Ranger sighed happily for they had won. He hadn't been there when Rhykim claimed the throne, instead had been making sure his archers finished the job. Of course, word had spread quickly enough throughout the castle and as soon as he'd heard, he had ordered the warriors to take anyone left alive inside for Rhykim to deal with them as he pleased. Then he had rested against the wall, going over the fight in his mind. Finally he decided he would look for Nyx. He got up and began walking the castle in search of the Infirmary, which with Dara's help he would find easily. It would be worst case scenario, her being in there, but he had to start somewhere. Luckily, he didn't get as far as the Infirmary itself, since he saw Nyx walking just outside of it. Actually, he saw two similar looking Nyxs. For a moment he stood there, awestruck. Then he remembered something from back in the forest a long time ago. Nyx had a twin sister. Someone who's name escaped his mind at the moment. Also luckily, he remembered what clothes Nyx had been wearing before, and the style of her hair. Both were different to her twin's. After a quick exchange of words with the cheetah, they walked forward towards the girls. Amaya nodded and followed her twin to the castle. Solar walked beside her, clearly upset. The cheetah did not like this at all, and Amaya understood his reasons. She hated to have to be uprooted as well, but she was not going to serve a slime ball, whose only quality was that he had mastered Rhykim, her master. The one man who survived her play times. The first person to treat her and Nyx with respect without having to be bullied. If Rhykim has weakened so much that he was controlled by a puddle, he is not worth following any more.
She glanced up as she heard footsteps. A Stari approached with his cheetah walking next to him. She smiled and saluted him. "Greetings, Sun brother, may you never thirst," she said. Xeonph was puzzled. Payment? Sure, he liked getting paid, but he was just doing this for the fun of it. He followed Rhykim into the castle, at the same time coming to the realization that 'payment' may not necessarily be a positive thing.So I'm back, or at least I will be eventually. Rhykim sensed Xeonph's sudden apprehension to a possible, not as luxurious, alternative form of payment. "Relax, I figured you were in this for the reward." Rhykim stopped in front of a door which had several series of locks on it (like the one vault in Harry Potter). Rhykim touched the door and held in hand on it for several seconds, which followed with the locks being unlocked. When they finished clicking and moving, Rhykim opened the door to reveal the Treasure of Logata. In the room was a pile of gold coins, to gold bars, to other objects such ancient Hyrulian texts and scrolls, to other, more practical items like jeweled weapons and equipment as well as jeweled goblets and dinnerware. "I allow you to take one item or as much gold bars or coins that you can carry," Rhykim said now stepping out of the way for Xeonph to claim his reward.sigpic

Xeonph raised an eyebrow. Rhykim was being awfully generous. Then again, this was probably one of, oh, three or four vaults. Shrugging, Xeonph walked in and picked up a handful of gold coins, shoving them into his pocket. It was quite the weight, but Xeonph shrugged. He'd have to explore the possibilities of storage. He walked out, thanking Rhykim for his generosity.So I'm back, or at least I will be eventually. Trying to reintegrate myself.

Rhykim bowed politely to Xeonph and waited for him to exit the vault. When he did, Rhykim sealed the door again, ensuring that no one but him can open it. "Are you up for earning a little more?" he asked Xeonph in a business tone.sigpic

When Ranger saw Nyx's twin greet him, he moved in similar fashion and said, "Hello, sister, may clear skies always tower above you." Dara greeted the cheetah as well. Ranger then looked at Nyx and grinned. "It went great. I'm glad to see you're OK too. How did it go in here? Were you there when the crown was finally claimed?" Seeing Nyx sent a wave of energy down his throat, and so did seeing she was alive and well.Comment

Xeonph considered, then nodded. "If you don't mind, I'll go claim one of the rooms in the East Wing and meet you in the courtyard. Take your time." With that, Xeonph walked away, hoping he knew where he was going.

Rhykim walked to the throne room. In a door off to the right and behind the actual throne, was the "war room". It was here that Rhykim was headed. He entered the room and left the door open. He pulled the map 'Nexus' had given him and he laid it out. He started to look it over and tried forming a plan. After several minutes of his planning, his brain wasn't turning anything up for a solid plan. "Blast it! Where's Nyx?! This is her kind of thing." He was becoming frustrated, completely oblivious to the plans his three closest Stari allies were plotting.sigpic

(OK, so Laora is outside the castle walls... just outside.)
Laora came to a stop in a small clearing. He was breathing heavily, and dropped his now useless shield. He looked around and realized this was the old assault camp. He looked at his surroundings, seeing a glint of metal behind a bush. He stepped towards it, not worried about noise.
Rylin was lying behind a bush, still feeling the pain between his wings from last night. He heard someone coming towards him and held his breath, keeping as still as possible. The bushes were thrown back. He tensed, then heard a voice, probably a Dracos. "Oh, thank god you're alive!" He stood up, as his legs and arms weren't damaged, and got into a battle stance, only to see a Dracos wearing armor who obviously meant no harm. He looked nothing like the one that had assailed him last night. He relaxed. "What exactly are you doing here?"
"I was at the castle. Got into a fight with my scumbag of a brother, and that 'emperor' Rhykim broke it up. Figured I might as well leave and regroup. How about you?"
"Judging by your description, I got attacked by your brother as I flew to the castle to warn them of the invasion. I was attacked and some guy hit me in the back with some sort of...thing. Nearly knocked me out. I've been sleeping here. The pain was too much to bear."
Laora considered himself briefly. "It seems we have a common enemy. Perhaps we should form an alliance."
"Please. I'd do anything to rid myself of that-" his voice cut out. "Oh my god... my brother was stabbed by a Dracos some time ago in a battle. That was... that was your brother."
"Sounds just like him. Only strengthens this alliance."
"I never agreed to an alliance!"
"Well, do you like the idea?"
"...yes."
It was a deal. They decided it was best to go to Logata City. They could find a meal, and Laora could probably have his shield repaired. Together they headed down the trail, not sure of what they would find.

Xeonph found a room in the east wing. It had a bed, a small dresser, and a lock on the door, which was unlocked but Xeonph found a key in the drawer. He put it in his pocket and tossed his gold coins in. He chuckled. It certainly was comfortable, but he had to admit there was a certain charm to sleeping outdoors. He walked out and locked the door and with a small afterthought, took out his knife and lightly carved in a crude 'X'. It was cheap, but it'd work. Nahim walked through the castle, even just now looking at it he felt the pride of the victory. Him his troops and his fellow commanders, and of course Rhykim, all knew this was easily their biggest victory. But lately something had been plaguing him, what were they to do now? Did Rhykim have any plans for the future? This was the reason he was on his way to find Rhykim, he wanted to ask him this precise question. He walked through the castle, occasionally asking a random guard if he had seen the master himself. Eventually he tracked him down into the war room, he slowly walked in, and made a professional bow before him. He then stood up and waited for Rhykim to address him.The Roose is LooseComment
