Tyra smirked. "That would be east. We'll need to fix that if you're coming on my ship. Seeing as we're already on the eastern end, though, where would the markets be from here?"
Before she could continue, though, or Maxwell could answer, a lad came running up to them with a sack, which he promptly dumped on the ground in front of them. She couldn't help recoiling as a bloody head rolled out alongside the apples. Whoever it had belonged to must have been important, if the lad thought he'd be rewarded for bringing news of its owner's death. Maxwell, however, was no so pleased. Apparently, he had been the one to kill the man. Tyra noticed the wolf circle around, noting that he blocked escape if the lad attempted to flee. She was tempted to step in, although whether to calm Maxwell and his wolf or to reinforce the clear threat presented by the two, she didn't know. As such, she simply stoo by, waiting to see what would happen.

Ral froze up at Maxwell's response, bewildered to find out there would be no reward for the head of Edward. At first he couldn't even understand what Maxwell was saying, but soon realized the truth that he had killed Ed himself. And judging from his response, Max must not have felt so great about it. Confidence diminished, Ral took a couple small steps back just to accidentally bump into who he thought was Max's canine companion. The wolf's expression said that he wasn't feeling too playful either. Ral still faced Maxwell, but couldn't really look him in the eyes, staring at the ground instead. He was still struggling to comprehend the whole situation.
"So... nothing?" Ral said, quite disappointed in the turnout of his evening. He had cut off a dead man's head and brought it through town, all for nothing but angering the man he expected would be pleased.

"You're not getting jack****, k-kid." Maxwell said, his drunkenness slowly beginning to wear off as he got upset. "Just leave before I have Shade hurt you. Shade, give him a little n-nibble to show we're not messing.""
Shade acknowledged the order, but gave Ralatar more of a small chomp than a nibble. It wasn't a serious wound by any means, but Ralatar would probably want to go somewhere else to get it patched. The taste of human flesh made Shade hungry, though.
"Maxwell, I am hungry. Can we go hunt soon?" Shade asked Maxwell, hoping he'd be up for it.
"H-hunt? I don't think I can do one in this state, bud. I'll buy you some meat. K-keep in mind, we won't be able to hunt on the boat."
"So maybe we shouldn't go with this girl..."

Tyra shook her head and whacked the back of Maxwell's head. "No need to be mean. Yes, he desecrated a corpse, but he's still a kid. And clearly a poor one at that. All he was hoping for was some money. Ain't that right, Pup?" She tore a strip from the end of her shirt and used it to quickly bind the bite, shooting a quick glare at the wolf. "There are better ways of earning money than trying to collect bounty, lad. Then again, that's part of my job as well." She trailed off, considering. Clearly the boy was on his own, although whether because he ran away or another reason she didn't know. Trying to survive, he apparently had learned some street skills, which might prove valuable to her as well. After all, she couldn't have Felix take all the reconnaissance missions. Maybe it was time to find someone to help him with the task. "Whatcha say to learning how to do it the right way, Pup? Maybe a ship will be better for you than a city."

Ralatar let out a yelp of pain when he felt a jagged set of teeth clamp down on his calf muscle. He whipped around and almost kicked the wolf in the head, but realized how bad of an idea that would be. Without another word, he stepped away and began to leave when the woman slapped Maxwell in the back of the head. He looked back at her with interest when she began to speak. Since she was hanging out with a person who was already Ral's enemy he wasn't sure if he could trust her, but there was still something about the woman he found appealing. "A ship?" Ral asked. The only time he heard that word was when he listened to tales of the Gerudo pirates, and he was brought up to think of them as bad people. "What are you, a pirate?"

Tyra smirked at the wary look the boy gave her. "I'm whatever I want to be," she answered with a wink. "Some days I'm a bounty hunter. Others an escort for merchant ships. Quite often, I'm a pirate, stealing from Rhykim and others that can afford to be taken from." She tousled the boy's hair and glanced at Maxwell, wondering briefly if bringing the two onto the same ship would be wise. Then she shrugged and straightened. Even if they had some problem with each other, she'd keep them from coming to blows. I'm collecting a lot of misfits, she thought, amused.

