    Staff Application

    Alright, after much discussion we've decided to open up the application for staff again. Again, only one person will be getting this position. What the position will include:

    Being active almost every day
    Moderating the shoutbox up to the standards we expect
    Willing to discipline a member should they break a rule
    Help mediate conflicts between members should they occur

    What I would like to see for the application is the same as it has been:

    I'm totally applying just for the **** of it

    position: moderator

    activity: almost every day (weird times because I love in Australia though)

    why: although moderating forums would be hard for me, I would be fine moderating the shout box, Im good at seeing both sides of an argument so it's usually easy for me calm down an argument between people, Im not afraid to disciple people, and when I put my mind to something I can actually be a real perfectioness.

      How Active Are You: On once a day, save the times when I am sick or super-busy(maybe once a month tops)
      Why Do You Think You'd Be Good For This Position: I'm on the shoutbox almost constantly and I will often prowl the forums when bored, which is most of the time. I'm pretty good at resolving conflicts and finding solutions and I have no problem enacting the rules to the fullest extent of the rules when need be. I also have a very wide perspective and can see the differences in opinions. I'm also on most of the time and willing to moderate any new posts, as well as take a look at character applications, but not approve them(If that's the case). I know many of the mistakes that people make and, being a former god-modder in the days of yore(Back on ZD), I also can sense that sort of thing happening and I'll certainly crack down on it, being a victim of such things in past cases.

        How Active Are You: I am on nearly every day now, save the times when I am crowded with homework.
        Why Do You Think You'd Be Good For This Position: I was in this position before, so I have experience, I am not biased, and I have a lot of experience with forums and the like. I also like to chat with the members and look at random threads, so I will be likely to see broken rules if they are there. I also love to discipline people, lol.

          Position: Moderator
          Activity: I'm on most of the time, not including vacation days. Even if I have a lot of homework, I try to sneak on in the morning or at night with my iPad.
          Why: I have some experience with modding forums, but probably not as much as adfalcon does. However, being the second member besides Zeke and Ryli (with Eko being the first member) who has been here for a year, I have seen a lot of character applications and typical mistakes that people have made, which leads into one of my reasons for wanting to be mod. Sometimes, when people post a character app, a staff member who isn't lazy to approve it isn't on for 5-12 hours. Now, I'm not trying to offend any of the staff, but it is something that I have noticed during my time on AoW. Because of how often I am on, I feel I would be able to help end this problem and improve the time from which a member posts a character app to the time that a staff member looks over it.
          I also think I would be a good shoutbox mod. I see people break a few rules sometimes, and I would love to have the power to discipline people if they broke those rules again, just because a) you need to follow the rules and b) watching people break rules and not get to try and discipline them without them yelling at you about not being the boss of them would be fantastic. However, I can't promise I will be impartial. I will try to be impartial, but I can't say that I will ALWAYS BE IMPARTIAL NO MATTER WHAT THE CIRCUMSTANCE. I will try to hear each side out, but I would really not advise making me a mod for my impartial-ness or whatever. But one thing I am good at is editing. If a post in the shoutbox doesn't make sense, I will change it to what I think might be the message of the member for the sake of the other members.
          Well, that is all I can say about why I think I would be a good mod. I hope you will consider making me a mod after reading this application.
