The three Dekus stood mouth agape, struggling to comprehend what their eyes were telling them. Lilly was the first to attempt to speak. "But...that's...impossible...no such thing..."
"Business I can handle, but this? No sir. Leave me out of it." The Deku who'd just minutes before had been offering the couple a large sum of money immediately took to the skies and flew out in a hurry. This seemed to snap Lilly back into attention.
"Wait! You can't go! We're not finished here!" She suddenly pushed Kota violently forward and shouted, "Do something! Fix this! Fix all of it!" Kota could only continue to stare in shock, unable to even scream.
Odin, however, didn't seem to share that problem at all.
The little Deku ran over to Jacob and started pounding on his legs. "No! You're not my Jacob! Give me back my Jacob! Give him back! Give him back!" He continued to kick, scratch and scream while howling and in tears.

Benjamin/Jacob picked Odin up and looked at him. "Child, you must understand. I am Jacob's great great great grandfather, and I have assumed control of his body so I can bring him back. However, if you keep this behavior up, I might decide to not bring him back." After this, Benjamin/Jacob almost put Odin down when he noticed Lilly was distracted. Might as well do Jacob a favor and get his friend out of here like he wanted. Benjamin decided before running towards where he hoped was the exit of Deku Palace with Odin now on his back.

Odin glared, reared back, and gave Benjacob the hardest punch he could to the face. "I want my Jacob now!" Then he broke into a louder fit of sobs. Unfortunately, his cries attracted the attention of several of the guards down the hallway.
"Hey, there he is!" one of them shouted, pointing at him. They quickly gave chase, deadly weapons in hand. While they ran, the leader shouted, "Raise the drawbridge! Do everything in your power to not let them escape!" The person manning the gate heard the shouting and immediately began to crank the chains that lifted the door to the gate in order to seal the exit.

"Child, patience is a very good virtue your Jacob would appreciate you having right now as I try to get us out of here." Benjamin muttered as he ran towards the rising drawbridge. For a moment, it looked like they weren't going to make it, but all the sudden, it seemed Benjamin received a burst of speed that helped him. As he soared through the air after jumping off the drawbridge, he braced for landing, for it seemed he was a ways off the ground. When he landed, he managed not to break any limbs, but the impact still hurt. "Ow." Benjamin barely whispered as he tried to get up. "You better be glad you are me, kid." Benjamin told the angry Odin on his back. "Also, that speed boost at the end wasn't me. It was probably from some of the relatives back up in the Land of the Dead."

When the guards began raising the door then he was sure something was up. Without thinking he drew his knives and began running towards the gate. When Benjacob(go silv!) came out the door carrying Odin he was at the first platform. He almost got a heart-attack. "Odin? What are you doing...Jacob!" He continued running towards the boys, unaware of the angry guards behind them or the fact that Jacob didn't look good.

Benjamin looked at Alec. "Do me a favor and take this child away from me while I try to find some way to get my grandson back in this body." Benjamin told Alec as he took Odin off his back and pushed him towards Alec. Ben quickly looked behind him and back at Alec. "I will send Jacob back to Clocktown after I revive him. Do you understand?"

Donovan stopped as his male follower rushed past. "Wow. That was easier than I'd expected." Donovan looked back at Kaida while the boy talked with his friends. "Well, what do we do now?" He wondered. Would he continue following this group of adventurers or go back to his Wild Boy days he's lived so many years? He'd just have to let time do it's thing.

Kaida shrugged in answer to the question. "I suppose we figure out if that Maxwell is really a threat. If not, it's on to the next mission for me." She wondered what would happen. After all, her life was always a turmoil, never knowing what would happen with ever passing moment. She had made several enemies in her life through her jobs, so she often had to look behind her back for someone's knife. Kaida shrugged off the thoughts and moved to Alec and Jacob. She heard the boy ask Alec to take Odin and beat him to it, grabbing the young Deku and pretending to have been worried about him. She might not be much for children, but she hoped doing so would distract Odin long enough for Alec to figure out why Jacob seemed to be acting differently.

Donovan stood in the grass beside the Deku Palace's walls and watched the others, thinking about what Kaida had said. If she had more things to do, or missions as she had said, Donovan might have a chance at moving forwards in his goal of going to Hyrule if he stuck with her. He figured that if he ventured Termina with the girl, he may be able to rack up the rupees he needed to get a horse from Romani Ranch. Stealing it was always another thought he had, but then again he didn't want to get on the Ranch girls' bad sides. He decided to ask if he could help Kaida on whatever she had to do and maybe make some money over time, wether it be a few weeks or few years. Who he would get the rupees from, he had no idea. But he just sensed it, in his future. He knew that sometimes you had to take action, quickly, to get something. But this, he knew, would need time. Besides, he would be happy to leave his Lone Wolf life in Termina and join a pack. "I can help if you need me for anything," He told Kaida. But, there was always the possibility that she preferred independence. Donovan hoped that wasn't the case. Another subject itched his head though, this Maxwell guy. Donovan figured he would better off not to get to deep in her business. Throughout his life, he got on people's good sides as much as possible and he might need them to move him forward to meeting the Sheikah who had raised him in Hyrule. If the girl didn't need his help, he might be losing chances of making it over the Ikana fence.

