Finally after a little longer the stom was over. James looked around outside. There was definitely more sand and some trash from whee he did not know. Still, it was time they kept going. As he called to the others that they should keep going, he kept an eye on the sky hopeful but not expectant. Sure enough, Sephira was no longer flying around and he couldn't see any place where she would have fallen. He sighed with dismay but tried to look as less downcast as was possible. He waited for the others to start moving. He noticed something else though, Rose and her sister who's name he didn't care to remember were gone.

Gerrard looked around, blinking at the sudden and bright burst of sunlight, and walked out of the small shelter they were in. He was surprised at how much the landscape had changed, huge dunes that had existed were completely wiped out and new ones were formed. He looked over at the group, and he noticed that people were missing. When he noticed he raised a concerned eyebrow at James and hoarsely said "did you see if Rose and her sister were with us when we found shelter?"The Roose is LooseComment

James shook his head. "No I don't think so. I hope they're OK but I have no idea where they went." He frowned and looked around before turning to Star and Midnight. "Can you guys smell where they went?"
Meanwhile Elwood was looking around. He had never experienced any kind of storm, much less one in the desert. The fact that the world around him had changed so fast was very surprising. He looked around in case there was another storm coming anytime soon.Comment

Ea sighed. 'We're this close to the Gerudo Fortress guys. After the storm, the Gerudo may very well be out after the storm. Am I the only one who is reluctant to go on a wild goose chase?'So I'm back, or at least I will be eventually. Trying to reintegrate myself.

Star glanced at James, then looked at Midnight. The wolf shook his head. Might be able to, but it'll be difficult with the storm stirring everything up. Might be better to leave them on their own, make they're way back to us.
Star grimaced as she heard Ea inadvertantly agreeing with him. She looked at James, then walked over to stand by Ea, trying to convey to him that no, they couldn't track them. Sephira wouldn't like us just leaving them alone, but if we can't scent them, there's nothing we can do about it.Phillipians 4:13 - I can do everything through him who gives me strength.

James nodded slowly. He knew it had been a slim chance of them being able to track them. Without any means of tracking the twisted sisters, there was no safe way of knowing how trying to find them would turn out. He sighed as he looked at Ea, "I know. For now all we can do is keep going and hope wherever they are they'll be OK. With luck we'll run into them in the future." He picked up his pack and looked around then turned back to the others. James nodded and Elwood just stood behind him waiting, clearly bored from standing around so much. "All right, let's go," James exclaimed beginning to walk in the same direction they had been walking towards before. He didn't say anything but in the back of his head he could feel Gerudo were much nearer than he thought. If they indeed had captured the Twisted Sisters, it was only a matter of time before they came looking for Rose's friends. He looked at Midnight and Star, ready to jump into action if they displayed any sign of imminent danger. Elwood began humming to himself as he walked behind James.Comment

A few of the Gerudo walked close by them, but Luna and Rose were not discovered, not yet anyway. They knew it was only a matter of time. "They are as far away as their going to get" whispered Luna "if we move, we move now" Rose nodded in agreement, getting up and taking her sister's hand. They moved to run further into the desert away from the Gerudo, but as they were escaping they heard a patrolling guard yell "Intruder! I think it's the twins!" James came to a sudden stop. There was a ***** in the back of his mind. The feeling of distress aroused within him. He was sure something was happening. His eyes turned to Midnight, hoping the wolf knew what was going on. He could see the ears of the animal twitching, catching a noise somewhere around them. He had been right, the Gerudo were much closer than it seemed. It might have been his imagination, or maybe it was really true that there was shouting, someone calling for the capture of the twins nearby. Either way, they had to get a move on. He turned to Elwood and spoke quickly into his ears, "The Gerudo are near, we might or might not need to engage them in combat. Either way I need you out of trouble. I know Sephira wouldn't let me hear the end of it if something happened to you, so I'm sending you ahead. Go with Midnight and Star, find safety." He took the kokiri and placed him on Midnight's back, then adressed the animals. "Get him to safety, please, go," he ushered them. Not looking to see where they were heading, he returned to Ea and Gerrard. "We need to move, the Gerudo will arrive here shortly." He drew his knives and motioned them forward.Comment

Midnight grunted softly at Elwood's weight. He wasn't used to carrying stuff on his back. Still, he could get the boy away to safety, and keep him occupied until the others caught up. He nodded at James and started to hurry off, wondering if the Kokiri would have the sense to grip with his knees, not grab and tug his fur. He also hoped the boy would lean forward, as that would help keep the pair balanced.
Star, on the other hand, remained. She knew that while Midnight's black pelt would give him away quickly, her golden fur would keep her more hidden. She could remain with James and protect him as Sephira would like. She pressed against the young man, trying to tell him that his protests would be useless. neither rose nor luna were watching where they were going, all they knew was that they had to run, had to get away. panic made them careless and not long after they had started running rose tripped over a rock burried in the sand. "ROSE!" luna screamed, she she wateched her sister fall to the ground. rose moved quickly trying to standing up but fell down soon after "ah!" rose grumbled "Luna, I think ive twisted my ankle, go on without me, find James and seperhira and the others...... its not like I have much to live for anyway" tears were falling down her face, luna was in shock at her words "IM NOT LEAVING YOU!" she yelled at her, moving to pick her up, rose just shoved her away "go now" she said, sitting on the ground "or else they will get us both" luna looked up and saw the gerudo were getting closer "rose, I love you" luna said hugging her "ill come back for you I promise" she let go and ran away, meanwhile rose sat there and waited, accpecting her fate as the gerudo closed in.......sigpicI want to say a big thank you to zeke for making me the picture for my birthday.

Ea, silently onlooking, slowly took her bow off her shoulder. She looked around, trying to sense the threat. She turned to James. "We're not going to stay and fight, are we? We can't take on all the Gerudo. James noticed Star and smiled. It didn't surprise him she had decided to stay back with them. He gave a nod in her direction then turned to Ea. "No," he said as he shook his head, "It'd be foolish to engage the Gerudo in battle at this time. They would overwhelm us without question. We must flee for cover and hope they don't see us." He began walking faster than before.
Elwood held on tight to Midnight. At first he pulled on the hair of the wolf desperately trying to hold on, but he realized that would probably hurt Mid. Instead he decided to lean over and hug the wolf's underbelly. That way he kept his head burrowed in his fur, safe from the cold air.Comment

Midnight galloped across the desert as fast as he could, sand spraying up from his feet as he did so. He was pleased when Elwood lay across him, his little arms wrapping around the wolf's belly. It made it much easier to run, and he soon skidded to a stop near some rocky cliffs. He sniffed around them for a bit before deeming them safe, and lay down to allow Elwood off.
Star moved alongside James, her body tense with anticipation. Any second, they could be spotted and would have to run. Any second could thrust them into a race for their lives. It had been a long time since Star had run from someone, and she disliked the feeling of knowing someone dictated where she went. Sephira was the exception, because the Stari always listened to her two animal companions and let them chose the way to go. James could also be an exception, although Star didn't trust him as much yet. These Gerudo, on the other hand, she disliked, simply because they were forcing her to go somewhere.Phillipians 4:13 - I can do everything through him who gives me strength.
