midna: yes I am" widow said picking Odin up "then I won't have to worry about you so much cause I know you can protect yourself" widow carried Odin outside and pulled out a dagger, carefully she handed it to Odin "see that tree over there" she said pointing to a small "I want you try and cut off one of the low hanging branches" widow drew her sword and cut off one of the huger branches "like that"

ShadowJet Jacob followed Widow and Odin outside. When he heard what Widow wanted Odin to do, he grinned. This would be a fun training session.

elliotk "Ha! I can do that!" Odin said with a tough, smug looking grin on his face. He'd show them how tough he could be. Even if he was little. He gripped the dagger with his hand, took a deep breath, then charged forward, screaming his head off and flailing his arms in wide circles to his side. When he got close to the tree, he leaped into the air and swished the knife from side to side. He landed again on the ground and opened his eyes, turning his head to look behind him with a confident smile...
...and saw all the branches still perfectly intact.
"Aw, man!" Odin grumbled, stamping his foot and kicking at the tree in frustration. He looked sadly up at Widow at Jacob. "The tree is so tall...and...I'm so...tiny..." He plopped down onto the ground, hunching over, and hung his head low to the ground. "It's not fair," he mumbled. "How come everyone else gets to be tall 'cept for me?"

(this isnt a post about my hidden resentment I swear D

midna "you may be smaller" widow said "but that just means you will be harder to hit, you need to work on your speed and your jump, if you jump higher you will be able to get the brances and if you move faster it will be less likly to hit you" widow smiled at odid "lets work on speed first" widow moved back a few metres from the tree "run to me and ill time how long it takes you to get here and back to the tree" widow smiled encouraginly a odin

DekuNut Chailyn shrugged, "Sure, but let's be quick about it. We don't want a repeat of last time, do we?"
"You mean when Lance came while us three were gone?" Tenning asked her.
Chailyn nodded, "Yeah. That would've been bad if you guys hadn't showed up."
Tenning shrugged and ran out to tell the others, "Chailyn and I are gonna be gone for a while, all right? She wanted to se the temple!"
elliotk Odin jumped to his feet and got into the crouched runner's stance, his little body shaking side to side in anticipation. He'd do better this time. He squinted his eyes at Widow, trying to gauge the distance between him and her. Then ran as fast as he could, his legs pumping back and forth in rapid succession and his arms bouncing up and down like a bird about to take flight. He was only a few more feet away from Widow when he tripped over an upturned branch and went tumbling across the ground. He rolled until he crashed into the tree. He rubbed his dizzy head with his grass-stained hands and busted into tears. "I can't do it!" he shouted, angry at himself for messing up his second chance but more angry at the stupid root that trip him.

midna Widow walked over to Odin and hugged him "you can do it" she said "you think I got as good as I am on my first try, hell no, now when your ready get up and try again" widow walked back over to where she was before and waited for Odin to try again.

elliotk "But you're good at everything," Odin said, sniffling a little at wiping his arms across his eyes. In his eyes, she and Alec and all his other strong fighting friends were perfect. It was just him that was ruining the group. Like always. "I don't want to do this anymore!" he shouted, opting to back out before he failed even more. He stood up and hurled the dagger at the tree as far as he could.
Effectively knocking an apple out of the tree.
Odin gasped and ran towards the apple. The dagger was still lodged deeply inside it, and he had to give it a big tug in order to pry it loose, causing the apple to split. He held the apple halves up towards Widow and grinned. "Look, Widow! Look what I did!"

