So I'm back, or at least I will be eventually. Trying to reintegrate myself.

Luna snarled at the Draco for interrupting such important matters. Nyx rolled her eyes at him before returning her attention back to Layla. "Do you know what he needs?" she asked. She was nervous about seeing him again after what happened. She did not want to let him down by leaving him, but she also did not want to be ruled by a master she did not choose.Comment

Layla nodded. "He needs your help. The Nexus has attacked him psychically, and he asked me to fetch you to him." She bowed again. "Shall I lead you to him?"
Amaya looked at the Draco. "Yeah. This thing called Nexus? It's decided to call itself Master Rhykim's master. And he seems to be willing to serve it." She looked at the masked Stari. Ranger backed into the shadows while the others talked and engaged Dara in conversation. After all, he was Nyx's Field Commander, but that's all he was. There was no need for him to engage in the issues of higher class. Besides, thinking of this "Nexus" made him uneasy, as though the thing was secretly watching their every move. He decided not to mention it, so for now he simply spoke with Dara.Comment

Finally acknowledging the Draco's presence, Nyx said, sounding annoyed, "Yes, that's how we all feel." She turned back to Layla. "Yes, please take me to him. Amaya, will you come with me? I know we do not want to serve this thing, but maybe Rhykim has changed his mind about his new master, like you said. If he forsakes this thing, I don't see a reason why we should leave him, do you?"
As she spoke, she noticed Ranger backing away. She felt a pang of regret for not involving him more in the conversation, but she pushed it aside as she smiled warmly at him and mouthed, "I'll come back to see you as soon as I can." Nyx hated leaving him so soon, but she knew these were extremely important matters.Comment

Amaya grinned in agreement to thr Draco's statement. "Hear, hear, Draco." She then turned to Nyx. "Might as well. Lead us on, Sun daughter. What's your name anyways?"

Nyx followed Serino, with Luna trailing close behind. "I don't like this at all," she whispered to her cheetah. Luna growled low in agreement. Nyx took a deep breath to steady herself before facing Rhykim.Comment

Solar tagged along behind Amaya as she followed behind her twin. "I wonder what exactly is going on?" she muttered to the cheetah. He shook himself, clearly not caring, and Amaya laughed. "Typical male, aren't you," she said, reaching down to rub his ears.
Layla had difficulty finding her way back to the room she had left Rhykim. She had to open her mind and read several of the minds near-by to determine her position. She eventually found the room, though, and immediately entered Rhykim's mind, ignoring the Rito and witch in the room. Nyx entered the room behind Layla, and couldn't see Rhykim from where she was standing. Part of her was almost afraid to. She was so angry at him for serving the Nexus so readily, that she didn't want to look at him. Instead, she glanced first at Luna, who looked back up at Nyx with the same look of concern in her eyes that Nyx knew she must be giving Luna at that moment.Comment

Rhykim could hear the females' voices echoing. However, still being unconscious, he vouldn't let them know he was acknowledging them. He then saw the image of Layla in his mind again. She spoke to him, but his image was nearly faded. He tried to speak, but with the fading, his voice had now disappeared as well. He wanted to cry from the fear but this disappearing effect was also blocking his image from displaying any emotion other than fear.Last edited by Kairu; 04-25-2012, 07:35 PM.sigpic

Amaya glared at the witch. "What do you think you're doing in here?" she asked, putting her hands on her hips. She shot a glare at the black-colored Rito, to let him know that she was angry with him as well.
Layla was surprised by the fear she felt in Rhykim's mind, and how faded it felt. Quickly, she reached her mind to Amaya and Nyx. She grabbed them and pulled them with her back to Rhykim's mind. "Give him some of your energy," she ordered them. She started sending some of her own energy to Rhykim, hoping it would strengthen him. When Layla pulled her over to Rhykim, Nyx finally saw the state he was in. Knowing now was not the best time for questions, she did as she was told. Little jolts of electricity jumped between her fingertips as she let the energy inside flow freely through her, ready for the taking. Besides, she thought, how can I tell Rhykim off if he isn't even consious? Deep inside though, she just wanted him okay. After seeing him in this state, she didn't feel angry anymore. She just wanted to save him any way she can. Besides Amaya, Rhykim had been her best friend.
"Luna, come here and offer your energy too, if you will," Nyx said to her cheetah partner. Knowing the seriousness of the situation, Luna stepped beside Nyx and opened up herself to the energy harvesting as well. She shot a quick, worried glance at Rhykim before returning her unwavering gaze to Layla.Comment

Layla almost missed the conversation between Nyx and her cheetah, but the closeness of their minds told her. She felt the cheetah's willingness to offer energy and hastily, she grabbed its mind and brought it to Rhykim's so it could offer the energy. She was careful to monitor the energy sent to Rhykim, and made certain that it wasn't a lot at once. She didn't want to know what happened if too much energy was forced into a mind at once. The thought alone gave her an uneasy feeling.
Amaya almost fought when she felt her mind removed from her body, the feeling was so foreign. Then she saw the state of Rhykim. Without thinking, she poured her energy into him. All the strength she used to control water, the healing element, she poured into him. She was still tired from the battle, but she forced herself to ignore it. She might not like Nexus, but Master Rhykim was her closest friend after her twin. Nyx felt her energy leaving her, which made her feel a little dizzy. She wondered how much it would take to save him, but she knew she would do whatever it took to save him. The dizziness started to increase, but she shook it off.Comment
