"Yeah," Donovan yawned. "It's too bad those morons act like that." Donovan stood up and stretched his limbs, looking around for something to sleep on. There was a perfect patch of moss that would work great for a bed, even if it was a bit damp. "We better catch some sleep, we'll want to be at our best tomorrow."

Kaida stifled a yawn. "Sounds good to me," she said, as the yawn broke out. She giggled, then pulled off her breastplate. She laid it down and laid her head down on it. It wasn't soft, but Kaida had spent several nights with it as her pillow. She was used to it. Zarola curled up next to her and Kaida laid her hand on the panther's side. A bit far away Alec could hear Widow calling for him. Intent on finding her as soon as possible he began racing towards the noise. The stick was still burning strongly, but he knew it wouldn't last forever. "Move!" he yelled as he pushed two guards out of the way. He raced to an alcove to the less where he guessed the sound was coming from. Another Deku blocked his path so he kicked at it and jumped over him. "Widow!" he yelled as he ran into the room.Comment

On the moss, Donovan gazed above him, past the trees to the starry sky. The unexplored, mystical, never ending ocean of stars. Was this land like the sky? Never ending, unexplored? Was it all like Termina, filled with monsters and people building towns? Too many questions stung his mind he though he would never sleep, so he let the peace of the night absorb him. Turning onto his side, he looked at Kaida. She looked so calm, he was pretty sure she knew how to survive in the wild world like he did. Yet she seemed so much more peaceful. And he realized the truth. If she wasn't with him, he would never go near land he'd never explored before. He felt so much safer with her around, even if he wasn't sure how experienced she really was. Having company brought him new interests. With a new feeling of safety and peace, the stars brought him to rest.
(I'm gonna make a new thread in Labrynna because once they're out of the woods they'll arrive at Sunset Valley. Or does Sunset Valley count as Termina?)
(Edit: Is it possible for them to end up in Sunset Valley and go north to Ikana? I think I remember a waterfall blocking the route off, but I don't quite remember.)Last edited by Peeps; 04-22-2012, 06:11 PM.Comment

"Odin" widow said softly "alec is on the way, you wanna be a big strong boy right, go with him I promise Ill follow behind shortly" she bent down and kissed Odin on his forehead before yelling out "ALEC!" again, and laughing. she was sure she was freaking him out at least a little, and it was kind of funny.sigpicI want to say a big thank you to zeke for making me the picture for my birthday.

(Sunset Valley is in Labrynna, I believe. It looks like there's a water path up to Ikana. I can't quite tell though. We'll just say it does for now, I guess.)
Kaida was a little surprised to hear Donovan start snoring before she fell asleep. She listened to his gentle snores as she tried to fall asleep herself. But her mind was too abuzz. So much had happened today. She won a tournament, used the money to buy Zarola, seen Justin dead, witnessed a kidnapping, and lead a rescue. Her rescue had failed, though. It was a terrible day overall. "It's always like that," she whispered to her sleeping companions. "The day starts beautiful and glorious, then ends down in the gutter." She sighed, then started humming to herself. Eventually, she managed to fall asleep.

(Okay, next day.)
The blinding sun intruded Donovan's deep sleep and he quickly got up to his feet. He was a bit wet from his moss bed, but he didn't mind at all, as the day seemed to be a hot one. Judging from the sun's position, he assumed it was about 7:00 in the morning, so he decided it was time to get a move on. He had always found it funny how he used the sun to tell time everyday. In Clocktown, you always knew the exact time, being named Clocktown and all, and having a looming Clocktower. He really was completely out of the loop.
He looked over at Kaida and nudged her side with his foot. "Time to get up," He looked down at her, wondering how she could still look so nice after the day before. "I'm not quite sure, but we might have a long walk ahead of us." He wasn't sure at all. It could be a day, a week, a few minutes... eternal. He sure hoped not. But he was sure he sensed something. He had no idea what, but there was only one way to find out.
He looked towards where the panther was, and Donovan seemed to have woken it up. Then he turned his head down the direction they would go today. It was still foggy, like always, but not as much as yesterday. His eagerness was like a bomb pulsing with energy and he couldn't wait to go.

Kaida woke as something nudged her side. She grumbled under her breath and sat up. "Too early to be getting up," she muttered as she pulled on her breastplate. Zarola shook herself and stood. The panther stretched lazily, then sat down to lick her shoulder. "Come on, Zarola," Kaida said to her. "Otherwise Donovan will leave us behind." She started after the man. Zarola finished her wash before following behind them. Kaida rolled her eyes. "So what's the plan for today?" Normally, she ate breakfast first before heading off, but she could wait if neccessary.

Alec heard her voice again and moved more decidedly through the room. There was only one more door here, and the voice was coming through the other side. As he powered through the door, he lowered the flaming stick and called out, "Widow?" Soon, he spotted her. "Widow!" He rushed to her side. "Widow are you OK? What happened is every....Odin!" It was just now that his eyes found the little Deku next to the pirate. "I thought I told you to stay outside with Kaida!"Comment

Odin winced at Alec's seemingly angry words and tightened his grip on Widow. If they wanted him to go, they'd have to pry him away. He kept his eyes squeezed shut and filled his mind with memories from before.Comment

Alec's face softened when he saw the Deku's reaction to his words. It seemed he had taken them the wrong way. He knelt down to be on eye level with him. "Hey, you know I'm not angry at you. It's OK to be scared, but we're only trying to protect you," he explained warmly. He smiled at Odin, even though in his head he knew that it would be very hard to get the Deku to go back outside by only asking. He was sure they would end up simply carrying him out or something.Comment

He peeked his eyes open slightly and felt a little less tense when he saw Alec smile. That had to mean that everything was alright…right? Grownups didn’t smile if something was wrong. At least, he didn’t think so, anyway. He closed his eyes again, took a deep, and quietly slipped his hand into Alec’s, all the while trying hard not to break out into tears again.Comment

Alec relaxed a little when he felt Odin do the same. He smiled at Widow and nodded firmly. He was about to get up and head to the door when he noticed two things. One was that the burning stick was burning out which caused him to drop it and step on it to put it out. The second thing he noticed that there had to be two ways to get into the Palace, because there was no way Odin had gotten in through the same way he had without being notice. He looked at the little Deku. "Odin, is there another way into the Palace? Some way no one else knows? Because, we really need to go and we won't be able to go back the way I came in. Do you know of such a place?" he asked while trying hard to make his tone relaxed and easy on Odin.Comment
