    The Leaving of Hyrule

    *Sephira and co arrive from Contra Mortem*

    Sephira stopped near the remains of the pyre. She gave the ashes a small bow of respect, then turned to where she knew James would come from. She doubted he'd be much longer. He was the one who set the time. If he couldn't make his own dead-line, well, they'd have problems. Sephira always tried to be as punctual as possible.

    Ea rubbed her face. Feeling bored, she summoned a ball of fire and tossed it up and down. She walked up next to Sephira. "So, what are we waiting for again?" She turned the ball into a small bird, and cast it off. "Because I am really not in a waiting mood right now."
    So I'm back, or at least I will be eventually. Trying to reintegrate myself.
    My 3DS Friend Code is 3437-3052-8998. I'm usually playing the MH4U demo or MH4U(When it comes out), but I'd also be down for 3DS Smash Bros.

      *James and co arrive from Rose's Recovery*

      As if on cue to what Ea said, James, Rose, Axel, and Gerrard walked towards the camp from the side opposite of where Sephira and the others had come. James was surprised to see the Sheikah from before, as well as another girl, standing next to Sephira and Elwood. Still, he was sure it wasn't as much surprise he felt as the one when Sephira saw that Rose and Gerrard were coming with him, as well as a new guy. He began racking his brain for an explanation that would stop her from being angry at him. He waved at her once he thought she could see them, with an apologetic look already on his face.

        Sephira waved back to James. "Them," she said in answer to Ea's question. She examained James' companions. She was surprised to see Rose with him, although she supposed it would have been difficult to keep her from coming. She didn't recognize one of the men with him, but she did recognize the other. Gerrard. She knelt down next to Midnight and started petting him and generally making a fuss over him, to distract herself from the quiet anger that had flared when she had spotted the man.

          "hey sephria" rose said, running up to sephria. her usual happy go lucky smile was on her face "I have some good news, but before I tell you it I want to say I'm sorry. I'm sorry about all the trouble I put you through. it's funny, I've lost Elliot twice, once was my own fault and the second time, well, he isn't coming back. I guess that's my punishment for how foolishly I've acted in the past" she paused, a few tears coming out of her face, however her smile never left "I know he would want me to go on, he wouldn't want me to give up. now for the good news, I've got my memory back, as soon as I snapped out of the revenge faze of grieving it all came flooding back, strangely"

          axel walked besides James "so that's the sephira you guys were talking about" he said to James "pretty cute girl, but no one could miss the huntresses spirit that blazes inside her" he smiled at James "even her friends better watch out for her, I don't think she would spare them if they betrayed her"

            Ea turned, seeing a girl crying after being 'introduced.' She never felt comfortable around crying people. She tried to comfort her. "I don't understand how you feel, but whoever this Elliot is, I think he would've wanted you to still live your life." She grimaced at how sappy she'd been. She never liked being sappy.
            So I'm back, or at least I will be eventually. Trying to reintegrate myself.

              James smiled back at Axel. "Yeah, she's amazing," he replied. In his mind he was thinking she's more than amazing. She's everything a guy could wish for, and everything that makes me fall in love, but he didn't say it. He thought about going over and talking to her, but decided against it. He would wait till Rose and Gerrard were done, and he was sure that could take a while.

              Elwood wandered around, looking at everyone who was now in the field. He began counting them. There were 8 in all, counting himself. He hadn't imagined he could feel crowded in such a big place that was Hyrule Field, but he was feeling crowded as of now. He sat down on the floor and began humming to himself.

                Sephira looked up from Midnight. She smiled at Rose, though it was strained on the edges. She was still angry at seeing Gerrard with them. "It's alright, Rose. It was no trouble at all, especially when compared to-" she bit off the sentence. Rose didn't know what she had done on her quest for revenge against Strattus. And she'd much rather no one else would learn it. James, Kairu, and Ryli were the only ones who did. She finished the sentence with, "-how much trouble I'd be if I forgot everything." She light a small fire in her palm to demonstrate her point. "If I forgot everything, who knows how much damage I'd do with this?" She put out the flame and gestured at her two animals. "These two, thankfully, would never let me forget." She rubbed Star's chin and ruffled Midnight's ears. Then she stood up and turned her full attention to Gerrard. "Why are you here?" she asked. If you hadn't know she was a phoenix, you would have thought she controlled ice, her voice was so cold.

                  Gerrard slightly flinched at Sephira's angry voice, he definitely didn't want to anger her even more. "Well," he started, "at first I came to apologize, but then I saw James. I mentioned to him that I wanted to apologize to you, he wanted me to come in person." Gerrard took a deep breath and got ready to apologize. "I am really sorry for what I did earlier, even though I did not to it consciously. I know you don't really believe this, but I am ready to prove to you that I am truly sorry. Just tell me how to prove this and I will."

