    Malina stared at Kairu, stunned. "I did it," she said slowly. Then a grin spread across her face. "Yes!" she crowed. "I did it! I did it I did it I did it!" She was so pleased with herself and so relieved that the potion had actually worked, that she didn't even care how ridiculious she looked.
    Finally, she realized just how ridiculious she looked and forced herself to calm down, although the smile never left as she answered Kairu. "I am Malina, princess of Labrynna. You're in my palace because my father brought you from the battlefield to try getting you to recover. You probably can't move because you've been so still for so long. I'm sure once you get up and around, everything will work fine." She stood and extended a hand to him, to help him up. She hoped he wouldn't ask what exactly she had been so happy about, as she wasn't sure how the Hylians viewed magic.

      Kairu took Malina's hand. He managed to sit up right, his face sitting fairly close to hers, but still some distance between them. Suddenly, he grinned from ear to ear. Intentionally still holding on to her hand, he secretly hoped she wouldn't let go.

        Malina was surprised at just how close his face was to hers and felt herself blushing. She suddenly realized how messy her hair was, as she hadn't brushed it before hurrying down here. She was in her nightgown, too, which she never was around any man, except her father. She averted her gaze, trying to hide the blush as she asked kindly, "Do you think you can stand?" Daddy will probably be looking for me soon. I can't wait to see his expression when he realizes I brought Kairu back from the dead!

          Kairu tried to move his legs but he couldn't quite get them to function properly. "Could I get some help? I'm afraid I'm not fully able to move them yet." He continued to admire and adore Malina. 'Gosh, whoever this lady is, she sure is beautiful. One of the most beautiful women in all of Hyrule.'

            Malina knelt back down. She let go of Kairu's hand and put her arm under his shoulders. "Not sure how long I'll be able to support you," she warned, then stood, pulling the Hylian up with her. She grunted with the effort.

              Kairu gleefully tried to help and he could feel his legs starting to start moving correctly again. During the help Kairu felt compelled to ask, "Are you being courted? I sure hope not! A beautiful woman like you must surely have some men after you."

                Malina blushed feriously. "Well, I used to have a man courting me, but I don't know what happened to him. He just left after my dad went to war." She started to guide Kairu out of the dungeon. "You should meet my father. Baron Adriel will be pleased to see you up and around." And very proud of me when I tell him how I did it, she silently preened.

                  "Adriel...," Kairu mumbled trying to remember why that name sounded familiar. Kairu shook it off as nothing important and stopped. He held Malina's hand again to get her to stop with him. "Well Milady, with your permission, I would like to be the next man to court you," Kairu said sincerely, bowing to Malina with respect as she was, as she claims, a princess.

                    Malina stared at him. "Bu-but you don't know anything about me!" she sputtered. Is this how he is normally? Or did I miss something in the spell? "And you should be asking my father first. Or do you Hylians not have the same code of chivilary as us Labrynnans?" she added teasing.

                      "My fair Lady, I must say! The exploration of love is to better know and understand your partner. It's what makes the adventure worth it! As for your father, I would like to know that I will not be wasting my breath asking if you declined my offer," Kairu tried smooth talking some more. He felt he could make it work by grabbing her hand, which he did, and he kissed it politely and chivalrously.

                        Malina blushed again and carefully extracted her hand from Kairu's. "It won't make much of a difference if you ask me to court me, if my father refuses. I-if he does say yes, though, I'd be willing to try, I suppose," she said, feeling very ackward while doing so. She was certain her flushing face was visible in the semi-darkness and turned away. "Come on. We should go find him anyways." She lead the way, determined not to turn to look at the Hylian.

                          Adriel was talking to some of his advisors in the throne room. When he saw Malina walk in a smile spread across his face. He then saw Kairu, curiously poking his head into the room and looking around. Adriel's face flushed white because, to him, he was seeing a ghost. However, he could see that Kairu was flesh and bones, and looking rather healthy. He dismissed his advisors and looked at his daughter, "Malina, darling, mind explaining what's going on?"

                            Malina smiled. "I brought him back, Daddy. I made a potion that healed him." She stopped and looked up hopefully at her father. "Was that...okay?" Silently, she prayed he wouldn't condemn her for using magic.

                              Adriel felt a little mixed about this. He's not close-minded and forbidding to magic and the dark arts, but he hoped his daughter wouldn't experiment with the path. Nevertheless he felt that she has good intentions and that, this time, the ends justify the means. After all, the man was dead. "Malina.... I was hoping you wouldn't follow this track, but you're too much like our ancestors. Irregardless though, you did me, Kairu, and everyone else a great service today. And I thank you." Adriel then turned to Kairu, "I'm sure you have a lot of questions about what's going on, no?"

                              Kairu looked surprised. He vaguely remembered talking to Adriel back in the forest. He remembers his uniform so seeing him not in military uniform was different. "No Sir, I do not. However, I do have one question," Kairu replied trying to figure out how to word the question right.

                                Malina breathed a silent sigh of relief that her father hadn't condemned her. She was surprised that he hadn't asked where she had learned to do the magic, but she guessed he knew she liked to read. He must have deduced that she had learned from one of her many books.
                                She looked at Kairu when he said he had a question and frowned. "Oh Nayru," she sighed. "If you're really going to ask him that, just spit it out. It's not like he'll bite your head off or anything."
