Ea snapped finally. "You think I don't know what it's like? I never saw my dad past age six! I thought he was dead! That was what everyone made it sound like! He wasn't actually dead, but I just moved on. My life was totally fine. In fact, it was almost better! If I hadn't moved on, I bet that I'd probably still be sad about it. See what I mean? It's the same principle."

So I'm back, or at least I will be eventually. Trying to reintegrate myself.

Sephira nodded at James. "Yeah, might as well." She stood and pulled a map out of her bag. Having travelled most of Hyrule at one time or another, she had drawn it up herself. The lines were a little messy, but she could read it. She walked to James and held it out so he could see. "Maybe through here?" she asked, pointing to the desert. She loved it, being fire, but she wasn't sure if anyone else would like the excessive heat, or if it would be too much for Rose, having run from it when she left the Gerudo.
She glared over at Ea when she heard the girl snap. "Yes you have to move on," she said, a little snapishly herself, "but that doesn't mean there's anything wrong with mourning. I personally feel that you should keep your grief from affecting others, but I know Rose has never had the training I had to hide emotions. So let her deal with it the best way she knows how, and deal with your own hurt without lashing back at the rest of us. Because you obviously haven't gotten over him if you're still so angry." Then she turned back to the map.
Midnight cocked his head. He had never been called Mid before. He wagged his tail. He would find some way to get his playtime. He looked over at Sephira and saw she was looking at the paper thing she had drawn on. He didn't know what it was exactly, but he knew that it meant she was planning their way. He turned back to Elwood and yipped, knowing that they would still be a little while before they left. Star glanced at the wolf and flicked her tail, annoyed. Ea turned away, suddenly realizing that this little burst had almost made her energy stronger. She could feel it... there was a lot. It had been gathering, and she had been hiding it since she came here. She didn't even realize that her forearms and hands were starting to ignite when she turned back around. "He's dead now. He's been dead for a year. Frankly, I'm glad! He was a jerk, not even giving a (Insert hylian substitute for **** here) about my life! Anger and sadness are two different, if not closely related things. He was always dead to me, and now that he's dead I am moving on. Maybe I haven't yet, but I'm certainly doing a better job than her!" She gestured to Rose, regretting it the very minute she said it. She stood there, with her arms now pretty much blazing. Realizing what she'd done, she turned around and walked away a few meters. "you have had time to deal with it, Elliot just died YESTERDAY!" rose yelled at Ea, the anger in her voice just sounding wrong "and before Elliot, you wanna know what I was doing? being forced to marry the only man in the gerudo, and he is a horrid man. he treated me as a prize he had won, a toy he could do anything with. so don't tell me your life was hard. as far as I'm concerned my life began the day I left the gerudo vally. and now, now I've been taken back twice. it will probably happen again too"sigpicI want to say a big thank you to zeke for making me the picture for my birthday.

James decided to focus on the map instead of listening to the girls argue. The argument pained him a lot, too, since it was true that Elliot had died the day before. He shook the thoughts from his head. Now was not the time. Inspecting the map a bit closer he began thinking. The forest held a lot of mystery's, and he was sure one of them would probably be a way out of Hyrule. Still, the desert didn't sound like a bad idea. Of course, there was a problem. "Well, that looks good, however..." He drew a circle of air around a part of the map. "That's where the Gerudo are, right? And with our previous, um, visits there, I think we'd better avoid it completely. Do you know any other route through the desert that doesn't involve going close to it?"
Elwood raised an eyebrow, and realized that Midnight wasn't going to back down. He begin circling the wolf, laughing, wondering what he wanted to play. He saw Star out of the corner of his eye. "What is it, Star? Do you want to play as well?" he teased, smiling.Comment