Alec let Kaida take Odin away as he stared at Jacob. The change in the boy was...remarkable. "I..." he stuttered. It was hard to get words out when trying to let everything sink in. Revive him? Had Jacob died? He closed his eyes. "Who are you?" he manage to get out. "What happened to Jacob?" He knew it looked like the guy was in a hurry to get away, but he needed to know.

Bejamin sighed. "To explain who I am would be a very long story, but I can tell you what happened." Benjamin said, hoping Alec wouldn't continue the subject of who he was.. "So, Jacob was having a confrontation with the child's parents when he tore up this paper that seemed to be important. Before he could say anything else, the mother stabbed Jacob in the heart with a dagger. I can't really explain to you why I took over his body, but when I did, the child's mother got distracted, so I took the child and ran." Ben looked around and saw the drawbridge lowering. "Now, I suggest that you get out of here before the drawbridge lowers. Expect for Jacob to be alive and well in Clocktown tommorow." Right as Ben said tommorow, he ran off towards where he hoped the nearest fairy fountain was.

Alec's mouth was gaping. He watched after Jacob as he ran. What he had just told him was hard to believe. Jacob was dead? Or... He couldn't even begin to think of the possibilities. He closed his eyes and tried breathing deeply. It helped a little. When he opened his eyes again he realized something. Odin couldn't have come alone. He turned back to Kaida to see her with Odin. He didn't have that much time left to think, the drawbridge was beginning to lower. He decided it would be best to leave whatever was in Jacob be, after all he had no idea what or who it was and it looked like the being had good intentions concerning Jacob. He only took one more breath before yelling, "Take Odin and go! I think Widow is still in there, so I'm going for her. From what I've heard, Odin isn't safe here, so please take him. I'll find you later!" With that he turned to the half-lowered drawbridge and grasped his knives tightly.

Odin struggled in Kaida’s arms, alternating between shouting and pleading with her to let him go. “Let me go! I want to go with Alec and Widow and Jacob too! They’re my family!” Tears streamed from his eyes. He felt so frustrated that he kept getting restricted from what he wanted to do. He was frustrated with everyone treating him like a baby. Well, he’d show them.
He chomped down on Kaida’s arm.

The Dekus spotted Alec running towards the drawbridge and knew they had to do something fast. “Switch tactics!” the leader shouted, tossing away his spear and taking out another weapon. “Attack from afar!” The other guards immediately followed suit, pulling out similar weapons. “Ready…” All of them notched an arrow into their bow. “Aim…” They pulled on the string. “Fire!” From within the palace flew a volley of arrows.

When Alec saw the volley his eyes widened. It took him only a second to roll out of the way and to the cover of the wall, but it was a second too late. He felt an arrow graze his arm, ripping his shirt. Suddenly a blinding pain came from his leg. However, as he tried to breathe, the pain went away and he thought it was OK now. Except...
...there was an arrow sticking out of his shin. He bit his lip to stop himself from howling in pain. He slid down to the floor and tried to think of what to do. He knew pulling it out would most likely make him bleed out, so that wasn't an option. He didn't have time to worry now, so he had no other choice. First he took the half sticking out on top and broke off the stick. Then he grabbed the point of the arrow and took a deep breath. With all his strength, he pulled.
He was in so much pain he couldn't yell, but his vision became blurry for a second. Once it stopped, he looked down. As he had expected blood was beginning to gush from the wound. Quickly he took one of his knives and cut out a part from his shirt which was already sweaty and bloody. He tied it tightly on the wound, much to his displeasure. That done he stood up and almost fell back down. After steadying himself he realized it took a second but the pain receded. He hoped it was the adrenaline.
The arrows had stopped, so without further ado he twirled back to the entrance with a couple of stumbles due to the lef. Using the momentum of the twirl he threw one of his knives with as much strength and precision as he could muster. It flew towards the Deku who had given the order of shooting arrows. A tiny smile teased Alec's mouth.

Kaida muttered under her breathe as she tried to keep a hold of the wriggling Deku. She was starting to lose her patience when she felt Odin bite her. "Ow!" she yelped, her arm reflexively jumping away. She was grateful she had been holding him with both arms, but now she was through being nice. "Okay, Odin, that does it. You want to run in there and get killed? You want to distract Alec or Widow so that they die? Fine. Go right on ahead. I won't stop you." With that, she dropped him in a heap and stomped off. She moved to a boulder and sat down, fuming.
