    A wicked smile was cast upon Kairu's face as he flashed it at Malina's advice. "Sir, well all respects, and I know this is early, but I wish to court your daughter. She has saved my life and I am obligated by Hylian tradition to do everything within my power to pay that debt back. However, I must contest that romance, by far, is my best ability. I feel that, with your permission, I will treat her right and with the utmost respect."

    Adriel was dumbfounded and to some degree, appalled. He felt that Kairu had no right to ask so soon to court Malina, however, he was also obligated to grant Kairu his rite of traditions. "I hope you do not disappoint. If I find out that you did not uphold to your word, then I will personally make sure that you will never see her again."

    Kairu smiled with glee, "Thank you Milord. This means a lot to me, and I will not disappoint you."

      Malina rolled her eyes. "Could have done without all the flowery speech," she muttered to herself. She started wondering why Kairu was so forward with her. He had only known her for an hour, if that. Sure, she had brought him back, but was there more to it than that? "Maybe the potion had something to do with it." She decided to check the book again when she got back to her chambers. Which would probably be soon. After all, she was still in her nightgrown, albiet mostly hidden by the cloak still wrapped around her. "If you two will excuse me," she said, "I really must make myself presentable for the day." She gave her father a small courtsy before heading to her room.

        Kairu also wished to be dismissed, using "I want to go explore around town." as an excuse. His real motive was to follow Malina. Being deeply infatuated, and a natural flirt, he wanted to have some private, alone time with her. 'Whatever she wants to do, I'll do it. Even if I don't get what I want,' he thought to himself. He must like her if he's willing to not be so selfish in the relationship.

          Malina quickly found the spell book in her room and turned to the page. She scanned the potion again, but it didn't say anything in it about side effect. She was about to slam the book shut in frustration when she say, in tiny print at the bottom, "May cause deep infatuation in opposite ***."
          "Great!" Malina said to the book. "Just great! Why couldn't you have told me that before I did it? Then I would have found some way around it." She sighed and replaced the book. She returned her cloak to her wardroube and pulled on her clothes before tackling her hair. She muttered under her breathe against her spell book as she yanked the brush through her knots.

            Kairu opened the door to Malina's room. He did it fairly quietly and he just stood next to the door he just closed. He watched Malina and simply smiled at how adorable she looked to him. "You're really beautiful," Kairu said softly still smiling.

              Malina jumped as she heard Kairu. "Great Nayru, don't you know to knock before entering a woman's room?" she scolded, setting her brush back down. "What if I hadn't been dressed? My father would have killed you." If I left him any, she thought. She hated anyone seeing her without clothes. That was why she didn't allow a servant to help her get dressed, or to attend her while she bathed.

                Kairu crept closer and embraced Malina, "Oh come on, don't think like that. I'm sure you wouldn't want to kill me. Especially after bringing me back to life. You wanted to do it for a reason. I'm sure, somewhere, deep down in your heart, you want someone to love you. Now I won't look when you change your wardrobe but I hope you know that you can trust me."

                  Malina squirmed uncomfortably. She wasn't used to being hugged by anyone other than Adriel. "I wanted to know who had killed you, that's all," she protested. "Your death during a truce could cause us to war with Hyrule. I had hoped by bringing you back, we could find out who really broke the ceasefire and stop the war from starting." She pulled herself from his arms and started to braid her hair up. "Come on, we should get you breakfast." She started to leave, still working on her braid.

                    "Wait!" Kairu exclaimed, "You want to know... who killed me? I vaguely remember, and I'm trying to remember. His name was Leonidas, Leo for short. I remember getting into an argument and he was dressed as someone in one of your uniforms. One of your people killed me."

                      Malina turned back to Kairu, frowning. "Leonidas..." she repeated, rolling the word on her tongue. "It doesn't sound familiar, but I'll ask my father. I'm still certain it wasn't one of ours who killed. I think he wanted this war, and framed us for it." She sighed and tied off her braid. "Politics," she said, "the one thing I'm not looking forward to when I take over."

                        Kairu sat there rather depressed at the thought. He knew there was more to it, but his mind couldn't get to it. The weight of the situation for Labrynna began to weigh him down. "Princess, I want to help. I want to help you fix this. You might think I'm just some man who you just met and is just trying to have some romance, but there's more to me than that. There's a heart in here, it just doesn't get the chance to shine," Kairu confessed to Malina, making straight eye contact to further validate his sincerity.

Secondly, do your best to remember exactly what this Leo person looked like, so we can find him. And thirdly, let's get breakfast before doing anything else. I'm hungry, and you must be starving."

                              Malina sighed, then walked over to her bookshelf. She found the spell book again and plopped it on the bed. "I'll see if I can find something that will help you remember. I warn you, though, it's probably not going to a good thing to remember your own death." She opened the book and started to slowly turn the pages, thoroughly scanning each one. "You can lighten up on the flirting thing, you know," she said, skimming a page on luck potions. "We're already courting, and I'm too young to really go further than that."
