    Zulo followed Amaya with disgust at all the Stari and their Logatan "leader." He believed just what Jenna did; that the Stari were just followers of the man because they were scared. They couldn't truly love a guy like him. Zulo looked back to his past and realized that he had never met someone so annoying, and somehow, he almost wanted to go home. Or the forest. Or anywhere but this place. Maybe the leader just hadn't gotten enough sleep the night before and was in a bad mood, although Zulo had never seen anyone so grumpy. And if the guy had killed the King of Logata, it was probably what he was normally like. Zulo somehow chuckled. He found it kind of funny how extreme they were taking things. It was like they automatically could read his mind and tell he was lying. But that's impossible, or so Zulo thought.
    "Get well soon," Zulo's voice automatically jumped from his lips. He didn't even try to say it, it just automatically came out,. He supposed it was true though, that he wished the man would change his ways someday soon. But it seemed impossible.

      "your trying to scare me aren't you" Jenna said, smilingly sweetly at the girl "you know, I've never been really scared of anyone in my life, and I'm a witch, my kind are hunted. so I really should be scared of people. and as for the diffrence between logatians and humans, it's as stupid as saying someone is a diffrenet race other then human because there skin colour is diffrent. so what if you guys have a weird gentic birth defect that gives you pointed ears, other then that your compleatly human"

        Rhykim was now getting irritated with the debate between Amaya and Jenna. "Enough of this! The girl leaves now or I'll lock her in the dungeons for the rest of her life as a prisoner of war!"

          "you know, imprisoning only makes sense if I'm an enemy or someone important" Jenna said, rounding on rhykim "I'm neither of those things, I'm too feared to be an enemy, no one would want me on there side, and I'm a witch, far from important to society in any shape or form. really you would be just wasting a cell"

            "Your arrogance is laughable. Ok, if you feel that a prison cell isn't worth your time, how about I have General Amaya here fulfill her insatiable thirst for killing? I have no problem letting her do away with you. I'm sure she'd have a lot of 'fun' before your.... untimely death," Rhykim said mockingly.

              Amaya grinned at Rhykim. "I'd love to." Her hand reached for her water skin, ready to unstopper it and deal a lot of pain to this girl who dared anger her master. And a lot of pain she could do, even though water could heal. It was a dangerous element to have against you.

              Layla, however, had a different idea. She turned to Rhykim. "Perhaps a witch wouldn't be a bad idea as an ally, My Lord? After all, you have Stari backing you willingly. I am sure that there will some among them who could teach her of the knowledge she lacks." She had already entered Jenna's mind and learned the gap in the girl's knowledge, but the strength she had to make up for it.

                "arrogence?" jenna said, confused "how am i being arrogent, i said that it would be worse for YOU if you put me in a cell because i would just take up room" she was busy telling off the guy when the girls words finally entered her mind "wait wait wait, hold up, how did you know that i lack the knowladge of magic, or at least, the stonger ones. i never once said i didnt finish my training"

                  Layla smiled behind her mask. "I know many things, young one. I know that your mother died before you could learn all the witch symbols in the book you carry. I know that she was burned as a witch, and that you watched it. I know that you have struggled to understand the symbols, but they are unclear to you. I know that you have had to fight off men, but the people fear you now for the way you deterred them. I know the one man you turned into a lizard, the other you liquified. I know that you cried after you accidentally crushed a man's skull in, but you have grown stronger from it. The question really is, what are you willing to give to grow into your full power?"

                      "I know," Layla murmered, moving closer to the girl. "I know all the painful things you have done. I cannot tell you how to undo them, but I am certain there are Stari able to finish your teaching. I am certain that they will do so, if Lord Rhykim their leader requests it. I am certain he is willing to negotiate a fair price for your schooling." She knelt next to the young witch and put a hand on her shoulder. "If he does not, I will help you find a Stari and help you convince him or her to teach you without Rhykim's request," she whispered.

                        Rhykim snarled at the conversation. "Seer, please take your friend out of here. We still have business to discuss." Although Rhykim wanted to be free from Nexus, more than anything, he still wanted to go with the plan of invading this continent. Suddenly, a messenger came through the doors. "Imperator!..." the messenger said, gasping on for air, "I have.... news... you might want.... to hear..." he splurged still trying to get his breathing under control. Rhykim turned to him, intrigued. "When you can breath, you may speak," Rhykim said granting the messenger permission to deliver his message.

                          Xeonph sighed. For the fifth time, he took out his sword and looked at it, still extremely bored. Once again, it looked fine. He got up and streched from the stone he had been sitting on.

                          What's taking Rhykim so long? He told me about some sort of intelligence mission and now he's up and gone. Figures. No one pays attention to a young Draco.
                          So I'm back, or at least I will be eventually. Trying to reintegrate myself.

                            Layla sighed and stood. "I was trying to earn you a powerful ally," she whispered, so softly not even Jenna, right in front of her, could hear. "But if you will not take her, perhaps I can use it." She took Jenna's hand. "Come on, dear. If Lord Rhykim has no interest in you, I will keep my promise." She lead the girl out.

                            Amaya's attention was arrested by the arrival of the messenger. She wanted to wring man until he delivered the message, but she knew that Master Rhykim would scold her for it. So instead, she popped open her skin and drew out a handful of water. She held it out to the man. "Drink," she ordered.

                              Jenna smiled joyfully "thank you" she said as she let the girl lead her out of the castle "I can't believe I might finally be able to finish my training..... I just wish my mother could be here." Jenna saddened, as thoughts of her mother filled her head. her mother had been a wonderful joy filled person, who had never wanted to hurt anyone. one day she thought one day I'll be strong enough to preform that spell

                                "Wait," Zulo quietly grunted as Jenna was led out of the castle by Layla. He began walking over towards them, but figured he would really just be running away from the castle and not find them, so he had to stay in the clutches of this room he hated so much. Amaya was now occupied with the messenger, waiting for him to speak, so Zulo got really impatient. He looked up at the smashed window, feeling the same feeling he had for the past few minutes. Hatred. But not towards the tyrant, or the stari, or the one who left with Jenna. In fact he liked Jenna leaving. He was mad at Jenna for getting him into this mess. He considered flying out the window but pushed it away, as he feared the tyrant killing him, but he did feel a sudden eagerness to hear the message. He knew it had nothing to do with him, but he wanted to know what kinds of messages they got here. Zulo walked over to the wall and sat down, leaning against it, watching the messenger.
