Tyra loosened the death grip she'd had on the tiller as the fish finally stopped struggling. "About time," she muttered. She waited a few moments for the adrenaline to finally burn out before lashing the tiller in place. "Let's see what exactly we landed." She helped her brother stand and together they approached the dead fish, cautiously, in case it was faking.
It wasn't, and Tyra could see just how well Zulo had done his work. She patted the scaly side and gave the Rito a thumbs-up. "Good shooting, lad. I might have Sparrow teach you how to use the cannon." She glanced up as Felix came back on deck. "Yeah, it's dead. Think you can chop it up for dinner? Sparrow, Zulo, help him out. Hawk, I want you to take the tiller for a while. I want to make certain there's no leaks." She smiled at Felix to indicate she meant no offense. She knew he'd scour the ship high and low to any leaks when she asked, but she had to see for herself that her precious White Wolf was all ship shape.
