    Sephira glanced at Ea. She bit her lip. "No, the only village near the desert is the Gerudo Fortress, and we already stocked up on supplies at Kakariko." Her skilled eye took in the bow, its frayed string and splintered bend. "If you like, I can try making a new bow for you. It's been awhile, but I believe I remember the skill fairly well." The string would be difficult, although she suspected she could figure something out. If nothing else, she could use the sinew of a deer when she went hunting. She have to get a large enough branch to match Ea's current arrows, and figure out how she was going to find the time to mold it into the bow shape. As she recalled, she had to soak it, but doing that on the road would be difficult. She chewed her lip as she thought, still working on Rose's hands.
    Star jumped away from Elwood and took off running. She was quick, of course, being a cheetah, but she wasn't really wanting to play. Midnight, on the other hand, barked happily and circled behind Elwood, waiting for the Kokiri to lose interest in chasing the faster Star and come after him. His tail was a blur as he wagged it happily.

      Elwood watched intently as Star escaped from him. She was definitely faster than Midnight, and he'd probably enjoy trying to catch her, but the barking behind him beckoned him. It was an invisible pull in his child's mind. Slowly he turned to face the wolf and without further thought broke out into a run. At the last second when he seemed just close enough to Midnight, he jumped, using the momentum from running as an impulse, and extended his fingers to touch the wolf.
      James put away the map and decided if they worried too much about the desert now, they would never get going. And get going they needed to do, if they wanted to be at the desert by nightfall. He turned to Gerrard, wondering if he would want to go with them to the new world. "Still want to know where we're going?" he asked.

        "are you totally sure going by the desert is safe" rose said, after sephira had finished fixing up her hands "espically if I'm going with you guys, and I am going with you guys. I don't want to be alone, espically after everything that has happened" rose bit her lip, starting to slightly panic.

          Sephira smiled and patted Rose's shoulder. "Yes, Rose. I'm absolutely certain the desert is safe. James, Midnight, Star, and I will protect you. And the path I've chosen won't take us near the Gerudo." She squeezed gently.
          Midnight yelped in surprise as Elwood jumped. He had been waiting for the boy to get closer before taking off. Elwood actually landed on him and the two were in a tangle of limbs. Star yowled with laughter as the two attempted to get up. So who's it now? It looks like either one of you could be!

            Gerrard stood there letting it all sink in, but then an idea came to his mind. He didn't want to interrupt though so he slowly walked up and stood near them until they noticed them. He stood there and looked at the map, trying to see what they were doing. He then spoke up and said "I hear you guys are going somewhere. Would you mind if I could tag along, I really have nothing to do." As Gerrard looked at them with hope he could not help to think of Leo, and what he was doing.

              rose still wasn't sure but she nodded anyway. she didn't feel comfortable going anywhere near the desert but I have to get away she thought there isn't anything here for me anymore, now that I lost Elliot

                Sephira raised an eyebrow at Gerrard. She didn't think he'd want to come, not after what she had just done to him. Din's fiery breath. what is wrong with him that he chases after me so fiercely as if I was a cub he wished to... her thoughts trailed off as she realized. Farore's wind! Does he have a crush on me? Merciful Goddesses, please no! She had a hard enough time warming up to James and letting him into her heart. She wasn't sure if she'd be able to do it for another person. She looked at James, making certain her emotional mask was in place. "What do you think? You want another one to baby-sit?"

                  James snapped out of his thoughts when Sephira asked him something. "What?" he looked around to see what was happening. He noticed Gerrard standing near them and the parts he was missing were filled in by his subconscious. "Um, I guess it's fine. For what I remember he can handle his own pretty well," he gave a half smile. "Besides, it's a hard travel, and if he's coming it's under his own risk." With that he turned to look at the Sun that was a constant reminder they needed to go.
                  Elwood laughed and tried to pull away. Finally he managed to slip his small body so that it wasn't touching Midnight anymore and nudged him with his hand one last time, just in case. "You're it!" he yelled as he tried to scramble away from the wolf as fast as his legs allowed.

                    Gerrard slightly grinned when he heard what James said. "I know what risk I am taking, I know that both of you either love to take risks or always run into them. I doubt you could go on a trip without some sort of risk." He said this in a joking manner trying to kinda lighten the mood.

                      Sephira snorted. "I'm the trouble-magnet. It's in my blood." She turned to Elwood and Midnight. The wolf shook himself after managing to get to his feet, then charged after the small Kokiri. She laughed softly, then called, "Star, Midnight, Elwood! Come on, we're going to be going soon." Then she turned to Gerrard. "If you're coming with us, I hope you have some supplies to make up for it." She stated it matter-of-factly, even though the words themselves were annoyed.

                        James gave a small laugh. "Well what kind of trip would it be without any fun, right?" he smiled. It felt like the old times, them joking around with danger as if it wasn't constantly stepping on their heels. Just the way he liked it. He heard something crunch a little in his bag, and he wondered what it could be, but decided to find out later.
                        Elwood kept looking behind him to see if Midnight was going to catch up, and kept looking around to make sure he wouldn't run over Star, when he heard Sephira calling. He stopped in place and pouted. "Awww, but it's still soooo early."

                          Ea was in thought. Her bow wouldn't last her another month, if she used it as she always had. She turned to this guy called James. "It would be a trip that no one would want to go on." She put her bow over her shoulder. "Now, let's round up the kid and the wild beasts-still not sure why they're with us- and get moving. Being around Gerudo Fortress in the dark is a position I don't want to be in."
                          So I'm back, or at least I will be eventually. Trying to reintegrate myself.
                          My 3DS Friend Code is 3437-3052-8998. I'm usually playing the MH4U demo or MH4U(When it comes out), but I'd also be down for 3DS Smash Bros.

                            Sephira laughed. "I know it is, Elwood. We want to get some ground covered before nightfall. Tell you what, if you two stay within earshot of our group, you can still run around and play. How does that sounds?"
                            Midnight wagged his tail with eagerness. Star, on the other hand, had moved to sit beside Sephira. She had heard what Ea said, and it had ruffled her fur the wrong way. The female Hylian spoke as if she and Midnight were worthless, unimportant. Star flicked her tail in wide arcs from side to side, annoyed at the lack of respect from this female. Didn't she know that it didn't take much for a cheetah to kill a human? She should be respectful, if she wanted to be respected.
                            Sephira, sensing Star's agitation, knelt next to the cheetah and started to rub her chest. "Calm down, girl," she murmered. "No use getting angry at her. Remember very few outside the forest think animals are more than pets or prey." She looked up at Ea. "We're not planning on going by Gerudo Fortress. We're wanting to circumvent it. My group is a little unwelcome with the Gerudo." She patted Star's shoulders, then stood. "Now let's get going. I'm tired of all these delays." She started off to the west, not even looking to see if the others were following her or not. Star followed at her heels, her tail held high.

                              Gerrard smiled at the small child, it gave him memories of his old village and his younger brother. He saw Sephira began to leave, he then looked side to side to see what everyone else was doing. After no more than a few seconds of thought he started following her, he was ready for this to get underway.

                                Ea, sighing, followed. "I wonder why you aren't welcome there?" She didn't make the slightest attempt at hiding the sarcasm in her voice. She took out her bow and inspected the string. She'd need a new one pretty soon.
