As many of you may know, Naked Crook has become one of the site designers/coders. He is the Admin of a site called The New Order. As you may, or may not, be aware, this is my second "home site", Exploding Deku Nut, being my first. The New Order is now, in Layman's terms, Age of War's sister site. Although we may not have an "official" link to the site, you can ask some of the members to obtain the link, or click the one above.
This now leads me to explain what the Shoutbox Network is, and its purpose. As I'm sure you've noticed, in the top left corner of the shoutbox for any non-mobile theme, you have two abbreviations: "AOW" and "TNO" respectively. In short, the SB Network is a part of the theme's code to allow the two shoutboxes to essentially be "linked" via those tabs. The purpose of this is to allow members from both sites to have someone to talk to when they login. So if you login, and Age of War is mostly quiet and there are no members willing to chat, then you can tab over to the TNO tab and someone is bound to be online so long as you put up a shout.
There is a catch though, you MUST be a member of BOTH sites in order to participate in this. The simplest reason being that both websites are run on different servers and therefore, the userbase and forum threads are different. In addition, due to a recent event around the time of this post going up, I am going to make a few points/rules clear in the list below:
On that note, I would like to say that if you haven't signed up on The New Order, then to do so. I'm sure it will be something you won't regret. If you're further interested, ask any member of TNO about the site and its RPG.

The simplest reason being that both websites are run on different servers and therefore, the userbase and forum threads are different. In addition, due to a recent event around the time of this post going up, I am going to make a few points/rules clear in the list below:
- Members of Age of War will be expected to treat both The New Order, and any of its members, with respect as a member of Age of War. Chances are, they are also a member of Age of War too.
- Age of War and The New Order ARE NOT in competition. I do not want this mentality when talking to members of the opposite website. Naked Crook and myself are in excellent standings with each other. This setup is to give members something to do without too much strain on either site.
- If a cross-member, or a member on both sites, breaks a rule on one of the sites, they too, will be punished according to the other site's rules. I consider the SB Network as mutual grounds between the sites, therefore I will hold each member accountable on both sites. If you wind up banned on Age of War, I will immediately share the PM with Naked Crook and explain why I have chosen that course of action.
- YOU ARE ACCOUNTABLE FOR YOUR OWN ACTIONS! I cannot emphasize this enough. Under any circumstances does, or will, a member be held accountable as a "representative" of the partner site. You, and your offenses, will only harm yourself, not the relationship between forums.
- In addition, should ANY Age of War member be reported to the staff from an external member, either The New Order, or other, about any form of behavior that would not be tolerated on Age of War, you will be held accountable. You are, again, responsible only for yourself. Rude, obnoxious, and/or obscene behavior reflects poorly on Age of War to other people, and I will NOT tolerate it.
- There will be NO warning of punishment for any above rules. These are located in several locations on Age of War, and are viewable at any given time. Any questions can be forwarded to the staff.
On that note, I would like to say that if you haven't signed up on The New Order, then to do so. I'm sure it will be something you won't regret. If you're further interested, ask any member of TNO about the site and its RPG.
