When the tentacles wrapped around the rifle, Travis thought quickly. He let go of the rifle and did a backflip, in the process, he unholstered his pistol from his right leg and started to continue shooting.

Fayte took advantage of Travis becoming distracted. She shoved past them, half-running, half-limping for the fire escape. She would have used her wings and flown out of there, but with her arm broken as it was, she couldn't.....Comment

Endin saw her run and ducked under the tentacles, then tackled Fayte, sending both of them falling over the edge for the seconds it took for his jetpack to activate and stabilize, hovering them above the street.
"I don't know what our plan is, but I doubt it involves you escaping." He muttered, steering up to a rooftop. "If you try that again, I'm not going to catch you."
He was bluffing, of course, but she didn't have to know that.Comment

Kainis threw the rifle at Travis and ran at him, feeling the bullets pierce his shoulder. Already the first bullet holes were healing, and he approached and swiped his blade arm at Travis.So I'm back, or at least I will be eventually. Trying to reintegrate myself.

Travis put up his arm to try and defend against the swipe but in the back of his head, he knew it was useless. He wasn't the one equipped for melee. He laughed to himself at the irony of needing Endin after immediately criticizing him for not being helpful. When the corrupted's arm made contact Travis was thrown a few feet from the impact. Fortunately the body armor has significant protection but the force winded Travis.sigpic

Fayte nearly screamed in pain when he tackled her, her half-healed arm breaking again as it was crushed against his armored chest. She struggled against him. "Go ahead and let me fall, then. You people slaughter us every chance you get anyways, what's one more dead body?"Comment

Name: Zenith Welkin (although as a fully corrupted, is known as "X"
Gender: male
Age: 36
Appearance: although he is a fully corrupted he can change back 'at will'. in his 'human' forme, he has a relatively strong body. he has blue eyes with black hair. he has white skin and the only way to identify him as corrupted is a greenish brown gash on the centre of his back. however it is a minimal disguise, his skin has taken on a slight shade of yellow/green and has a fairly scaly texture, his teeth are still pointed, however in this forme, although he is weaker, is capable of more free thought, and speech.
in his corrupted forme, his build is more behemoth than human, he is over eight feet tall with yellow-green skin. like all corrupted, he is bi-ocular, with red eyes with a slit pupil.
Powers:
Light 1: claw
Light 2: glider
Medium: shield
Heavy: boomerang
Personality: he is a blood thirsty corrupted; completely insane
Backstory: he was a patient to cancer at the hospital in the years leading up to the corruption. after death became inevitable, the breakout started. the hospital was evacuated and he was left to die when the sores had started forming on his skin.
the already mutated cells took on the mutation, both quickening it, and altering it...

Star, he'll have to maintain his body shape. His eyes are yellow, I assume. He cannot change size; he must stay the same between forms, and he cannot switch between capable thought and animal thought. He simply is more capable based on how long it has been since he has absorbed life.So I'm back, or at least I will be eventually. Trying to reintegrate myself.

Endin saw the corrupted dive towards them and threw himself at the building next to them, shielding Fayte from the impact. Once she was safe, he threw himself at Kainis, his blade extending as the jetpack kicked in and he flew at Kainis's chest.

Fayte lay there on the floor where he had dropped her, dazed and in pain. She shook her head to clear her mind, then pulled herself to her feet and limped towards the door, hoping to escape and find somewhere to hide until her wounds healed.Comment

Endin kicked back and away from Kainis, pulling out his blade and leaving a clear shot for Travis. He kept his distance, moving from one side to the other to avoid the man's touch. "You'll never get the chance to find out." He said, hoping that Travis would take the hint and shoot.Comment