"What are you talking about?" Ralatar asked the woman. He kind of lost her at her comment about being an escort. He understood the concept of being an ocean bounty hunter and an escort, but he didn't know there were any merchant ships sailing around Termina to escort. But it was the last thing she said that really confused him. "And what is Rhykim?"

Maxwell put a hand on the spot Tyra hit him. To him, it seemed this stranger who decided they were going to fix his life had no respect for him. Maxwell made a mental note to get that changed.
When Maxwell heard Tyra offer Ralatar a spot on her crew, he grumbled. She was just collecting any misfit she found, wasn't she? Did she pity them? This made Maxwell angry, and he wanted to say something, but decided against it.
What Tyra said about her occupation confused Maxwell. Escort for merchant ships? Termina had no merchant ships. Stealing from a guy named Rhykim? Maxwell went through a mental list of the people in power in the surrounding nations, but none of them were named Rhykim. Where was this girl from?
"Rhykim? You must be more drunk than I am, lady." Maxwell said, chuckling a little at the fact he was still drunk. "There isn't anybody or anything around here named Rhykim. Do you come from some place out on the sea, girl? Where mythical creatures reside? Fight any sea monsters? You must be good friends with the Zora."

Tyra threw back her head and laughed, long and loud. No one here had heard of Logata, anymore than the people of Logata knew of Hyrule or the countries on the continent. Naturally they'd never had heard of Rhykim. But no merchant ships? She'd seen their confusion, and it amused her. Her mismatched eyes flashed with delight as she grinned at Maxwell. "Aye, I fought a large fish on the sail here, nearly as large as my White Wolf. Still have some of his remains pickling aboard too, I reckon, lessen my beaver served 'em all." She cocked her head, as if thinking, but the laughter still danced in her eyes as she continued, "I don't know about any mythical creatures. Only beasts I know of, I've seen with me own eyes. Even the Stari's pet cheetahs, although unusual, are no more mythical than you or I. And as for the Zoras, they tend to stay in their rivers and lakes. I've seen very few, but they buy my trinkets and take my gold, same as any race. They just charge and exorbitant price for any deep sea trinkets they find. Wish I had one in my crew, then I'd be able to take up trade as a merchant meself, and grow rich off all the rich fools who'd pay for such trinkets."

Many of the things Tyra said confused Maxwell. If he wasn't intoxicated, he would've been able to ask her about these things. But in this state, it was overwhelming for him. However, he did manage to get a few things out.
"Killing a fish as big as a wolf isn't that much of an accomplishment, miss." Maxwell said with a blank expression. "And don't Zoras live in the sea? Also, Stari sounds like a mythical creature."
Shade sat and watched the conversation. He couldn't understand what they were actually saying, but he could tell by the tone it wasn't an argument, so he didn't need to say anything.

As Tyra spoke she only threw Ral off more, and he wondered if his Clocktown life made him too oblivious to world outside. At least Maxwell was just as confused, though that didn't mean much since he appeared to be drunk out of his mind. "The drunk ******* is right," Ralatar said, a grudge still showing in his tone but keeping his attention to Tyra. "Actually, I think there's a guy down the path here who helps with addiction. Whatever you're using doesn't seem to be very healthy."

Tyra smiled, still finding amusement in this. Why she found it amusing that they thought she was drunk and making it up, she wouldn't know. "Actually, Maxwell, a fish as big as a wolf is a powerful fish, and if you fight it in its own domain, you are doomed to die. The trick is to get it out of the water. However, the wolf I compare the fish to is a large one, much larger than your own." She glanced at Shade, then smirked and turned back to Maxwell. "No, my wolf is much larger than him. My wolf can stay on the sea for many long days, months even, if I ask her. She don't ask for much either, just new timbers when she gets damaged. White Wolf is my ship, laddies, and if you're come aboard my crew, you'd do best to remember."
She interlaced her fingers behind her head, still smirking. "Zora will go into the sea sometimes, retrieve some rare trinkets, but the Logatan Zora prefer their mountain lake. As for the Stari, I suppose you don't have any here in Hyrule. Not that big a surprise, since they were a myth until a few decades ago. Forest people, master hunters. Each one given magical power over the elements, such as water or fire, or skill with a particular talent on a level no one can achieve otherwise. And they all can speak the language of beasts, and are paired with a star cheetah. Oh, I suppose you don't know what that is either. A large yellow cat with black spots shaped as stars, nearly as big as your wolf, with as much ferocity, and speed instead of strength. That is a Stari, little crow," she concluded, grinning at Maxwell with an eyes closed. "Used to be exaggerated until Rhykim came out of hiding, with his Stari generals Nyx and Amaya. Man like him, bringing life to myths and legends simply to take the throne. At least it proved that the Stari are no more myths than you or I. Took all the fun out of it, if you ask me. I enjoyed a good tale of a Stari, like one so cold that he could freeze people with a single touch." She laughed. "Warmed my heart, hearing that one, knowing that no matter how cold the sea spit in dead of winter, I could be colder still, if I met that Stari."