midna "great job Odin" widow smiled at him "now listen I didn't become good over night, when I was little I was way worse then you, I actually somehow managed to knock down a guard tower with a dagger, a dagger, I didn't do it on purpose and the target was no where near it, so don't worry if it takes practice you will get it eventually" widow picked up odin "now I think my favorite little deku deserves a treat, what do you feel like"

jborgon Alec, who had been watching from the side the whole time smiled at Odin's accomplishment. All that potential and he didn't even know he could one day become the world's greatest fighter. When Widow told him about a treat he smiled and turned to the house and sighed, he was really disturbed, how had Lance found them so easily? His visit had really come as a wake up call to him making him aware to the world outside their home. He knew one thing now, his children's protection came first, and he needed Odin to be ready to defend himself in a moment's notice, which meant there was no time for treats. He turned back to Widow and Odin and walked over to them. He took Odin from Widow's arms, "Actually, I'd like Odin to accompany for a while, you know, just so we can have a nice talk, Widow. And I want to see if I can help with his practice." He looked back towards Jacob, "You can come if you want, but I know you already know how to fight, so it might be a little boring for you." He then turned back to Widow, "I'll make sure he's safe, don't worry, you should really stay here, and we're going to have a blast right big guy?" He then leaned in a bit to Widow and whispered so only she could hear, "Stay in case he comes back, keep the others safe." With that he pulled back and smiled to see what any of them said.

midna Widow nodded "Odin go with Alec" she said before walking back in the house, widow knew lance would be back. she also knew he had no intention on hurting the others, only her. Widow knew what she would do once the lance came Back. Widow would make the most of her time left.

elliotk "Blast?" Odin gasped, squirming around in Alec's arms to face him with an excited smile on his face. "You mean you're gonna teach me how to use a bomb?" He squealed his excitement and clapped his hands. "This is gonna be a really fun training! Wow, I didn't even know you had bombs, Alec!" His father figure just got that much cooler to him.

ShadowJet Jacob wanted to tell Odin that Alec didn't have bombs and that it was an expression, but he couldn't bring himself to say it. Not now, little buddy, but maybe sometime in the future. Jacob looked and Alec and asked, "Well? Are you gonna answer his question?"

elliotk "Yeah, come on, Alec! Let's go! I can't wait to blow stuff up! Like buildings! Can we blow up buildings? And then when we do that can we bring back some of the 'asploded blocks so I can play with them and build really really tall towers? I've always wanted some blocks to play with!" He waited eagerly for Alec's response, his eyes shining in anticipation.

jborgon Alec smiled, it pained him to have to shatter Odin's hopes but he wasn't going to lie to him, "Well little guy, that's not exactly what I meant, but maybe another day we will 'kay?" He smiled warmly at him and hoped he understood. Still, he took mental note to get bombs just for Odin.

elliotk "Oh..." Odin said, feeling his shoulders droop a little. Nevertheless, the Deku put on a smile and patted Alec on the side of his face. "Well, that's okay," he said. "You're still my favorite daddy. Forever and ever." He snuggled against Alec's arms, resting his head on the nook of Alec's elbow. "But if we're not gonna blow stuff up, what are we going to do?"

ShadowJet Jacob grinned and looked Odin in the eyes. "Remember how I met you, Odin? You had said that you wanted to be just like me. Well....it's about time we get started, right?" Jacob asked. I might have intended just to watch at the start, but looks like I've changed my mind!

elliotk "Yeah! I remember!" Odin said, his eyes lighting up again. "Does this mean you're gonna train me now too? Boy, with you and Alec and Widow as my trainer I'm gonna be the best fighter ever! But..." He paused for a moment, considering something. "I'm gonna need a really good weapon first, aren't I? My very own weapon and not just something I borrowed. Can we go to the store first and see if I can get something? Then I can test it out on you guys! Please please pretty please?" He looked over at Alec with big pleading eyes, ready to beg if necessary.

jborgon Alec smiled, "Sure, Odin, let's go get you a weapon." He also smiled at Jacob and moved his head in a motion signaling him to come with them, since now Odin was excited about him training him as well. "Do you have any idea what you want?" Alec asked Odin, smiling kindly as they began making their way back to Clock Town.

elliotk Odin shrugged his shoulders. He hadn't actually thought of a specific kind of weapon. All he knew was that he just wanted something that was cool looking and tough. Something that would make him fight good and be a good helper. "I dunno," he said while absent-mindlessly playing with the leaves on his head. "I guess I'll see when we get there. But you gotta make sure I get a good one and not a bad one, okay? I dunno how to buy stuff."

