*Shak and crew arrived at the Canyon*

Shak rode towards the canyon, an angry expession shown opon his face. As he neared the edge, he quickly got off the horse, and ran close to the edge. He eyed left and right, for his father. "Show yourselves, Rats!" Shak shouted. Shak wouldn't give up until he found his father. Shak started to breathe heavily, as he kept looking. Without a word, he ran to the side of the canyon, and slid down to a nearby ledge. He continued to search for his father, and began to get a worried expession on his face.

Eos stayed close to her prince. When she saw him becoming worried, she rode up to him and put a hand on his shoulder. Looking into his eyes to show sincerity, she said, "Don't worry so much Shak. I'm sure he's around somewhere. We'll find him, and no matter what, I'll be here for you."

Kali slid off the horse. Her violet eyes were now gold and her hair was red. She had also darkened her skin. These were attempts to mimic Eos, who Kali thought was really pretty. During the whole two-day long trip, Kali had changed her eyes and hair often, but only to her normal color when she slept. And she liked to sleep up in a tree, so no one ever saw her real colors.
Kali rubbed her legs. "Ow! Miss Jess, I'm sore!" she complained, her light voice chirping. She glanced over at the prince and immediatly forgot her soreness. "What's he going, Miss Jess? Wouldn't it be better to go find some locals and ask them where those other people are?"

    Summary before the downgrade

Lillian flew to the group, And told Shak about his fathers death. Shak was shocked, and began to yell about becoming king, and how he couldn't handle it. After some rambiling, Shak walked toward the edge, and dropped his old crown down the edge out of a rage. After realizing what he has done, he took the task of becoming king, and turned back to the group. He welcomed Lillain to the group, and appolagized to everyone after going through a rage.

    And then..........

Kali flipped her red hair to the side. "So what do we do now?" She was still not really sure what was going on, but judging by the grim expressions on everyone's faces, something bad had happened. She hoped it wasn't something that couldn't be undone, she hated seeing her friends upset.
The wolf howls his mournful song,
My heart beats as I listen to him.
It rises and falls as he speaks to the moon,
A chilling howl that fills me with joy.

The future isn't set in stone. Even if it was, stones can been broken.

Eos walked up to Shak and hugged him. While she was close, she whispered into his ear, "I'm so sorry. He's watching you now, and he will always be by your side as you rule this wonderful land. I'll be by your side as well. I'm here for you no matter what."

She tried to be as comforting as possible. Eos continued to stay close, hoping he wouldn't feel so alone. She knew she probably wouldn't be enough to ease his sadness right now, but Eos knew she had to try anyway.

Shak listened to what Eos said. He knew what she said was true. He hugged back, holding her tight. He lowered his head to her sholder, and practically collapsed into tears. He forgot about everything, and went to his own land. Filled with oceans and rain, no land. A light shown, and a figure representing his father apeared. The rain cleared up, and the waves became calm. He imaged himself, sitting in the throne. His head was still on Eos' sholder, but no more tears fell from his eyes. He thought about his father more, and how he was a great king. Still on Eos' sholder, Shak said "I can never live up to him...".

Endin walked slowly up the path towards a group of silhouettes. When he was close enough, Endin pressed up against a rock wall, being careful not to be seen. He faintly heard crying and looked, then saw a glint on the ground. A flick of his finger blew the sand off and his eyes widened. The black and gold ring wobbled up to his hand and he caught it. He flicked a lock of hair out of his eye and slid the king's seal into a pocket. A little more authority's always nice.

"You don't have to live up to him, Shak. You are your own person, and you can never be your father. I can promise you this though: you will make an amazing king. Your father will look down on you and be proud of what he sees." Eos still spoke in a quiet, steady, soothing voice. She ran her fingers through his hair, hoping that she was comforting him in some way.

Shak remained silent as Eos said this. When she finished, Shak felt much better. The storm clouds in his world blew away, and the ocean dried up, revealing a grassy plain, being baked by the sun. Back in reality, Shak brought his head close to Eos, and gave her a kiss. He pulled away, then hugged her tighter trying to tell her, he felt much better, with her by his side.

Endin nearly facepalmed. The king was dead and this was what he was doing? He stayed in the shadows for one second longer before stepping out to make his presence known. He walked up the path and knelt down on one knee in front of the king. "Sir Endin Alceus, my lord." He said stiffly.

Shak heard a voice behind him. He turned his head and saw someone kneeling to him. He quickly turned around, breaking the hug, and looked at Endin. "Endin," Shak said. "what do you want, we are fairly busy here." Shak looked at the person. He wanted to know what buisness he has. "Where did you come from anyway?" Shak asked the new guy.

"The islands." Endin said curtly, nodding a greeting to the rest of the group. "I'm here to made sure the group that killed your father doesn't get to you." He gave a calculated glance around, observing the others discreetly. The knight let his hand off the hilt of his knife, though it didn't stray far.

"Who said I needed help?" Shak barked. "We can do things perfectly on our own." Shak added. Shak turned back to the Canyon edge, and glanced over it. "Stay if you wish, just extra weight." Shak said, back to the group. Shak stared over the edge. His father most likely already decomposed. Shak nodded to the canyon, and turned back to the group. He turned back to Endin, and said "How can we fully trust you? You just come out of the shadows and say you are going to protect me?" Shak broke out. "How do we know your not one of the ones who killed my father?!"

"I meant no insult. As for trusting me, I'm the heir to the house of Alceus and your father knighted me before I was forced to leave the kingdom." Endin stood up and looked the king in the eye. 'He doesn't trust easily. Out here, that could save his life.' he thought, inwardly approving. "I've come to offer my services as a guard."

A crimson blur flashed away from the knight and into a tree. The knife quivered before he pulled it out and dropped the blade into a sheath in his boot. Endin gave a confidant half smile.

"So why were you forced to leave the kingdom?" Eos asked, warily. She didn't want to trust him immediately, especially after what happened to the king. Eos pulled herself to her full height, and she was glad her bow was already strung in case of emergency. This guy had good aim, but hers was better. Years of specialized Gerudo training had insured that.

"My father kicked people out of the kingdom many times. He usually has a good reason, but some times he does it for petty things. How can we trust you if you were exiled from the kingdom?" Shak added to Eos' question. People were quick to gain Shak's trust, but this guy was diffrent.

Since Eos saw that Shak definitely didn't trust this man, she removed her bow from her back so she would be able to attack even quicker if something were to go wrong. She focused on her potential target, watching his every move, monitoring his body language in case he were to try to lie. She would not let him hurt Shak.
