    Visit to the Village

    Sephira wandered through the small market, keeping an eye on Star as she did so. She loved the more quiet and less rushed atmosphere of Kakariko. Castle Town Market was fine too, but it was so much more crowded, it made her feel claustrophobic.
    Star wandered around too, but she kept within Sephira's sight the whole time. Normally, Midnight would keep an eye on her, but since Midnight was with James, the cheetah had to stay close to Sephira. This was because her unusual starry pelt attracted unwanted attention, and many people had attempted to capture her to either show her off as a rare prize, or to skin her for a coat.
    Sephira made a purchase of bread and turned to see the cheetah was sitting in front of a jewler's stand, admiring the twinkling gems. Sephira smiled and walked over to admire the jewelry with her.

    As rose entered the village with Elliot and James she easily noticed sephria at a jewelry shop. She smiled and ran over to her "jewelry, a girls best friend" rose laughed smiling at sephria "not only do they look pretty they can be pretty useful if you find the right one" rose laughed,

      Sephira laughed and hugged Rose. "Long time no see, Rose. Glad you're safe." She then turned her attention back to the glittering gems. "And yes, they are. But how can they useful? The only thing I can think of is identification." She touched her pendant.

        When James saw Sephira his face lightened up. Midnight barked and ran up to her, greeting her in every possible way. James smiled and walked up to her as well. He remembered his dream, but decided not to act on it yet. "Hey Sephy," he said, "How are you doing?"

          Sephira smiled happily as Midnight charged her. She rubbed his ears, murmering to him in his tongue. Then she heard it. That name. Reflex kicked in before she registered the voice. James was pinned to the wall, her sword at his throat. Her eyes blazed at him before she realized that is was him, not the other person. Stunned, she let go. Then she was gone. weaving through the crowds and running so fast, not even Star and Midnight could follow her.
          Midnight started after her, but he knew there was nothing he could do, and besides, she was already too far away. Star wandered over to James and rubbed his leg, purring. With her tail, she quickly wrote in the dust, "Don't worry. Sephy has a bad past."

            James was left in shock, he would have never seen that coming. He had to remind himself to keep breathing. He frowned, not knowing what it was he had done wrong. Seeing the message Star had left he frowned again, thinking what it would be, not knowing if he should try and follow her and find her. He did know the only thing he had done different was calling her Sephy, he took mental note to never do it again.

              Sephira hid in the topmost branches of a tree, just outside the graveyard. She swayed back and forth, clutching her head. "He's dead," she muttered. "He's dead. He's not going to come back. He's gone."

              Star watched James. Midnight rubbed his leg, then trotted back over to the jeweler's stand. "Buy her one," he tried to tell James, but of course the boy couldn't understand him. The wolf growled to himself.

                Rose was shocked and sephria's actions, but she understood them. Rose put one hand on james's shoulder "someone has hurt her in her past" rose said softly "whoever it was probably called her sephy. I would do the same thing if someone called me rosy" rose shivered at the memory of ganondorfs touch "it may not be in the same way as me, but someone has hurt her"

                  James nodded, and now he felt bad for Sephira, and desperately wanted to find her and apologize, but he knew her seeing him right now wouldn't help. He noticed the wolf and cheetah, and understood Midnight was trying to tell him something, but he didn't really know what. He looked back and forth between them for a while until he noticed the jewelry shop. Then he understood. He walked over to it and looked over the jewels. He tried looking for something he felt like Sephira would like. After a while, he finally found something he hoped would work. It was a silver bracelet, and it held three gems in the form of a Sun, a Moon, and a Star respectively. It wasn't much, but it was something. He took it and asked the person behind the counter the price. When the man looked up he recognized James, and after a few condolences for his mother, gave James the bracelet for free. James thanked him and turned back to Star and Midnight. He knelt in front of them and held the pendant to them. "Will you do me a favor? Could you find Sephira and give her this, tell her it's from me, and that I'm sorry?" He opened his palm so that one of the pets would take it.

                    "I suppose that's the best thing to do," Elliot said with a sigh, placing his hand on the distraught boy's shoulder. "She's probably going to want some time on her own first, before rejoining us. Still, I can't imagine what could've happened to her to make her act that way..."

                      Star gently took the bracelet from James and draped it on Midnight ears. The wolf barked her a thank you, and James a promise to deliver it, then went sniffing around for Sephira. She had just calmed down and was starting to come out of her tree when Midnight found her. She smiled sadly at him. "Hi, Midnight. I'm sorry for running out like that."
                      Midnight pressed his snout to her knee. "It's okay. James got this for you." He flicked his ear.
                      Sephira lifted the bracelet of and gasped. It was beautifull! Tears sprang to her eyes as she examained it. "He got this. For me. Even after what I did?"
                      Midnight bumped her. "He thinks it's his fault. Please come back. He's worried."
                      Sephira nodded and followed him back. When she spotted James, she ran to him and threw her arms around him in a hug. "I'm sorry!" she sobbed. "I'm so sorry!"

                        Widow smiled at Elliot she moved to his side and whispered "let's give these two some time alone" she then turned to face the others and spoke in a louder voice "were going to look at house, we will come find you later" she smiled at both of them before dragging Elliot off.

                          Elliot reluctantly allowed himself to be dragged off by Rose, but not before looking back at the younger couple with a troubled expression on his face. "Do you think they'll be okay?" he asked Rose, still keeping his eye on them. "Maybe we should stay nearby in case something happens..." If, goddesses forbid, James was left with a broken heart, he wanted to be there to help mend it.

                            James hugged her back, "No, I'm sorry, I'm sorry..." he said, he couldn't stand to see her cry. "You did nothing wrong, I am sorry," he continued saying. He didn't want to let her go, and he never wanted to cause her that pain ever again, so he just hugged her back. He held back a tear in his eye, and just held her until she let it all out.

                              "it will be fine" Rose said, grabbing his hands "sephria would never intentionally hurt James, besides we need to find a new house as soon as possible" rose smiled at him "I really am sick of sleeping in a cave" rose laughed.
