    Break Away

    ***Drake, Malina, and Zylan the horse come in from Waning Hostilities.***

    As Zylan slowed from a gallop to a walk, Drake hopped off the horse and looked around. Termina Field reminded him of Hyrule Field, but it was smaller. And it seemed focused around the town in the middle of it, which wasn't looking so good.

    "So this is Termina, huh?" Drake said, walking alongside Zylan. "Seems pretty nice, except for that town and that camp we passed by. They're both kind of eyesores. The camp didn't look too nice, and the town has obviously been attacked." Drake noticed that he was beginning to ramble a bit, and focused. "So, anyways, should we go inside that town and get supplies? We could use them. I don't really care, so it's up to you, Malina." Drake said, looking up at her and trying to make eye contact.

    Malina shrugged. She was feeling tired and drained from the journey, brief as it was, and wanted a chance to rest. She'd been glad they'd avoided that camp, not liking the way it looked, but the town wasn't in good shape either. "What about your brother?" she asked. "You mentioned he lived in Termina, maybe we can see him?"

      Drake paused to think about this. It was the reason why he wanted to come here, but now he didn't know the odds of actually finding his brother.

      "Well, you see, the thing is, I don't know where he lives, if he even is here in the first place. It just seems like he would go here. I guess the town would be a good place to look, but..." Drake paused again, thinking. "Oh, I know! My dad said that the family friend of ours that lived here lived in the southern part of Termina, so we could go wherever that is....if we can figure out where that is from here."

        Malina eased off Zylan and patted the horse's shoulder. "Termina's not a large country. If he said the southern part, that doesn't leave much to go off of, but not much to search either. We could try just looking for them. Unless you know the family name? We could try asking for them in that town."

          Drake thought for a little, but shook his head. "No, I don't remember the family name. I think it started with a K, but I'm not sure. Maybe we can find a map of Termina in the town, and find out where the south part is, and try to find the family's mansion."

          ***Jacob arrives from Break Away***

          Jacob slowed down to a walk as he got close to the people he had seen in the distance. From here, he could see that the person walking beside the horse was a young man, and the person riding the horse was a girl. Jacob wondered if they were a couple, and his thoughts went to Alec and Widow. These two were about the same age Alec and Widow had been. Maybe they'd be as nice to him as Alec and Widow had been.

          "Hey, mister!" Jacob said, getting Drake's attention. "How's your day been, stranger?"

          Drake looked at the boy who was following him and Malina. He was about half Drake's height, and looked like he a few years away from ****rty. What was a little boy like him doing outside alone?

          "My day's been fantastic. Now, I don't mean to be rude here, but what are you doing out here alone? Where are your parents?"

          Jacob frowned. Of course he would ask why he was out here alone. Of course he would ask about his parents.

          "I haven't seen my parents in a while. They weren't even my real parents. They told me! I've been by myself for a while. I did stay at the camp back there for a while, near the entrance to Ikana, but it was kind of boring, so I left. Now I'm looking for new people to travel with! I love traveling. It's so fun! Will you guys take me?"

          Drake was simply stunned by the kid. He just didn't know what to think. Drake looked to Malina for help, because he had no idea what to say.

            Malina blinked in surprise as a little boy approached them, apparently wanting to travel with them. And told them his whole life story. Really didn't have any shyness problems, that's for sure. She rubbed Zylan's shoulder again, then moved squatted down in front of the boy. "Love travelling, huh? Sounds more like you ran away. You know what? I ran away too. We can be run-aways together." She grinned, then glanced up at Drake. "If you don't mind, of course," she added with a teasing tone.

              Drake became a little red. He just didn't really understand what was happening.

              Looks like I'm stuck with this kid now. Oh boy. Maybe I'll figure him out. Maybe.

              "Uh..sure. Yeah. I'm fine with that."

              "Cool! My name's Jacob, by the way." Jacob said. "What are yours?"

              "Drake and Malina."

              "So you're Malina, right?"

              "Wha-? No, I'm Drake, she's Malina!"

              "I knew that, silly! I was joking."

              Drake frowned. He was having a hard time keeping up with Jacob. And it was embarrassing, seeing as the kid was 9 or 10, and he was 18.

              "Alright, well, let's get going and enter the town." Drake said, wanting to move on.

              "That's Clock Town. It's a small town, but whatever is you're looking for, you'll find it there!"

                *Malina, Jacob, and Drake arrive from The Mansion*

                "Well, now what?" Malina asked Drake. She was feeling tired and a little short-tempered, but she attempted to keep it under control. There was no point in snapping at him; it wasn't his fault that Edward wasn't with Maxwell. It just meant they'd have to find elsewhere to spend the night.


                (crappy post, but it's been a good while since I pulled on this face. Let's get these guys going again.)

                  "I...don't know." Drake said, genuinely stumped. "If Edward wasn't there, then I doubt we can actually find him." Drake sighed, becoming sad. Jacob noticed this, and stood next to him.
                  "Hey, don't worry about him." Jacob said, trying to comfort Drake. "If he's your big brother, he can probably take care of himself. I bet he's big and strong, and really good with a sword!"
                  Drake smiled a little and looked at Jacob. He seemed so full energy like any ordinary kid, not troubled by anything, but Drake also got a weird vibe that Jacob was mature for his age...even if it didn't seem like it right now.
                  "I think I know what we can do." Jacob said, dropping his excitement for a more serious tone. "We could make camp outside Clock Town, or we can go to this nice place called Stock Pot Inn, which if I remember correctly, doesn't charge much for staying the night."

                    Malina patted Drake's arm, understanding some of his frustration and disappointment. "Let's find somewhere to sleep for the night and figure out what to do in the morning. I honestly wouldn't mind sleeping on a bed, it's been a while and I'm a little stiff from sleeping out so much." She smiled gently, then turned to Jacob. "Why don't you lead the way, Jacob?" She took Zylan's reins, ready to lead him after the boy.

                      Jacob chuckled. "No, I was thinking you could lead the way, princess." Jacob said using a light-hearted sarcastic tone. "Alright, just follow me!"
                      Drake laughed a little. It was a bit weird to hear a kid of Jacob's age talk like that, but Drake didn't mind it. It was actually kind of relaxing.
                      "Lead the way, fearless leader!"
