Jorah moved down the hall, crossing from her room to the kitchen. She smiled as she felt rocks grinding. With her ability, she could always sense when the castle was rearranging itself. It was her ability that led her to find the castle in the first place. It was well-hidden in the mountain range, and she thought she'd die of cold, when her senses picked up the shifting stone. Desperation had made her seek out the source, and there stood the large castle.
And here she was, more than fifteen years later, starting breakfast for her two ravenous sons. Helios, no doubt, had gone for his morning flight, probably hunting for elk as well. Ayberk would be sound asleep, and wouldn't rouse until she pounded on his door, telling him that breakfast was ready and that if he didn't get up, she'd give his portion to his brother. Jorah sighed contentedly. This life was much better than her old one in the forest. She often told her boys about her life under the large trees and enjoyed seeing their eyes light up with amazement at the possibility of a place that wasn't always cold, didn't always snow, and was filled with plants and animals, unlike these mountains where they lived now. However, she preferred living here, surrounded by stone, than in the place where she had killed her own partner.
Shaking her head, Jorah cast off the dark thoughts. "Never start the day negatively," she said cheerfully. "The day reflects the start. Bad start means a bad day, but think positively and the day will be cheerful." So saying, she bustled about the kitchen, preparing the eagle eggs Ayberk had found last night for breakfast.

"Agh!" Ayberk peeled his eyes open, his arm stinging a bit from something hitting him in his sleep. Then he found the culprit--a loose stone had dropped from the ceiling above his bed. He was agitated like always when woken up so suddenly, and whipped the rock at the wall. After calming down, he heard Jorah preparing breakfast downstairs and forced himself to leave his room, his Draco stomach grumbling. He wearily walked down the hall and a flight of stairs to get to the kitchen. "Morning."

Helios streched his wings, enjoying his flight. It was always so quiet and peacful in the mountains. Truthfully, this sometimes bored him, but exploring the castle was adventure enough for him. Helios breathed in the sweet air...and smelled somthing. Looking down, saw what it was: an elk. That, or a mountain goat, hell if he knew the difference, especially from this height. Staying downwind so it would not spy him, Helios flew lower and closer, then, taking careful aim, he dropped next and snapped its neck before it had time to run. "Mother should be pleased," he said, as he hoisted it over his shoulder and headed back toward the castle.

Helios alighted in front of the main doors, and opened them. "I'm home!" he yelled, before heading into the kitchen. "Morning, mother," He said to Jorah. "I found an elk. Or a mountain goat. I really can't tell the difference. I assume my lazy twin is still in bed?" He asked as he dropped the beast onto one of the counters.

Jorah glanced over as she heard someone entered and smiled as she saw her darker son. "Good morning, Ayberk. You're up early. Did you sleep alright?" She handed him a plate of food and a fork, then returned to the stove, not wanting to let the eggs burn.
Helios came in almost immediately after, starling her with his heavy tread and loud voice. Regardless, she smiled at him. "Good morning, Helios. That is a fine catch." She moved to the creature and frowned. "Can't tell the difference? After all the times I've told you?" She sighed. An elk is a type of deer, meaning it has a sleeker body than a goat, and much longer legs. Its face is longer, and its antlers are pronged, not curved. And no, he's at the table eating his breakfast," she added in answer to his question, gesturing to where Ayberk sat. "I keep telling you that you need to be more aware of your surroundings. No tunnel-vision, or you'll miss important details. Broaden your sights and you can solve anything." She smiled and handed him his breakfast. "And how was your flight? Refreshing?" Did you see anyone? she added privately. She hoped not. The castle was well-hidden, and she didn't like the thought of anyone approaching it.

"Quite refreshing," Helios replied. "And I don't really care what it is, as long as it tastes good." He said, rolling his eyes. "And I did not see anyone, not even my own brother." Helios took his plate and headed over to the table. "You are really unnoticeable, aren't you?" He said to his brother. "I never notice you. Now where did you go?" He said, barely hiding a laugh as he pretended to squint around for Ayberk.

"Yeah," Ayberk said shortly as his mother placed the food in front of him. Helios showed up as he took his first bites. Being the loud, brightly-scaled Draco he naturally is, everyone notices when Helios arrives. For Ayberk, it was pretty much the opposite, but he didn't mind that. He held in a grumble as his brother began speaking. He liked his brother a lot, but sometimes he couldn't stand how loud Helios had to be, especially in the mornings. Ayberk forced a fake little snicker towards his brother's joke. Sometimes Helios made funny jokes. Other times Ayberk just couldn't make sense of his humor. "Quiet down," Ayberk said, trying to somehow sound cheerful but not doing it very well. "Why do you even get up so early?" Ayberk had always been quick to sleep and slow to wake, another thing that made him and his twin brother opposites.

Jorah smiled at the pair's banter as she sat with her own breakfast. She let them go on for a little while more before getting down to business. "I felt the castle shifting in the northern wing. I didn't recognize the corridors that came up, and it feels like there's a few transport doors there as well. I thought we could go check them out after we've finished eating. I know how much you like the outside world." She smiled at Helios. She was perfectly content to remain in the castle for the rest of her life, and Ayberk always seemed to be of the same opinion. Helios, on the other hand, always asked her about the world beyond the castle, and he loved it when they found a door leading somewhere else. There were even times she worried he'd go out a door on his own and not come back. She trusted he'd do the right thing, though, whether it was leave or stay. And he'd better write often if he did leave.
After they had finished, Jorah sealed the mountain goat in a small stone chamber she had made just outside the kitchen, so she could skin and gut it properly later. Dishes were washed and returned to the cupboard, then she led the way to the new corridors, after allowing everyone a brief stop by their rooms in case they wanted to grab parchment and pens, or anything along those lines.

