    Before Max could respond, a soldier came out from the stump Max had come from.
    "Sir! The child is gone!" The soldier half yelled. Max turned around, confused. He escaped....?
    "Search the perimeter and seal off all entrances! He may still be in there!" Max responded.
    "But sir, we've already checked. The child is no where to be found in the house."

      Kaida whirled on the soldier, grabbing him by the collar. "Where was he being held?" she snarled. She knew it was now a race to find Jacob. If she knew where he had been held, she might be able to figure how he had left and would be able to follow his trail. Zarola, who had been sitting near-by, stood. She guessed that her skills as a hunter might be needed as well.

        yuki sighed, getting bored "let them go Maxwell" she said "they have no need to be here now and we have no need to fight them" yuki jumped down from the tree she was in, collecting the arrows she had lost while shooting at Alec "your good, I must admit..... now, while I was in the tree I saw something very interesting, I just didn't care much to say it.... I honestly didn't understand why maxwell captured that boy anyway..... he was heading towards the swamp..... not long before that I saw a girl and a tiny deku going the same direction..... however there were three deku with them, I could easily recognize that little deku and the girl, I bet you can guess who they are" yuki grabbed out one of her many daggers and started tossing it up into the air and catching it "seemed like they were in trouble to, so two choices, continue the pointless fight with us, or go after them...... either way it's a plus for us, you do realize that right" yuki smiled sweetly at Alec, but on her face it just made her look creepier.

          "Let go of my soldier, please." Max asked Kaida, trying to sound polite. "Yuki has just stated that she saw the boy run towards the swamp. If you leave now, you might be able to catch up with him. Or, you can risk finding him by checking my mansion. It IS your choice, after all." But I'd rather you just leave. Max silently added in his thoughts.

            Alec sighed softly. He wasn't sure if this recent turn of events was for better or for worse. Nevertheless, he knew checking the mansion would be useless, so they might as well follow their lead to the swamp. He walked over to the tree where Yuki had been as he spoke. "Very well, we'll go to the swamp and let you be for now," he began. He then jumped up and grabbed the lowest branch, pulling himself up and climbing up till he reached the place Yuki had been. He pulled his knife from the bark where it had stuck and jumped down one branch before jumping back to the floor and falling with a thud. "However," he continued, "if we find out that you have lied to us and that he is still being held somewhere around here..." He began getting closer and closer to Maxwell. "I will personally make sure your blood spills onto this earth with your guts sipping through your mouth and your muscles twist in on themselves, while still keeping you on the verge of life so that you can watch as your loyal soldiers burn alive trapped inside your mansion." By then he was standing right in front of Maxwell, the other man's nose only a couple inches away. He whispered, "So you hope you're telling the truth, for your sake." Then he retreated to stand next to Kaida, waiting for her to say any last remark she wanted to.

              Kaida rolled her eyes at the threat, then shoved the soldier away. She took a little satisfaction when he stumbled, but she was too distracted to really care. "Let's go, Alec. Whether he's telling the truth or not, I suspect he's going to lose a finger at least just for kidnapping Jacob." She turned away from the others and started down the path to the swamp, Zarola at her heels.

                Donovan marched down the path to leave Woodfall, wearing his Bremen Mask and leading a bunch of animals playing a happy melody on his harp. Two monkeys, a bunch of frogs, a deku scrub and an owl. He was so deep in the music that he wasn't looking and bumped into something. Someone. Realizing his eyes were closed, Donovan opened them and saw a girl.
                "Oh, sorry." Donovan gasped. "I don't usually see many people coming down this way." At the stop of the music, the animals fled in different directions, so Donovan took off his mask.

                  Kaida had been so focused on her feet that she didn't see someone else was on the path. She bumped into him and jumped back, reflexively reaching for her sword. She glared at the man, but forced herself to calm down when he apologized. "I apologize, I should have been watching where I was going. Excuse me, I need to get into Woodfall." She started to side-step him.

                    "Wait, what are you looking for in there?" Donovan watched Kaida. "If you don't mind, I would be happy to tag along... There isn't anything new to do out here if you've been hanging around in the wilderness of Termina as long as I have."

                      Kaida sighed. "I'm looking for a boy, about nine years old, who ran in there a few minutes ago." She patted Zarola's head as the leopard pressed against her leg. "Sure, you can come with us. It might be a good idea to have someone who knows the place."

                          Kaida took the hand and gave it a squeeze. "Kaida, the Dragon. This is Zarola." The panther took a pace down the path, then looked back at Kaida. The woman nodded, and Zarola started forward. Kaida followed. "Donovan, hmmm? Dark warrior, right?" She looked him up and down. "If you're a warrior, you've got a slighter build than some do. And you dress darkly. So I guess it makes sense." One of Kaida's most hidden quirks, she liked names and their meanings. Hers meant "Little Dragon".

                            "As interesting as names are, I believe we still have something to do," said Alec. He wasn't trying to seem rude to the newcomer, but he really wanted to get to Jacob. "Shall we?" he told the new guy, waving his hand in front of him to make him start walking. Then he followed after Kaida himself.

                                "Yep, Dark warrior is right," Donovan said to Kaida. "Uhm yeah, we better get going..." He walked beside Kaida, back into the swampy woods he was just leaving.