                    "Apologize?" Sephira spat. "After all you've done? After all I've seen you do?" She gestured at her side, where the scar from their fight was healing beneath her tunic. "After you almost killed me? I'd be dead but for James and Elliot." She pointed at Rose. "After you kidnapped her and almost killed many of my friends as they attempted to rescue her?" Her hand pointed to James. "After you killed his mother and left him to rely on friends for support?" She jabbed her finger towards Gerrard, ignoring the heat waves flowing off it. "Lady Nayru forbids me to." She said so calmly, anyone listening might have been convinced that the goddess really had forbade her.

                      Gerrard got a weird feeling, then he seemed to black out.
                      He was looking from his own eyes, but everything seemed blurry and out of focus. He felt a weird feeling in his chest, it seemed to be a mixture of anger and pleasure. He saw himself fight someone who appeared to be Sephira, although it was hard to tell with the blurry vision. He seemed to be nearly victorious, as he cut her on the side. A few more people came, although he could not tell who they were, and they drove him away.
                      After only half a second, Gerrard came back into consciousness, but then blacked out once more.
                      He saw himself at a top of a mountain, which seemed to be Death Mountain. Although his vision was better, it was still too blurry for him to make out significant details. He saw this large imposing figure doing something over him, suddenly he felt this power grow inside of him.
                      He again woke up, and flinched for a second, but then realized that all these horrible flashbacks were over. He did not truly see how bad he was when he was possessed until then, he suddenly realized why Sephira had hated him. He then said, "I know that what I did was horrible, but I am truly sorry. I had no control over what I did, I swear on the Triforce! I will do anything to prove it to you."

                        Sephira snorted, small jets of flame coming out of her nose as she did so. "The Triforce is a myth spread by the weak in need of a goal to make them strong." She supposed the same could be said about the goddesses, but she firmly believed in them. The Triforce, however, was a temptation, a stupid obsession to captivate imaginations of people. People who would leave their families and responsibilities to hunt for it.
                        Midnight nudged her knee. You cannot keep your flame hot against him. You know what happened when your flame burned against a person.
                        She sighed and knelt next to him, rubbing his ears. "My flame burns dully, Midnight. I daren't let it burn hot. I know what happened to me when I burned against another with the feriocity of the sun." She sighed wearily. She didn't like being angry. She loved the way it warmed her skin, the power it flowed through her. But after what she had done to him.... Her eyes drifted to the pendent around James' neck.
                        Viciously, she shoved the thoughts away and stood up. "There is only way I will be satisfied." She looked Gerrard in the eye, her own blazing with her pent-up fury. "There is a Stari tradition I desire to use. You stand and do not resist as I attack you. I am allowed to use my fists and power only, and I may only focus my power to my hands. I may take out all my anger on you, dealing as much damage as I desire. The only one allowed to pull me off before I am finished is a judge of your choosing." She stepped closer to Gerrard. "Make sure you pick wisely," she hissed, her breath hot against his skin. "I can deal more harm in a single blow than many can do in several." She wondered if he would accept the challenge. Very few Stari were willing to take it, knowing that to do so could very easily result in loss of life. Hylians, she has learned, were even more timid with those wielding gifts.

                          rose was horrified at what sephira was planing on doing, she couldn't even believe it was even a tradition of her people. "sephira you can't do this" rose said, trying to stop this man from getting hurt "I know he did bad things, you think I'm not still upset, but everyone deserves a second chance" rose moved between the two of them "violence is never the path of forgiveness, only revenge, and reveange is a horrible thing, it only leads to one's own destruction"

                            James stared unblinking at the argument between Sephira and Gerrard. At first everything was going as he had expected. Gerrard was trying to get her trust back like a puppy tried to get food from the table, and Sephira was throwing a lot of hate his weigh. But, then it changed. Sephira said something, and as she explained her challenge James' eyes widened. It was frightening to think of Sephira unleashing her entire fury on Gerrard, and him not doing anything in return. At that moment he was having a conflict of interests. Sephira was right about something: after everything he had done, it was unthinkable to forgive Gerrard. He knew he would have never forgiven him, if not for his mother's message and previous events in his life. His stomach hurt as memories of Fernando returned to him. it was incredible that after all this time, he still hated and missed him so much. He shook off the feeling and returned his eyes to Sephira and Gerrard. The conflict was that even if Sephira was right, Rose was also right. Forgiveness didn't come through kicks and punches. At least not usually. He groaned. Suddenly he felt something warm on his neck. His hand shot up to it and felt the pendant Sephira had given him at some point. He didn't know why he had felt it grow hot, so he was sure he had imagined it. Finally he spoke up, still unsure of what he thought was right. "Are you sure about this, Sephira?"

                              Ea sighed, obviously forced out of the conversation. She knew that getting involved wouldn't end well, so she walked over to Elwood. "You need any ammo for that slingshot of yours? If it's even done, that is..."
