Kainis heard the moo too late as the cow, obviously VERY sensitive, kicked him right in his bad shoulder. He went sprawling, and kicked over the half-full bucket of milk, in the meantime swearing loudly. He stood up, moving his arm which was in unbearable pain, but thankfully seemed OK.So I'm back, or at least I will be eventually. Trying to reintegrate myself.

Avalona nodded. "Call me if they start giving you trouble!" She vaulted over the fence and ran to the barn. "Kainis!" She ran into the barn and hurried over to him. "Are you alright? What happened?"Comment

Avalona swatted the offending cow on the rump. "Be nice, Chica." She turned back to Kainis and took one of the buckets from him. "Come on, I'll show you." She led him to a shed nearby. Inside was a small, ice-cold natural spring. Three milk urns sat submerged in the water, and a forth sat waiting to be filled. "We just pour the milk in here," she poured her bucket of milk carefully into the urn, "then seal the lid on tightly with beeswax and submerge it into the spring to cool."Comment

Kainis shrugged. "Alright, I guess that works." He thanked Avalona and went back to his business, pouring the other bucket in and then taking the last one he had and filling that in.

Avalona went over and took a small earthenware jug from a niche in the wall and carefully spread beexwax from the jar around the lip of the jug. Setting the jar back in it's niche, she quickly grabbed the lid and pressed it down into the wax. "There. That'll do it."

Meldos slowly approached the farm. He couldn't see anyone, as the house blocked his vision. He hurriedly ran up to it, and peeked around the corner.

Rin, still working in the field, saw shaded figures approaching. He couldn't take a chance. He got the last sheep in, then took the back route to the barn. Gwyna followed Meldos, staying to the shadows. She slipped along the wall of the house, listening through the windows for Rin's voice. She had a job to do.Comment

Verigan saw the man run into the barn and followed, sprinting up to the front and using some of his rope to tie the doors closed together. He signaled to Meldos he'd seen someone run in, then vaulted through a window and landed in the barn, feet not making any sound. He clung to the wall for a second, holding his breath and willing Rin not to see him, unconsciously using magic to do just that, then snuck up to the hayloft, reaching for his knives for a surprise attack.Comment

Deana went slid along the walls, going the opposite direction of her sister. She didn't hear anything from the house, though. She slid over to Gwyna.
