Tyra expertly steered her little ship into the harbor, pulling up alongside one of the many docks. "Hawk! Take a line and bring 'er in!" As the Rito flew to the dock and swiftly tied the mooring line to the dock, Tyra split up the treasure from their raid and gave everyone their dividend. "Beaver, take Sparrow and stock up on our supplies. Enough for two months' rations, more if you think you can make it last. Hawk, go into town, listen to the rumors. I want to know what's been going on while we were at sea. Wolf, go buy the supplies you need to make more of those mini-cannons. Make sure to note the price of everything so I can reimburse you." She tucked her own purse on her belt and moved to the docker's office, to pay the toll required for docking her ship.

(Sorry for the delay, everyone. Hopefully, I'll be much more active on this than I have been.
Anyone who wants to join in our crew may approach one of the current members and ask, in whatever fashion you choose, to join. Each will be 'interviewed' by Tyra, meaning they'll be asked what skills they can bring to the crew. I reserve the right to accept or decline crew members, although you will most likely be accepted. I would like to set sail for Termina by the end of June, unless someone requests we remain in Falconmill for a while longer.)

Jasin looked over a small list he had made up. He'd need iron, and a fair amount of it, as well as some kind of mold or something to cast it into. What the mold would be made out of, he had no clue whatsoever. He walked up to a smith, hammering away at what looked to be the makings of a sword. He strolled up casually, noticing that this was obviously an inexperienced smith. "You'll want to keep the metal hot while you hammer it. It shapes more easily."(Note: I don't know if this is true, I just wanted to put that in.) The smith looked up at him, startled. He was a young man, barely into his thirties, with little more than a shadow of facial hair. "Can I help you with something?"
"I just need some iron. Ingots, preferably. I'm also wondering if you have any sort of material to make molds out of."
"I've got some ingots. What do you need them for?"
"That's for me to know and you to find out." He pulled out a sack of rupees, shaking them in his hand. "So what you got?"

Jasin lugged the admittedly heavy sack, with a solid five to six ingots, over his shoulder. He looked at a few of the businesses here, wondering if there was anything worth stopping at. An armory, but he had everything he needed. An apocerathy, which was a complete load of hocum if you asked him, and a fletcher. He had barely noticed it when a man, blonde, almost his age, ran into him. He had a bow on his back and a quiver at his waist.

    Oh. An archer. Whoopee.

He grabbed his shoulder. This guy was a bit shorter than him, but looked him square in the eye. He had a fire in his eyes, a kind of spirit. Still, he seemed like a bit of a jerk. Jasin stared him down. "Exactly who do you think you are?"
The man broke away from his grasp. "Deann. And who do you think you are?"
"Jasin Raerin, Man-At-Arms of the Whi-" He caught himself. He didn't adapt to these name changes well. "Sea Queen."
"Sea Queen, eh? You're one of them sailor types. Heh, I might have to check that out." Jasin scoffed as the man hurriedly walked off, taking a corner and vanishing from sight. That guy seemed a little full of himself, and Jasin hoped to the gods that he didn't try to join up.

Deann, on the other hand, was making a bee-line for the docks. He had grown tired of Logata. He'd realized the fight against Rhykim was anything but reasonable. Maybe a ship would give him a new outlook on life, let him cool off a bit, get him some money. He arrived at the docks, looking for the "Sea Queen".
So I'm back, or at least I will be eventually. Trying to reintegrate myself.

Felix waited until Tyra had finished handing out tasks to everyone before nodding at following his. He pulled Corin along as he stepped off the ship and hurried to the market. It felt good to be back on firm land after being out at sea for so long. Yet, he knew it'd be a matter of time before they were sailing away once more, and he was glad for that. His true passion would always lie on the waves towards the horizon. Returning his mind to the task at hand, and making sure Corin was still following, he began making a mental checklist of everything they'd need. Vegetables, fruits, meats... dairies could be a problem on a two-month long trip, so we shouldn't get too much milk. What else... Oh yes, I'm running low on some spices...
Strolling through the different stands in the Coastal Market, he realized he was close to the Fruit Stand. Fruit wouldn't last too long either, but it'd do them good for at least a week, maybe two if he picked the right fruit. Coming closer, he began inspecting the different goods on sale, his sense of smell acting up.

