Cynthia slid from the darkness of the forest like, well, a shadow. A few shadows clung to her, but she brushed them off. She glanced around the field and raised an eyebrow as she saw two people talking. A boy and girl. She slid over to them, making barely a sound on the grass as she walked. She smiled faintly as she felt every shadow of the grass beneath her, knowing that no matter where she went, she could always call on the element for aid if she needed it.Phillipians 4:13 - I can do everything through him who gives me strength.

eris could sense a mind nearby, actually it was really close to her. she turned around servreal times but couldn't see anything "strange" she said "I can hear someone's mind, other then yours zeke, but I can't see anyone" she continued to look, then something hit her "darkness" she mumbled, then louder she said "your hiding in the shadows aren't you!"sigpicI want to say a big thank you to zeke for making me the picture for my birthday.

eris stepped in front of zeke, knowing how uncomfortable he was with using his gift. she wasn't above using hers though, if she needed it. Cynthia shrugged. "First off, it's not blood-thirsty if I don't spill blood, it's just a hunger for death. Second off, the worst memories I have are living with that dumb family. Third off, animals are better than humans. I don't know what the deal is with the modern world, but the idea that animals are dumb is dumb itself, conceived by dumb humans. "I guess you'd know, being psychic." Cynthia always thought animals were capable of thought. Her cat always had been able to seem to talk to her. At least, until her father had drowned him. That was when she had killed him. She smiled, knowing this girl would be listening in to her thoughts and would know. "I know I am a *****. Quite literally. Concieved and born out of wedlock. Heartless, yes, that seems right. I haven't felt any sympathy for anyone wince I was young and innocent. Stuck-up, hmmm..." She trailed off and pursed her lips. "Nope, don't think I've been called that before." She shrugged. "Don't suppose anyone has had a vocabulary large enough to say that to me. As for wanting death, most of the people I killed were wanting to hurt me. You must be able to hide your skills easier than I have, because I have been hunted since I first found my gift." Which had been when she killed her family. Her mind conjured up images of the people who had chased her, carrying dart guns and real guns, trying to capture her for experiments. At least, that's what she had assumed. She hadn't been caught. Yet.
She looked the two up and down. "Actually, you two are proof for not being a birth thing. There is no way a similair mutation could occur between three people, not without assistance. "my mother had a similar gift just not as powerful" eris said simply "so, I know that, at least for me, it is a genetic thing" eris didn't believe what she was going to do, but finding two people with gifts in one day. she had to keep her around. she had lied about her mother, but it was easier for her to believe it was a genetic thing not a science experiment "look, you look like you have been traveling non-stop for a week, if not longer. Cynthia shrugged. "Sure, I'll bunk down with you. Only issue I'll have is you prying into my mind while I sleep. My dreams are private." She ignored the comment about the girl's gift being genetic. She reached to the shadows hiding under the blades of grass and pulled a few up. She attempted to wrap them around her mind, but as she had never done anything interally with her gift, she wasn't sure how successful she was. She waited to see if the girl made a comment. Cynthia dismissed the shadows. "I'm sure you'll 'try'," she said, putting emphasise on the word. "But the thing is, I don't know you. I don't trust you. And I think you don't know me enough that you're willing to try getting a read on me, just to know me better. So thanks, but between sleeping in the woods and having my dreams invaded, I'll take the woods. See ya."
