Rhykim didn't budge or waken. In his mind, his spirit looked around to see what his brain imagined Layla to be like when she was inside his mind. He ran up to her and started to explain:
"I'm trying to wake up, but I think Nexus has blocked me from doing so. Go and get Generals Nyx and Amaya. They'll know something else to do." His arm started to flicker to a transparent then spreading to the rest of his body and then solidified again. A scared expression formed on Rhykim's face. "Why do I feel like that wasn't a good thing?"

Layla looked at Rhykim's spirit with a little surprise. Usually, people couldn't sense her in their minds. Then she shrugged. He was unconscious, naturally he would be more aware of what's going on in his mind. Since he told her to get the two generals, she figured there would be nothing wrong with leaving to find them, even though he was unconscious. But then she noticed part of him fade for a moment before returning to its normal state. She bit her lip. "I'm not entirely certain what that means, but the few times I have seen a being fade at all, those people died shortly after. I have never seen them return to normal." She touch the arm, and encountered resistance. "It is still there, still whole, so you must not be dieing. I would doubt Nexus would let you die anyways." She bowed slightly. "I will go fetch your generals now, if you will provide me with their images?"

Rhykim looked confused. "How can I do that? You want me to draw a picture?" Rhykim stopped for a second, and out of nowhere spawned the pictures of Amaya and Nyx. He was confused but he soon realized he could do anything in his mind. Even spawn things from thin air.

Layla rolled her eyes. "I take it you don't use your imagination much." She took the images to her mind, then bade Rhykim a farewell. She stretched before leaving the room to search for Amaya and Nyx.

Rhykim scowled under the his breath. He tried thinking inside the brain inside his actual brain, but all it did was echo out loud. He tried talking but since it require thinking before it still echoed either way. He just felt it was best to keep his mouth shut. His armorless image fading in and out again, lasting longer than normal. I hope she hurries up.

Zulo smashed through the window and hoped Jenna was still on his back, but he couldn't tell because of everything else his mind and body were going through. He was inside the castle. He saw a single man in this room, but he was unconscience, lying on the floor. (Rhykim) "Jenna, you okay?" Zulo looked up to see the witch still on him, feeling relieved. "Whats up with this dude?" Zulo walked over to the man and nudged him in the side with his toe. "Should we just leave him?" Zulo asked. "He is breathing."

Rhykim, who's trapped in his own mind, began to see images, feel experiences, he didn't know was there. First he was back to experiencing the day he was exiled. He was back into the position he was at, on his knees, pleading with the the late Shak's father to forgive him and begging for mercy. Rhykim's friend, and King, was unswayed by the pleas. He cast him out forcibly of the Castle and all of Logata. Rhykim, who couldn't control what he could do, was merely watching the events being retold. Before the guards hauled the then named, Eugene, out of Logata Castle, he managed to free himself from the paralysis and began to see things in an out-of-body state.

Now able to move freely, the real Rhykim stayed in the Castle. Remembering that for whatever reason, he blacked out, he saw why. One of the guards clubbed his head from behind and they grouped together and beat Eugene to a pulp while he's unconcious. Pain and sorrow filled Rhykim, as well as anger for the guards. He was always curious about what happened after the black out. He proceeded back to the throne room. There Shak's father, the King, was missing. Rhykim figured the King went up to his room. His intuition served him right. There, the King was crying. He cursed under his breath, and slammed a fist into the bedroom's table. Rhykim tried to comfort his friend, but his hand passed right through the King.

Rhykim's surroundings faded, and now appeared to show his bloodied and bruised body at the docks in Falconmill. There, a small canoe was readied with some paddles, a fishing rod, and a canteen of water. The body of Eugene was tossed into the canoe, still tied. One of the guards cut the bindings and they pushed the canoe away into the ocean where it eventually disappeared into the horizon. Rhykim continued to feel anger well up inside and started to choke on the sadness from these events.

Rhykim's surroundings changed rather quickly for a little bit. Showing him getting started on the island, nearly dying from starvation a couple times, and his return to Logata. Rhykim was now talking to the underworld folks and the petty commoners of the cities where, for their support, he would return the favor and provide the men and women a future of wealth and security. With thunderous applause, Rhykim's ghostly image left the tavern and that's where he knew what was going to happen next. A cloaked man emerged from the shadows and began to talk.

"Eugene, I know why you've returned...," the man said, "You will never take my place. I'm sorry for what happened, but you do not deserve redemption. You have been convicted of stealing, and no one, not even my best friend, deserves to be an exemption. I want you to leave, now, and never, come back. I will have you immediately executed if you return, Eugene. I beg you, please, do not force this hand to be played." The image of Rhykim was furious.
"You have no right to tell me what to do. I am no longer Eugene. I'm no longer exiled. I am no longer your friend. You casted him aside and left him for death. I showed him mercy, where you did not and I killed him," Rhykim's ghost replied to the cloaked man. "Now you had better leave before I kill you where you stand."
"I dare you to try, Rhykim Verass. I have my guards watching me. You so much as lay a finger on me, and you'll be dead in less than a minute," the cloaked man said now disappearing back into the shadows.

