"I don't know," James answered, glad that at least someone felt the way he did. "And I agree, I find it very strange. But she made up her mind." He shrugged in a defeated sort of fashion. His train of thought kept running through for a few seconds before he added. "Something tells me she might have a deal with the leader guy, maybe housing for service? I don't know," he repeated.
Suddenly behind him another figure began to move as he awakened. Midnight growled softly as he felt Elwood get up.
"Hey, what's going on?" he asked innocently as he rubbed his eyes.

Sephira shook her head. "I've everything I need, thank you." She turned and mounted Ash, then turned the steed toward Clock Town. "May the goddesses watch out for you, Edward," she said over her shoulder, then clucked her tongue at the horse. May they keep you all safe for me.
Zarola kept pace as Ash trotted towards the gates of Clock Town. "Into the lion's den we go," she grumbled. And if we come out depends on a female fur-less two-legs in a dress." Sephira didn't bother making a retort.

(Alright, Z, I can go ahead and make a new thread, or you can if you want to catch her at the gates. Either's fine by me. )

(I'm back! Sorry to disappoint you!)
Tennor and Tenning sat back, watching the other talk and make plans. The two had spent the last little while talking and, while there was a little bit of tension still between the two, they actually liked the other. "What should we do now?" Tennor asked his new-found companion.
"I guess whatever," Tenning answered, "Let's find a job."

He was in an endless plain, the skies were bloody, and Gerrard stood there stiffly in the sunlight. As he looked ahead he saw a man at the horizon. He felt a sudden urge to chase after that man and he bagn to run. An irrational despair was felt within him when he never got any closer. He kept running, and running, and running, and running...

Gerrard woke up with a start and immediately noticed his cold sweat. As he looked around him he at first did not remember anything, but the memories began to flow like a river. He had stood at the back of the company for most of the time, he had done that for most of his life and mostly preferred to keep quiet in tense situations and evaluate people in silence. Gerrard stepped out of the shelter he was sleeping under and stretched in the chilly morning air. He looked around to see if anyone else was awake at this semi-early hour and saw James and several others. Gerrard walked up to James after a few stretches and simple said "what's our next course of action?"

"Well I can't imagine any other reasons," Inga replied to James. As she spoke she saw the boy in green getting up from him slumber behind James. "Good morning, little guy," Inga said as he stumbled in over to them. She hoped being called "little" didn't offend him. She just couldn't help thinking of the Kokiri as cute little kids, but knew that if she was one of them she would get annoyed pretty quickly. "Everyone's just getting up." Inga was going to let James tell the boy what was going on. She didn't want to tell him things that would make him worried, like Sephira having what they thought was a dangerous task.

James noticed Tennor and Tenning whispering over in their corner, but payed no attention to their words. Then he saw Gerrard get up and walk up to them, just as Inga responded to Elwood. He addressed the Kokiri first, "Hey."
"Morning," Elwood replied, both to Inga and James. His state between being awake and not was enough for him not to notice the adjective given to his size. Not that he would've cared, either way, he was used to the term. It did annoy him sometimes, but it wasn't enough to upset his mood.
"Sephira just went off to do a job for the guy that's running this place," James continued. Elwood half nodded, half yawned. James proceeded to raise his voice so that all of the others could hear, and looked at Gerrard. "We should find Edward or one of those people that he addressed as group leaders yesterday. I'm not telling anyone what to do, I believe you're all free to leave as you see fit, but if you want to stay we better make ourselves useful here. And I'd appreciate the help managing things between our group and theirs," he finished, the last part said directly to Inga.

"I'd be glad to help with whatever," Inga responded, keeping the friendly tone. She wasn't actually that "glad", but she didn't have anything better to spend her time on. She wasn't expecting to stay with the rebels at first, but if her help was needed, why not?

James nodded his appreciation. He sighed as he realized they better get moving. "Whomever's staying, come on. Let's find these Rebel leaders," he said, as he turned, pulling Elwood along. Star and a still half-asleep Midnight followed along as well. He had been tired the night before, but finding his way around the camp couldn't be that hard. He just hoped they didn't have to look long for Edward.

Edward stood outside of his tent, looking around the camp. It seemed like people were starting to get up and make breakfast. I should check the supplies. The raiders will be a better mood the earlier I tell them to go on a mission.

Before he could go check, he saw James making his way across camp with Elwood. "Good morning!" Edward said, waving at James. Edward didn't like to act as if he was the leader, so he greeted everyone in the morning, ate with those who had families they left behind in Clock Town, and required no special treatment. It was a nice, humble way to be a leader.

James spotted Edward close by and was glad not to have had gone looking for him. He waved back as he approached. At least it's a good morning for someone, he thought. "Hey, Edward, right?" he said as he got close enough to have a conversation. He wasn't aware of the guy going by any other name, nor did he plan on calling him anything else. Elwood stood behind James, hiding from Edward whom he did not know at all. Any memory of who the man was from the night before was blurred by sleepiness. "Um, I know Sephira has already left to do what you asked her to. What do you need the rest of us to do? I know last night you said there were some jobs for us or something," James finished.

Tennor walked over as well, "Sitting here is useless, so Tenning and I will help out as well with anything that needs done."
Tenning sprinted over, coming to a screeching halt behind the Hylian. The two were quick friends. He watched Edward expectantly, ready to hop to action.

Inga walked with James to talk to Edward about their jobs. James pretty much spoke for her so she stood silently, waiting to hear her role. She was sure it wouldn't be something big like Sephira's task, but she hoped that it wouldn't be a dull one either, like cooking or taking care of orphans. A job like hunting wouldn't be too bad. That would give her a chance to do some exploration on her own. Inga would be happy as long as her job involved some action.

Edward thought about James's question for a little and came up with an answer. "If you head towards the east part of camp, which would be your left, there should be a big, decorated tent with at least two people in it. Tell whoever's in there you and your group haven't been assigned. They'll ask you some questions about what you think you can contribute to our.... rebellion, of sorts, and maybe they'll test you a little. Once that's done, they'll tell you your jobs. Any questions?" Edward asked. He hated using the word rebellion, because the word made it seem like they were the bad guys, and Maxwell was the good guy. Well, Maxwell was a good guy, and he has the right idea about government reform, but not like this.....

(When James and the group get to the tent, you want to time lapse or go through the questioning/testing process?)

(With how slow this thread has been going, I think it would take a pretty long time to do all the questioning, so I would prefer skipping ahead)

James nodded firmly and waved the others over. They headed to where Edward had directed them and found the tent with little trouble. He hoped whatever jobs they were assigned it allowed some room for freedom. The fresh air from a new territory was wafting into his nose and he felt an urgent need to look around the field. Not to mention, he was getting anxious about Sephira being gone so he needed something to keep busy with. They stepped inside the tent to find the people Edward had mentioned. "Hey, Edward sent us over here. Our, er, group hasn't be assigned yet."

(I agree we should skip the questions, just move to whatever jobs we need to do.)