Now Maxwell was really irritated. This person was talking to him as if he was an oblivious child, which emphasized the lack of respect he had been sensing. He stood up, and glared at Tyra.
"Why are you talking to me as if I'm some child? You should respect strangers, even if they're drinking! I know about the **** Stari! I met one, and she was a *****! Just because I say they sound like mythical creatures, doesn't mean I don't know them! You say strange words, like 'Logatan' and 'Rhykim', as if they're supposed to mean something to us! Also, this is Termina, not Hyrule! If you wanted me to come on your **** ship, then you're doing a horrible job of convincing me! And for ****'s sake, MY NAME ISN'T CROW! AND I'M SURE AS HELL NOT LITTLE!"
Maxwell continued to glare at Tyra when he was done shouting. It seemed all the abuse and anger was making him sober.
"Maxwell, are you okay?" Shade asked, surprised at his sudden change of mood.
                            "Shade, stay quiet."

Ralatar listened closely as Tyra described the Stari, cheetahs, Rhykim, and other things he couldn't help seeing as gibberish. Now that she explained in more detail, she didn't seem to be drunk anymore, but Ral figured that either she had an amazing imagination or she was actually telling the truth. Whatever her deal was, she sure did a good job of igniting his interest. "So, you--" Ral was going to ask a question aside from the talk of Logata, but was abruptly cut off by Maxwell. He winced as the man's tone crescendoed into a shout again. He actually made Tyra seem sane by comparison. Once he was done, a calm silence returned to the torchlit plaza they stood in, besides some strange noises exchanged between Maxwell and the wolf. Then Ral noticed two people, boys, approaching them with a packmule in tow.

"Jeez," Corin said when he arrived, having listened to the Terminan man's shouts as he approached the trio. Felix walked behind Corin and was the one stuck holding the mule's ropes. Plenty of sacks containing materials for repairs, cooking and other things were packed atop the mule. They had been lent the mule for a low price, but they didn't plan on actually giving it back, probably just releasing it back at the ship instead. Corin looked over the newcomers, chewing on a long carrot from the market. "These rats are all ye found?" He walked over to his sister, handing over one of two masks he had gotten while in town. He thought the coyote one he had found would be fitting for her. For himself, he had gotten a sparrow mask, knowing it would give his sister a chuckle. "I suppose they'll do as shark bait, though I'm not sure if they'll even like the taste of that one," Corin continued, looking over at the man who appeared to be drunk. "What are ye lad, three sheets to the wind?"

Tyra couldn't help getting more amused at Maxwell's outburst. She didn't think she was talking down to him; after all, they were the ones who'd thought she was making it all up. "I don't recall calling this Hyrule," she started, but stopped when Corin showed up. She grinned at her brother, accepting the mask he offered her. She was amused to discover it was a full face mask shaped like a coyote. She looked up sharply, though, when he spoke to Maxwell. "Sparrow, don't you know who this is? Maxwell Kal, speaker with wolves. Maxwell, this ruffian is my brother, Corin. The one leading the mule is my slave Felix. Ahoy, Beaver, find anything decent for dinner 'sides your usual brew o' ****?" She watched Maxwell from the corner of her eye as she spoke. He felt she didn't show him respect, but she teased everyone on her ship, everyone who was part of her crew. Hence the nicknames by which she called everyone. She wasn't showing disrespect by how she spoke to him, quite the opposite. By the same token, none of the members of her crew would be allowed to show disrespect as long as he held hers.
