunk broke through her considerations. She looked up and was surprised to see Jacob was gone. She glanced around, searching for him.
The panther, seeing her concern, sniffed around a little, then returned to Kaida. She grabbed the bottom of the mercenary's tunic and gave it a tug. Kaida nodded and followed her down an alley, moving at a rapid pace. She soon spotted a man dragging the boy towards the exit. She drew her sword and ran at him, shouting.Phillipians 4:13 - I can do everything through him who gives me strength.

Alec had silently been walking around, slowly making his way back to the group. He was a bit tired from the day, a lot had happened after all. When he got to the place they were supposed to be at, he was surprised to see none of them. He looked around suspiciously, but the only person he could see was Kaida running off into an alley. He shrugged it off and was about to walk in another direction, when he remembered how blood thirsty she had been. Maybe she had found the killer in the alley he thought. He drew his knives and began heading towards the alley, in case she needed help.Comment

It wasn't long before the hooded man heard the shouting. He turned and saw a woman chasing after him with a sword in her hand and a panther at her side. The man sighed and whistled. Immediatley, eight more hooded figures arrived behind the one with Jacob.
"You shall not interfere with the plans of my master Maxwell Kal, your future king!" The man shouted as he walked away in the direction the other eight men had come from. When the first hooded man was out of sight, the other eight men made a line that blocked off the way that the first one left.Comment

Kaida snarled as other men appeared. "I serve no king!" she hissed. "I am my own master." The other man didn't hear her, though. She charged the other men. Her breastplate would protect her from killing blows, and she could protect her head and neck well enough. Odin turned his head away from the man and buried his face in Widow's shoulder, saying nothing. He let himself go limp in Widow's arms, too exhausted to care. His thoughts drifted back to when he and Jacob and Romani had gone into the Lakeside Professor's house. Those were fun times. He wondered if the man would be able to make something that would help him grow faster and be able to make more sense of everything that was happening. Maybe if he was older, he would be able to help out more. Maybe he would've been able to save Justin. Alec stepped into the alley to a most unusual sight. Kaida had launched herself at eight men, and he didn't know why. He didn't care either, he could see that no matter how good she was, anger had blinded her, and she was at risk. He now drew his other knife and charged at the men, making sure not to hit Kaida. He managed to yell her a quick, "What's going on?!"Comment

Kaida twisted around a man's blade and cut off his arm. Before he could scream, she plunged her sword into his chest. She pulled the bloody blade from his body and spun on another man. Dimly, she heard someone shout. So engulfed was she in her rage that it took her a minute to work out the words. She elbowed a man in his face as she called back, "Jacob! He's been taken captive!"