The alley vanished and quickly showed the time where Amaya and Nyx were knighted into their roles of General under Rhykim's Army. A timelapse continued and showed Rhykim's Island and Army growing to where it was at the modern day. Various scenes of 'mysterious murders and robberies' were shown of Rhykim, Amaya, and Nyx lurking throughout the Logata Island. Innocent people pleading for mercy as Rhykim ordered their execution. The scene faded to Rhykim and his party at the top of the Logata cliff, with Stonemount to the west, and Clearcliff to the east. And he watched Shak's father being brutally decapitated for both villages to see as well as Shak who was visiting the Canyon.

When finally, it caught up to the past week. Rhykim saw the invasion from a different point of view. First the Rito homes being desecrated and pillaged. Innocent lives defending their homes from the unprovoked attack of Amaya's front of battle, to her advance on Silvervale and the burning of the town. Also shown to Rhykim was the innocent lives killed in the bombardment of Falconmill. Families screaming in panic with no possible way to retaliate. The entire city caught off-guard by Rhykim's assault. He was then shown what his commanders had done to the various men who tried to defend their families but to be brutally struck down in cold blood and hate. Adults and children alike recognizing friends and family who have turned to a dark side of life and embraced it while the soldiers felt no remorse for killing to former people they cared about. Then showing Rhykim's brother being murdered at the hands of Rhykim.

Rhykim began to choke on the images, the personality of Eugene being revived and feeling all of the screams and pleas and begging well up inside himself. It made him choke and he vomited from the cruel and sickening things he's seen the evil ego do. 'How could I have done this?' Eugene asked himself. Suddenly everything faded to the "normal" state of being locked inside the empty void of his mind. Eugene, now fully conscious inside his mind, was then struck by a green mist, and the unfathomable pain. Nexus was ensuring that Eugene couldn't break the hold. Nexus' power managed to lock Eugene back up in the far depths of the mind, returning the cold, merciless, brutal Rhykim.

Jenna had fallen on her butt when they had crashed in, and it had hurt so much, it took her a little bit to stand up completely "other then a sore behind, I'm fine" Jenna said with a smile as she walked over to rhykim "he unconscious, maybe I can do something" she looked through her mothers journal trying to look for a spell that might have been able to wake him up. she beamed when she found one she thought would work, but it just made a cloud appear and rain on everyone "OH COME ON!" she growled "THAT DOESNT EVEN HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH WAKING SOMEONE UP, STUPID JOURNAL"

"Wow. Never thought I would see a raincloud indoors before," Zulo looked over at the book. "Anything else that might work? It might be better to just leave after all. Someone is gonna walk in here." He looked over at a door, and with focus, he heard something--footsteps. Then he noticed they were going away. Walking over to the open door, he could see a girl walking out (Layla). "Wonder where she's going."

"Yes, I was there," Nyx began. She sighed before continuing. "Something slightly... disturbing happened afterward though. It seems Rhykim is not truly the leader after all. He is now being controlled by something that calls itself a 'nexus,' which is just a pool of slime. It did something to Rhykim that gave him incredible power, but in return, he must take over other lands that we haven't even heard of. I don't know about you, but I do not like the idea of being controlled by some slime that has done nothing for us."

"Me neither," Amaya butted in. "I don't care what sort of powers it offers Master Rhykim, I will not serve a puddle that I could control." She gathered some of the water near-by into a whip and scattered it around, to emphasize her point. "I can control any liquid I set my mind to, why should I serve one just because it calls itself my master?"

Layla walked around, finally managing to find her way to the courtyard. As of yet, she hadn't met anyone named Nyx or Amaya. She wasn't even sure if Amaya was a girl's or boy's name. And of course, she had no clue if she was looking for Stari or Logatan. She spotted a trio of Stari near the wall, their cheetahs milling together near-by. Sighing, she walked up to them. She placed her fist over her heart and bowed. "May you never fear the dark, Moon brother and Sun sisters," she said. "Excuse me for interrupting, but do you know where I might find Generals Nyx and Amaya?"

Xeonph overheard two people, which he thought were Rhykim's generals, talking about 'following a puddle' or something when he arrived in the courtyard. He walked up to them, eager to hear what this was all about. When water flew into his face, he raised his arms and yelled instinctively.

Well, there goes the 'sneaky' approach.

Ranger frowned at the girls' story. "Nexus? Isn't that like, a connection?" he mumbled without thinking. Still, the concern over this turn of events didn't take away from the fact that Nyx had made it out alive and well. He turned when someone addressed them in the Stari way. He mimicked her saluting actions and was about to mention the other two were Nyx and Amaya. Amaya, that's her name! he remembered. But, another guy interrupted. He turned to look at him curiously.

Ignoring the person who had gotten drenched by Amaya for the moment, Nyx turned and greeted the person who had offered the traditional greeting. "I am General Nyx," she began. Then, gesturing at Amaya, she added, "and this is General Amaya. May I ask who wishes to know?" Obviously this person had not been serving Rhykim long, or she would have known who his two generals were. Luna swung her head around and looked at the person before taking her place beside Nyx.

Layla smiled behind her mask. "I am Layla Serino. Lord Rhykim sent me to find you. He requires your immediate presence." She bowed again.

Amaya scowled. "I would tell him to no, but we have to tell him we're leaving if we decide to." She raised an eyebrow at the Draco, but didn't comment on him. After all, she had more pressing matters than a startled Draco to worry about, even if he did look familiar.