After paying the fee for docking her ship, Tyra strolled the piers, listening to gossip. She'd get better news from Zaria, especially if the Rito went into any taverns, but she could still learn quite a bit here. For example, there seemed to be some controversy between "Imperator" Rhykim, as he was calling himself, and his two generals, the Stari twins Nyx and Amaya. There were quite a few rumors as to what caused it, but the two Stari had been overheard discussing the possibility of desertion. Tyra found this interesting news, and wondered if the trio's separation across the country had anything to do with it.
As she was returning to the Sea Queen, a beggar, of which there were many, called out to her. "Tyronica? Is that you?"
She turned, her heart freezing with dread. The man was scrawny and filthy, but it was obvious he used to be a rich merchant. His hair was long and greasy, with many grey streaks, but it still had its light brown cast. Bright blue eyes stared up her, their familiarity stirring her rage. "Father. How you have fallen."
The old man gave a hoarse chuckle. "How you have grown, Tyronica. A captain of your own ship, eh?" She covered the gold pin on her chest. He coughed out another chuckle. "Ah, Tyronica. I knew you'd be special. So what wares do you deal in? Knowing your brother, it would be music-related, right?"
"Yes, Father," she answered, her lips drawing back in a sadistic smile. "We deal in the music of battle, and sell in blood."
Horror broke over the old man's wizened features. "Tyronica, how could-"
"I had no choice!" she spat. "After you left me and Corin to fend for ourselves, I hired myself out to a mercenary. I learned the craft well and taught it to my brother. Now Corin and I command one of the most feared vessels on the seas. You remember it, don't you Daddy. After all, White Wolf helped drive your business into the ground."
As the man stared up at her, sputtering for a response, she straightened her coat, as if they were having a normal conversation. "Of course, Rhykim is the one who completely destroyed your fleet, isn't he. He has my gratitude. Now you'll finally understand how Corin and I felt when you abandoned us to your trade after Mother died." She pulled a coin from her purse and flicked it to him, He flinched, causing her to laugh. "Oh don't worry. That one was earned protecting one of your rivals from pirates. It'll keep you from starving to death for a while. Even you don't deserve that." She turned and continued to where her ship sat in the water, leaving behind the one man she hated to die a beggar's death.

Corin quickly followed behind Felix to the market. He adjusted to the land easily because of all the times he had switched from sea to land in the past few years. "We shouldn't have to spend much money on meat unless you don't want to be living on fish the whole trip," Corin reminded Felix, unsure of how long the trip would be. He had to admit, he always got sick of seafood if they ate it too many days in a row. While Felix walked over to the fruit stand, Corin stopped by a vegetable stand. Realizing he forgot his money on the boat, he swiped a good amount of corn and quickly dropped it into his food bag. The market was busy enough that nobody was paying attention to him. On his way away from the stand he also snagged some lettuce. He brought his veggie loot to Felix back at another stall. "How's this?" he asked, letting the chef look in his bag. It probably wouldn't be enough for the whole voyage, but he guessed that they would go bad by the end anyways.

Zaria wandered Falconmill, stumbling every now and then from the loose cobblestone paths and her own bad coordination on land. Captain's orders said to listen to gossip, so she stayed Earthbound. Aside from the mutterings of Rhykim's looming presence, there wasn't much any talk that would benefit the crew. Ducking into a tavern, Zaria sat at a bar close to other sailors and listened to their stories of the seas. Her feet were already killing her, and she silently chastised herself for not walking so much.
"I'm telling you, it's like his fleet came out of nowhere!" one sailor gestured wildly, his accent thick. "One minute we're sailing calmly to Falconmill, and the next Rhykim's ship is right on top of us!"
"This is news." Zaria leaned a little closer to hear better.
"Did you actually see Rhykim?" a second sailor asked.
The first shook his head. "Well, no. But I'm positive it was one of Rhykim's army!"
"What did he want?" asked the bartender, drawn in by the story.
"His crew boarded my ship and looked around, but they didn't do much but scare the crew. They decided we weren't worth their time and left." he sighed. "If we were any sort of competition, we would of been toast."
Zaria stood and left, she'd heard enough. The bartender called after her, asking if she had wanted a drink. "No thank you, I just needed a rest!" she called back. It wasn't a lie, but it wasn't the full truth. She began making her way back to the Sea Queen, planning to drop off this information to Tyra before heading back into town. Judging by the whispers she'd heard from everybody else, Rhykim was the talk of the town.

After Felix had gotten a hold on all the fruits around, he was plenty satisfied with the variety. He turned around to inspect the vegetables Corin had brought over and quickly approved of his selection. He also accepted the comment on the meat. If there was one thing he wasn't all too fancy of, it was eating fish for more than two weeks in a row. He moved around the market with ease, making sure to slip around people so that he wouldn't knock the things from their hands. In the minutes that followed he made sure to gather the remaining victuals needed for their awaiting voyage, he headed over to where he could buy some rum. It was one of their main goals in this market. After all they needed plenty since the water would eventually become rancid. He bargained a while with the shopkeeper and finally exited the shop with a couple of carts that could carry everything they'd gotten so far, plus the four new barrels of rum. He looked over the large amounts of apples, oranges and other citrus fruits, and potatoes. Once pleased with his anti-scurvy arrangement he felt like they had everything they needed. He pushed one of the carts to Corin and then moved the other one himself. "Come on, let's head back," he said, making his way through the crowd. This time, seeing the large carts they pushed, the people parted in front of them so that they passed without any trouble.

