She grinned. Just as she'd hoped, he'd picked up on the animals' language. It was imperfect, and his gestures and such seemed off, but it was only his first day. She'd had seven years of practice, and a good portion of that, her only companions had been her partners. So of course he wouldn't have to same precision, the same fluency and comfort as she did. But he was off to a great start. She took her bow back and tucked it back in its sheathe on the quiver before replacing it on her back. She also collected her arrows, careful not to break the shafts. It was easy to remake them, to carve the wood, mold the heads with her fire, and create flights from her own plumage. Still, she'd prefer not to have to go through the trouble. It was much easier to simply reclaim her arrows and wipe any blood off with some moss. "It's unfortunate that you had to kill them. Perhaps next time, Shade, you could warn him about the pack's presence? Then at least he'd know to keep a better eye on what he's aiming at." She frowned at one of her arrows. The red-gold flights had torn. She didn't know why, although she suspected the arrow had been hit during the fight. At least the flights were the only thing that had been damaged and she could replace them once she had the privacy to shift and pluck some feathers. She just wouldn't be able to use that arrow until after she'd repaired it. Returning it to her quiver, she nodded. "I've no reason to remain here. You made your kill, he's had his fill, and you both have already learned a good bit about each other. So yes, let's return. Allons-y!"
