When they arrived at the others, Donovan got off of Chadur, preferring standing over the horseriding position. Kaida’s breastplate was actually burning him a bit too. He waved to the unfamiliar crowd when Kaida introduced him, letting out a brief “Hey,” while he examined the group. He wasn’t in much of a mood to be around so much people--he just wanted to be with Kaida.
“I think we should help them out,” Donovan whispered to Kaida after everyone was introduced, looking for her approval. He knew how much she wanted to leave with him, and he wanted to just as much, but it didn’t seem right to break off just yet. “I mean, help guide them to Termina. And then we can go off on our own.” Donovan hated to become a part of Sephira’s group’s business, and they probably didn’t want his help anyways, but he still felt like he had yet to repay Sephira for her help. For all he knew, he could have been in that giant bird’s stomach if Sephira hadn’t helped.