Corin pushed his cart along behind Felix, making their way back to the ship. As the crowd ahead cleared the way, he wondered if they looked suspicious at all with this much supplies. It was certainly a much bigger bundle than what anyone else carried. Back at the White Wolf, Corin was naturally a bit worn out from the weight, but went on to help Felix load everything on board without hesitation. He could not wait to get going on this adventure, even though he wasn't completely sure of what they were getting themselves into yet.

Tyra smiled as she watched her crew slowly return to the ship. Corin and Felix had brought a good deal of supplies, and she eagerly awaited the new culinary delights her 'slave' would be turning out. Zaria had reported to her immediately upon her return, telling the captain everything of note. It amused her to hear that Rhykim had been intimidating other crews. "Like to see him try that on my crew," she laughed.
She leaned back against her ship's railing, watching the dock expectantly. Jasin still needed to return with his purchases, to start making the mini-cannons. She had also raised the white flag with a blue fist emblem that indicated they were hiring additional hands. She had decided to do this after everyone had already left the ship, so she wouldn't be surprised if anyone came to pose a question or objection. Unless someone did, though, she'd keep her reasons to herself. After all, they were obvious, right?

Jasin lugged his bag back to the White Wolf. He thought to himself that he should perhaps start calling it the Sea Queen, at least for now. But no matter. He saw the flag denoting that they were accepting crew members and slowly walked up to the deck. The man from before, the archer, bustled past him, but they got on to the deck at the same time. Deann surveyed around, and saw a woman leaning against the side of the ship. He walked up to her. "You wouldn't happen to know where the captain is, would you?"

Jasin, meanwhile, rolled his eyes and grumbled about the sort of things that one grumbles about when someone they do not like invades their workplace. He hoped nobody overheard the slightly unfounded string of curses he spoke, but nonetheless, he lugged his supplies down to his quarters. He still wasn't sure what he'd do but at least he had the tools.

Tyra looked lazily at the man standing before her. He was smaller than herself, although most people were. He was a bit scrawny to want to be hired out on a ship, too. After all, sailors are large, muscular men and women. He was well-armed, though, and where they were going, who knew what sort of hostiles they'd encounter. An archer would be a fine addition to the crew.
"That would be me," she said in a lazy tone, finally breaking the silence between them. "Captain Tyronica Vian of the Wh- Sea Queen." She mentally chided herself as her beloved ship's true name nearly slipped out. "What business have you with me? We are about to depart so if you're looking to hire us, you'll have to look for another ship. Might I suggest StormFury over there? She's a fine ship with an elegant stride." She lazily gestured to one of the sleeker ships in the harbor. It wasn't a mercenary ship like White Wolf, but an escort ship. Her crew's only job was to protect merchant ships from pirates. She had worked with StormFury on a few occasions, and against it on others. She respected the crew and decided that they'd be an excellent ship to refer this archer to, if he wasn't here to join her crew.
She yawned widely, barely making the polite gesture of covering her mouth as she did so. "So be on your way, good sir. I need to prepare my crew for departure, make sure my cook bought enough vittles, send my first mate to buy new ropes for the sails. Captain things, you understand." She gave a vague shooing gesture, then leaned back even more against the railing and closed her eyes, as if she had all the time in the world to get to her tasks. Let's see what sort of temperament he has.

Zaria snickered and sat cross legged on one of the barrels on the dock. "Tyra, your mouth is going to get us in a bit of trouble one of these days." she looked the new guy up and down, then laughed a bit more. "But not today! You can take him!" Her face split into a grin and she slid down from the barrel knives jingling a little. She clapped a hand on Tyra's shoulder. "You're one of the strongest gals I know, you know that?"

Felix brushed his hair back with his hand. He had just finished stacking all of the goods in their corresponding places, including the barrels, and he had now come back on deck to catch his breath. "Thanks for the help," he told Corin, nodding at him before taking another gulp at the fresh water he was holding. He hadn't gotten much sleep lately and for that his eyes were drooping a little. Still, he remained sitting there and watched as the girls bullied the newcomer. Of course, it was nothing serious. Most likely the newcomer was wanting to get a job. Although, he didn't look like he could do much. Felix was aware he didn't look too much like that either, but hey, at least he could cook.

Corin walked back out to the deck with Felix after loading the last crates. "No problem," he replied, and walked over to the side of the ship, peering out towards where he thought this strange new land would be. He had never seen land that didn't belong to Logata before, nor had he ever heard of this foreign land. How did they know they weren't being lead to something that didn't really exist? The crew they got the maps from could give false information... he stopped thinking about it. There had to be something out there--there's no way you could sail forever in the same direction to find nothing but water. They would also be able to tell if they were going the right way if they saw other ships headed that way. Corin figured that they would be racing Rhykim's navy if the maps were correct.

Deann tried to keep his cool. He had to stay calm if he wanted a paying job. "Actually, I was hoping to join your crew. You can always use somebody watching your back, I'm strong enough to do some of the dirty work, and I can bake fairly well. There's some, more, personal reasons, but mostly I'm sick of this rock." He gave a passing glance to one of those bird people mocking him. He didn't care for bird people, or being mocked.
