Rin's eyes went almost solid, his golden coloured eyes, normally soft and forgiving, were now full of malice and hate. his vision sharpened intensely. in one swift movement, he drew his knife and attempted a stab to the nearest bandit (which happened to be meldos).

Verigan saw his attacker get sliced in half by Meldos and felt a brief surge of triumph, then felt a searing pain on the back of his head. Stars spun in front of his eyes and he looked at Ava, holding his head, the knife forgotten on the floor. "What happened? This was going to be easy." He said aloud. Trying to stand, he stumbled to his feet, the girl focused for a moment on Kainis. "Oh Three." He shouted as another wave of pain hit him, sending him to his knees.Comment

Avalona growled menacingly, her hand tightening around the stake. She closed her eyes. "I'll kill you for this..... all of you...." She spun suddenly, lashing out at Verigan with the stake while he was still trying to stand. Her eyes, once stormy blue, had turned a bold green, and there was no kindness there, no mercy or gentleness. Her eyes blazed with pure hatred and fury, her once soft features twisted in a snarl.
Gwyna forced herself to her feet, picking up the dagger she had stolen from Verigan. The slightest movement sent pain throughout her entire body, but she forced herself to slowly move closer to Rin, taking advantage of his distraction.Comment

(This post fits at the bottom of page 42)Kainis turned, cursing under his breath. He saw Meldos' halberd flash across his line of sight, and an intense pain well up across his chest. He was kicked, sending him crashing down. His tunic became stained red around the wounds, and they were bleeding fast. He tried to prop himself up, but his shoulder screamed with pain(His other shoulder, y'know, the arrow wound.). He went limp. The pain seemed to be far off, almost as if he had been dreaming it. He may not have had much time left. He tried to stem the flow of blood, but the tunic was already sopping wet. He felt weak. "By the gods... there's a lot of blood in people."(End post)
Meldos grimaced. He hadn't wanted to kill his brother. He gripped the halberd, regretting what he had done. He felt someone stabbing him, right into his leg. He turned, seeing who was obviously Rin. "Child!" He spawned a shield from his hand and rammed it into Rin, dealing with him. He leaped over Kainis' body and rushed to assist Verigan, one thought on his mind.
Where in Nayru's name is Deana?!
Kainis propped himself up on his arm, then failed. His breath was lessening. The fight seemed to be quieter, more peaceful. He looked around.
They have to win. They have to...So I'm back, or at least I will be eventually. Trying to reintegrate myself.

(dang, you guys posted a lot last night)
Deana was surprised at how badly the fight was going for her fellow bandits. She drew her twins knives and went forward to help, but who needed her help most? Verigan with a stake in his shoulder? Gwyna with the large cut in her shoulder? Or maybe Meldos. Her eyes flitted to her leader and saw he had just dealt with his attacker. She smiled grimly, then Rin was attacking him. She chewed her lip. Meldos and her twin against Rin, or Verigan against that farm girl? Deciding the farm girl seemed to be more of a threat to her companion, she moved toward her, her feet making no noise, her cloak helping to make her appear as a shadow. She slipped behind the girl and stabbed at her with her blade, at the same time shouting to Meldos, "I grabbed a bag of goods. We can clear out whenever you're ready."Phillipians 4:13 - I can do everything through him who gives me strength.

Ignoring the pain, Rin got up. he had yet not calmed down, but his thoughts were more clear. he drew his bow and notched an arrow, but he hesitated, he wasn't a murderer, he reflected back to the time the bandit's had come, and what Avalona had said and his expression softened. but he launched the arrow at the newcomer, he couldn't abandon her now, and he stood no chance on his own.Comment

Ava dropped and spun, jerking the stake from Verigan's shoulder and slamming it into Deana's knee in one fluid motion. Snarling, she struck at the girl again and again, swift and deadly. She didn't just want to kill them, she wanted to destroy them.Comment

Meldos grimaced. Two of his bandits, including himself, were facing possible defeat. Right now he needed all the hands he could get. He had underestimated these people. "Bandits! We have their valubles! Draw back, spread out, and meet back at base!" Before running out, he saw Kainis's bladeshot lying on the ground. In a desperate attempt, he brought his halberd down on it, crushing the mechanism. He then ran, aiming for a large curve back to base.
*Meldos returns to Bandit's Guild of Hyrule*
Kainis looked down. His entire chest felt to be on fire. He desperately tried to apply pressure, realizing it wasn't as deep as he had first thought. As always, the initial shock had been much worse. He heard his brother call a retreat, and smiled to himself. Perhaps he was going to live. He knew if such a miracle occurred, he would hunt down Meldos with his life. He had disgraced his family, and he'd pay. He looked over, saddened, at his ruined bladeshot. The mechanism smashed, a repair was out of the question. Perhaps the blade and handle could still be salvaged. He tried to prop himself up on his elbow, but his strength failed him and he collapsed back down. He breathed slowly. Death was perhaps not out of the question, but he might survive.So I'm back, or at least I will be eventually. Trying to reintegrate myself.

Gwyna drew on the last vestiges of her strength and grabbed her sister, heading off into the woods, taking a different route back to the base.
*Gwyna returns to Bandit's Guild of Hyrule*
Ava limped over to where Kainis lay, the stake falling to the floor. The anger faded away as quickly as it had come, leaving her cold and empty. Kneeling at Kainis's side, she pressed his ruined shirt down firmly over the wound across his chest. "Please..... stay with me, Kainis....." She fought against the black dispair that threatened to overwhelm her, tears streaming down her face. She ignored the blood still running down her own chest, blocking out her own pain so she could focus on doing everything she could to keep him alive until help came. "Just hold on a bit longer, please...... Please, Kainis......"Comment

Deana yelped in pain as the stake struck her knee. Before she could retaliate, though, Gwyna grabbed her and dragged her away. She was a little upset at that, but not overly much. The farm girl had a vicious arm, and Deana now understood why Verigan had such difficulty against her. Before the twins vanished into the forest, though, she grabbed up the bag again. "Meldos should be pleased with this," she murmered to herself. It wasn't as good a haul as they normally would get, but normally they would have more people helping them.

Verigan pulled himself to his knees and tried to limp away, keeping to the shadows. He looked over with some regret at Ava crying over Kainis' body, but held his emotions in check. They did what they needed to do, and there was no taking it back now. He sneaked away towards the guild headquarters, holding onto his wounds and making sure not to look back at the injured pair behind him.

Rin watched the bandit's flee into the field. he thought carefully, why did they flee? only two of us were able, and even then... He walked back over to the others, and spoke, "I need to go after them, in spite of my age, I have more experience than some of them, if wit is enough to get by. Kainis held up his hand, almost struggling to breath with Avalona's pressure. His voice was hoarse. "Rin, don't be stupid. As much skill as you may have, you just can't take all four of them. We've had one casualty today, and if they did loot the house we'll have good reason to go after them." He then grunted. "Ava, I've been through worse. You don't have to push that hard." He motioned out to the field. "My cloak, it's out in the field. You can tear it... but," he looked up, "Gods, Ava, you're bleeding. You need help."So I'm back, or at least I will be eventually. Ava eased up on the pressure a bit, wiping her eyes on her sleeve. "I'm fine, it's just a scratch.... I thought I'd lost you.... Don't you ever scare me like that again, okay?" Reaching over, she took his hand in hers.Comment