(Odin, Alec and Jacob advance to Clock Town Market)

Followed by a return post to DP from me, in which Tenning and Chailyn return to DP.

Widow was bored, there really was no other word for it. She decided to go outside and walk around for a while. She was wondering when lance would show up, and what he would do when he did as long as Odin, Jacob and Alec arnt there she thought everything will be ok, my death isn't worth as much as there lives.

Tenning let go of Chailyn's hand and walked over to Widow, "You all right?" he asked, "And where are the others? I'd think that they'd still be here with you."

Widow turned to smile at tenning "they went shopping or something" widow said "and with the way I'm feeling right now I'm glad they aren't here" widow turned her head looking into the distance "I'm wondering when lance will return, and I'm hoping it's before Alec and the others return"

Tenning hugged Chailyn, "Let's go do something," he suggested, "What do you want to do?" he smiled at her. Who'd think that he'd fall for a zora? Yet he had... and a good one at that. The best.

"Who could live in a place like this?" Three Dekus grumbled amongst their selves over the wintery cold climate. The tallest one led the trek through the snow, carrying with him a thick, finely carved wooden shield nearly half his size. It looked like it would be much too big and heavy for him to carry, but he swung it around like it was nothing. The medium sized Deku carried a spear in each hand and was currently dragging it along with him in the snow. It left a long trail mark. The others had chastised him for leaving behind tracks but he'd insisted that it would be useful for when they were to head back to the palace. The smallest and portly of the three had made himself comfortable on the second Deku's shoulder and he held nothing with him.
"Let's just hurry and find the kid," he grumbled. "I can feel myself slowly freezing."
"Maybe we should split up?" the second one suggested to the first. The tall one shook his head and picked up the pace.
"Remember what our Lady said. We fight better together as a trio." The second one continued to grumble but said nothing more. Light snow started to fall, causing them to wonder if a blizzard was going to come upon them.
The thought alone made them move faster.

Tenning heard noises from outside. He walked over by the door and waited. Good position whether it be friend or foe.

"We've been searching for hours and we still haven't found anything or anyone in this barren place of a wasteland!" The small Deku hopped off of the shoulders of the middle-sized one and started walking at the front. "I say let me lead. You obviously don't know where you're going." The tallest one glared down at him and scowled.
"I do so know where I'm going!" he insisted.
"Yeah," snickered the second. "In circles."
"You shut up!" the first one shouted.
"Why don't you make me? If you can even find your way to me." The tall one lunged at him and began to wrestle, slapping each other across the face and attempting to stuff a handful of snow down each other's throats. Not wanting to be left out of the action, the small one jumped into the fray and started pummeling them with his tiny fists. They rolled down a hill, faster and faster, but paid no attention to where they were heading, too absorbed in their quarreling. Eventually they crashed right into a house and a pile of snow.

Tenning opened the door, "What the heck is happening out here?" he called, then spied the Dekus, "Who are you and why are you here?" They might be looking for Odin... but he wasn't here. He remained defensive.

As soon as Tenning opened the door, the three Dekus immediately stopped their bickering, freezing mid-punch. Then they quickly jumped into position, the tallest one at the front, the middle-sized one behind him to the right and the smallest also behind him but to the left. The three of them called out their names in order.
"Siegward!"
"Aelfare!"
"And Pip!"
"Here by order of the esteemed Deku Lilly!" they said in perfect union. "And by her order, we are to find and retrieve the Deku known as Odin. Young man, have you seen a Deku by that name around here?"

"Odin? Cute guy. What do you want with him?" Tenning asked, "I'm not putting him into any trouble, so tell me your buisness. Then I'll talk."
