Kaida looked over to see a man approach. He challenged her and Alec, but the stuck-up tone and over-confident manner almost made her dismiss it. She was, after all, more of a knife-in-the-back kind of person. But then he introduced himself. She blinked with surprise, then gnashed her teeth at him. "Future king? You think that Termina will bow to you!? A bragger like you will find no friend among the common folk, and your commanding demeanor will gain you no allies with the people in the dark corners."

Max smirked. He thought the girl had some nerve trying to insult him. And then he realized he didn't know what they were here for.
"Wait wait wait, hold up." Maxwell said, moving his sword from an offensive position to a defensive postion. "What are you even here for? Are you here for food? Are you here to ask for directions? I don't want to have to waste time fighting over something dumb."Comment

"You're trying to take over Termina, you idiot, you crossed the 'fight over something dumb' line way back," Alec almost hissed. He sighed and brushed some hair out of his eyes before continuing. "Look, Max, I honestly don't have enough words in me to tell you how much I don't care about what you do to this place. But, you have my son, and you're going to let him go one way or another." The last words to this came out much colder than Alec had intended, but he didn't care.Comment

yuki peeked out of the hatch, glad that Maxwell was comfrounting them and not her. well at least If maxwell is there I don't have to worry too much about being attacked, I could take one of them she thought. yuki shrugged and jumped out of the hatch, then jumped into a tree and sat on the branch "you know, I think he had more then one son" yuki said grinning "and then there was that pirate girl, be a shame if anything happened to them, don't you think" she laughed.sigpicI want to say a big thank you to zeke for making me the picture for my birthday.

"Okay, enough talk!" Maxwell said, getting irritated. "If you want to kill me so bad, just go on and try already! Its like you're purposely spending more time being unhappy and not doing what you want to do." Maxwell continued, returning to an offensive stance. "I was just trying to have some fun, cracking jokes before I kill you, but noooo! You just have to be the most stone serious people I've ever met." Maxwell looked at Yuki. "Yuki, you can either go off to harm his other son or help me fight. I don't mind either way." After saying that, Maxwell looked back at Alec and Kaida and nodded. Kaida role her eyes at the imputence of the man before her. She didn't care if they fought or not, she was just here to get Jacob back. And even if they fought, she wouldn't kill unless there was no other choice, as always. Unless he was the one who killed Justin. She looked at his blade, trying to determine if it was like the mark left in Justin's body. As far as she could guess, it didn't match, but it was difficult to tell. Sighing with frustration, she drew Flame and pointed it at the would-be monarch. "I honestly couldn't care less if you tried to take over Terminal, as you will be in a serious fight to secure it. Right now all I care about is getting Jacob back. Alec completely ignored Max's statement, not taking kindly to his attitude. He looked up at the girl from before. He was beginning to hate her. "Like you could touch them. You couldn't even take on us, how do you think you will fare in a battle with the leader of the pirates? I think you'd be better off somewhere deep down and alone. This guy's kitchen would probably do, I mean, you two complement each others crazy just fine." He looked back at Max apparently not looking at the girl anymore. However, quite quietly and unnoticeably, he moved one of his hands, the one Yuki couldn't see, to one of his knives.Comment

"well of corse I couldn't take you, I was already wounded you idiot.... actually I probably still am" yuki shrugged "but hey ignore the little fact that I'm not at my full strength if it makes you feel better" she laughed "I'll stay maxwell, these two aren't weak, stupid maybe but not weak" she rolled her arms and legs, trying to loosen the muscles in her body "god I hate feeling weak, but I have enough engery for this" she grabbed her bow from behind her back and aimed it at the boy, quickly shooting an arrow at him.sigpicI want to say a big thank you to zeke for making me the picture for my birthday.

Alec had to move as fast as he could to take a step back and bring the knife around his waist in time to deflect the arrow with the flat of its blade. "You're fast, I'll give you that," he began, "but you see, not only am I faster, but I think you're all fluff and no consistency. I pity you, really, I do. To have to be forced all your life to act up to shoes too big for you; to try to pretend you're everything you're not; it really is sad. I've met people like you before, they always had fun with the act. The thing is that it's just an act." He smiled at Yuki, glanced back at Max, then returned his eyes to Yuki. "Besides, you being injured is not a reason why you couldn't best us, it's an excuse. The way I see it, you were at your full health when you got injured. So someone got their kicks out of you. In my eyes, that makes you a whole lot of...fluff." He smiled patronizingly at her and turned back to Max, walking the steps he had walked in Yuki's direction during his speech back to stand next to Kaida once more.Comment

yuki growled "I was taken by surprise" she said,repeatedly firing arrows at the boy "besides, do you really believe I would run if I didn't have the choice, of course not. there is nothing I like more then a good fight, even if it isn't in my favor. Alec sighed in frustration as he repeatedly jumped and dodged the arrows. One managed to graze his leg, making a small rip in his pants. When the arrows stopped, so did he. He stood in silence for a second before adding. "Taken by surprise or not, it was weak. However, I do not care for you or how you fare, and I did not come here to talk with you. So now if you'll stop this petty attempts at hitting me, I will deal with the man I actually came to see," he finished, opening his eyes. As he turned back to Max, his arm twisted around his side, slightly turning his wrist forward. The knife left his fingers and with the momentum given to it by the movement, headed at high speed in Yuki's direction, going straight for he heart.Comment

Kaida watched Alec and Yuki with a mixture of amusement and disgust. Amusement because, hey, it was a good fight, with all their smack-talking and narrow misses. Disgust because they had a job to do. She turned to Max and shook her head. "And most people think the bounty hunter would be the first to attack. While everyone was distracted, Jacob was making his escape. He had heard Alec's and Kaida's voices outside, but he didn't hear Odin and Widow. Because of this, Jacob was in the actual mansion looking for a window. After about five minutes, Jacob found a window. "I'm outta here!" Jacob said, quickly braking the window and crawling out of it. When he landed, he looked around and randomly ran off to his left.

Alec didn't look at Yuki, disgusted by her proposal. He hated murderers, robbers, kidnappers, chauvinists, arrogants, and terrorists. But, most of all, he hated people who did wrongly to others and tried to cover it up with "it's for a greater good!" and "we're the good guys!"
"If you want equality, why are you killing people to get it? Where is the fairness in killing someone who may have not had anything to do with your cause? What's so hard about trying to attain a goal peacefully?" He grunted all these words to himself in a low growl, although he was sure Maxwell and Kaida could hear him. Then he added in a louder voice, "So, are you going to let us through to my boy, or will we have to settle matters in a more brusque way?"Comment