Sephira made a shooing motion at Gerrard without lifting her gaze. "Tell you later, we're busy." She frowned at the map. "Through Lost Woods, I think," she said, pointing to the small area on the map. "But I haven't been able to explore there fully, and I'm not sure if we should go through there." She shot a meaningful glance at Elwood. "Besides, we should be able to circumvent the Gerudo Fortress if we travel along here." She traced a path with her finger.
Then she noticed that fire was being invoked. She turned a glare on Ea and Rose, both of whom were still yelling. "Will you two both shut up? Ea, there is nothing wrong with mourning someone. Using anger to lash out at everyone is not going to help at all. Rose, there is absolutely no need for you to wave your life story around like a banner, just to prove you have a right to cry. You both have every right to express your emotions how you feel. Just don't hurt anyone else in your grief. Din's Flame, I better not have to baby-sit you two."
Midnight barked happily and looked at Star. If she joined in, they could play that chasing game Sephira had taught to them when they were little. He thought it was called Tag. Star sighed at his pleading eyes and walked over to Elwood. She bumped him lightly, then turned to Midnight. He grinned at her and charged. rose shot sephira a dirty look before walking off to the nearest tree. she hated being angry, it made her stupid and she knew it. she took a few deep breaths and started hitting a tree. why did that girl have to show up she thought angrily, as she hit the tree as hard as she could she stired up old memories, ugh, why couldnt I have just been born into hylian society not the gerudo, I wouldnt have to worry about it then. I wouldn't have to worry about yelling out my past then her hands were getting red from hitting the tree, some of her knuckles were actually bleeding, but that didn't stop her from hitting the tree.sigpicI want to say a big thank you to zeke for making me the picture for my birthday.

James nodded. "That makes sense. I guess the desert is our best option," he agreed. He looked up when Sephira chastised the girls and shook his head, but didn't say anything. "How long do you gather it will take us to get to the desert?" His eyes wandered to the Kokiri, wold, and cheetah who were playing. He realized it had been a while since he had played anything. His heart throbbed as he realized the last time he had played had been with Elliot that time at the small lake. He closed his eyes for a moment.
Elwood laughed happily as Star joined them and smiled at her. He didn't realize the wolf was coming for him until Nia jingled. "Watch out!" He looked at her, and then at the wolf who was about to get to him. He didn't have anytime to run, so instead he tried rolling to the left. He wondered what was gonna happen.Comment

Sephira chewed her lip and traced the path again, more slowly this time. "Not sure," she said, also slowly. "A day to the desert, then a couple days to get through it. I haven't been that way through it, though, so I don't know where it ends. We could be there for weeks." She glanced up as she heard her wolf barking happily and smiled. "Figured you'd chose Tag aft getting Star to join, " she said, her lip still between her teeth.
Midnight skidded to a halt as Elwood tried rolling away. He growled teasingly as he bumped the boy's leg with his head rather roughly. Then he hopped away and waited for the Kokiri to come after him or Star. The cheetah just sat and waited patiently, also watching.
Not sure if Elwood would understand the rules of the game, Sephira called, "You have to chase them and try to touch them. If you manage to, you need to avoid whoever was last touched until that one touches you. Then it's your turn as chaser again."Phillipians 4:13 - I can do everything through him who gives me strength.

rose's hands were bloody when she returned to the group "umm sephira" she said shyly "I think I might need to bandage my hands" she held up her hands to show them covered in blood "I was angry to I started punching the tree over there" she tried to smile sweetly at them but she just felt guilty for getting all angry and stuff.sigpicI want to say a big thank you to zeke for making me the picture for my birthday.

Sephira looked up from the map again as she heard Rose. Her eyes widened in surprise as she saw the damage the girl had managed to do in a few minutes. She tossed to map to James and took Rose's hands in her own. She looked over the bruised and bloody knuckles. "Why in Din's name did you- Never mind, you answered that already." She sighed and started to gently pick splinters out of the cuts and scrapes. "Hopefully these won't get infected, but Nayru knows what that tree might give you." She flicked away the last splinter and reached into her pack for dock leaves, which she tied on with willow branches.Phillipians 4:13 - I can do everything through him who gives me strength.

James took the map and began going over what Sephira had told him. He was sure they'd be able to get to the desert in less than a day if they hurried, but that seemed impossible with such a large group. Then he thought of when they were in the desert. Weeks, Sephira had said. In such a place with such a large group, they wouldn't survive 3 days. He sighed as he tried to think of what to do.
Elwood heard Sephira and smiled, the game seemed easy enough. He got to his feet and slowly began approaching the wolf and cheetah. Suddenly he broke out into a run and went directly for Star. He realized the animals were very fast, so this might be a little hard. Nia watched gleefully.Comment

Ea sighed. She'd checked all her arrows and her bow. Unfortunately, she had noticed the bow was beginning to deteriorate. The main curve had splintered ever so slightly, and the string was beginning to fray. She'd need to stop in the next city they passed through and at least buy new string. That was the second worst thing that could happen, if the string snapped. She heard them discussing their route, and walked over slowly. "Are we passing through any sort of town or village before we hit the... desert, you were deciding on?"So I'm back, or at least I will be eventually. Trying to reintegrate myself.