After eating breakfast, Ayberk stopped by his room only to grab his sword in case he needed it. Usually he didn't expect to be facing monsters when he explored the castle. He slid the silver sword into a sheath down his back as he walked back to his mother. As much as they explored the castle, he was excited to do it again. Every time they did it, they uncovered new secrets, and every adventure was different.

Helios finished his breakfast, then ran to his room, where he strapped his sword to his back. He ran back to where Jorah and Ayberk were. "Alright, I'm ready to go whenever," He said.

(yeah, that sucked. HBC is supposed to actually get us going.)

(Sorry I hadn't given you guys much to reply to last post. Hopefully this will give you a bit more.)

Jorah had grabbed her book bag with its supply of parchment, charcoal sticks, lantern and oil, and a small knife to make cut into the mortar. It made it easier to navigate when she could sense where the cuts were, especially when she made a specific shape or character. This also made it easier to track how the castle was shifting itself. They'd figure out what pattern it used one day!
She met back up with her sons and led the way through the castle. With her senses fully opened, she could sense where every stone in the walls around them was, and when they moved someone else. She sensed when a wall was about to close in front of them, or another one opened up. With this ability, she was able to led the way to the corridors she had wanted to look at. These corridors, as usual with new passageways, were dusty and filled with rubble. Patches of the wall were missing, yet somehow never showed any of the outside. Sunlight streamed through windows, although they would change their position often. Sometimes there'd only be one window, other times there could be as many as two dozen along a hallway. "Time to get to work, boys," Jorah said, starting to repair the walls with her gifts.

(You guys can post whatever in your next posts. I'll take us to a transport door in my next.)

Ayberk looked around the hall and something in the wall caught his eye. It was on the side of the hall without windows, so it was probably connected to the rest of the castle. A stone in the wall was crooked, different from the rest of the wall, and something about it irritated Ayberk so he went over to push it back in place. He knew there was something up with this stone from the start, and he wasn't too surprised when he found that something blocked it from being pushed all the way in, of course it did excite him. He pulled the stone completely out of the wall and looked at what it hid. What had prevented the stone from being pushed neatly in place was a doorknob, jutting out from the wall. "Hey, look at this," Ayberk said as he set the stone on the ground. He put his hands on a stone next to it and sure enough it also came out with ease, revealing more of a wooden door.

Jorah came over as she heard her son's call. He had pulled some stones from the wall, revealing a door. She frowned at it. She hadn't noticed its presence earlier, which meant there wasn't a room beyond it. "Stand back, Ayberk," she told him, then used her ability to shift the rest of the blockage from the door. "Good job, Ayberk, you found another transport door." She patted his arm, unable to reach his shoulder. "Do you want to go ahead through it?"

(How about that's the bar that we had been discussing awhile back that would be fun? :P)

                          (Let's do it )

Ayberk listened to Jorah and stepped away from the door, watching the rest of the stones covering it fall to the floor. When she offered him to go through the door first, he felt a bit worried. For all they knew, the door could land them on a pirate ship, or worse. But he also didn't really like waiting to see what was on the other side.
"Alright," Ayberk muttered and walked forwards, twisting the doorknob. He slid the door open slowly to peek inside. It was a pretty loud place, the opposite of their silent castle in the mountains. It looked like a bar, and judging from the many people inside, it was within one of Logata's eastern towns. Ayberk didn't exactly like the looks of the place but opened the door further and stood back to let one of the others go in first. Staying outside, he watched the inside of the bar. Nobody seemed to notice them. But Ayberk suddenly closed the opening of the door a bit just in time to stop a glass bottle soaring across the room. He heard it shatter on the other side of the wood. "Someone else can go in first, if you really want to."

Helios rolled his eyes. "You're such a coward, Ayberk. You need to start getting out more," He said, pushing past his brother, opening the door and walking in, completely oblivious to the fight around him. "See? Nothing will go wr-" Helios stopped abruptly as another bottle smashed into his face. Face darkening, Helios grabbed a nearby chair and hurled in the general direction the bottle had come from, before joining the fight with gusto.

Jorah smiled as Ayberk hurriedly closed the door, then frowned as she heard glass shatter against it. Breaking glass was never a good sign, always indicating a disaster of some sort. She was about to tell her son to close the door completely when Helios stepped forward and opened the door completely. He entered the room, in the middle of a large, out of control bar fight. He turned back to assure his family of the safeness of the place when someone hit him with a bottle. His face darkened as he drew his sword with a sinister hiss and the entire bar seemed to fall silent. Jorah sighed as he set to work extracting his immediate revenge from whoever it was that had attacked him, which, since he didn't know who it was, meant everyone. "Why must he be so reckless?" she asked Ayberk. She then strode into the room, grabbed her son by the ear, and shook him. "Helios, how many times must I tell you, look before you enter a transport door!" She started pulling him back towards the door, scolding him all the while. No doubt they made an unusual picture, the short, slightly chubby woman, pulling along the tall and powerful dragon-like man by his ear.
