Any sympathy for the Terarn died in an instant. The èrinn shifted from the relaxed stance she'd been holding to a slightly more aggressive, warning the other with body language that she'd gone too far. Her ruff began to fluff with her own cold rage. "Slavery of sentient species is an intergalactic crime, punishable by several years imprisonment and a steep fine," she said, her voice abruptly cold. "I am authorized to arrest and turn in any I suspect of dealing in such a trade. Do not tempt me to take a threat spoken out of anger as evidence of trading." she knew that it was a hard law to enforce in the vast territory that answered to the Interstellar Congress, especially due to the bureaucrats' need to define what constituted as sentient. She had been on many systems who had abused that definition, enslaving beings who shouldn't be to a disgusting degree. And the issue had become a lot more personal for her in recent years.
"I have offered to pay for damages, which I fully intend to do. Point me to the nearest star port, and I will move my ship, then go with you to your preferred repair shop to set up the process of repairs. Be content with that, and don't look for extra trouble." She was tempted to comment that other travelers to this planet might consider such damage unnecessary to pay for, given that this planet would be considered "lesser" and "beneath notice" to those of a higher tech tier. But she had already made her point, and it was better not to antagonize the situation anymore. For now.

Zaria stepped back instinctively, and her hand reached back to rest on one of the knives she kept on either hip. "Fine," she muttered, switching back to Common. "There's a repair shop not far away; I can fly there if you want to follow me in your ship." she said simply, slowly stepping backwards before she turned around. The human boy looked more confused than anything, but Zaria could tell she struck a nerve with the erinn. Better to leave well enough alone for now, lest her feathers be plucked and her body dunked in hot water. "Wait here," she said over her shoulder. "I need to report the damages to somebody before we leave." she spread her arms wide and flapped hard, her feathers floofing up and allowing her to rise into the air and glide a short distance away to a balcony which she ducked into to find Zulo, the Rito Prince.

"Zaria!" Zulo smiled as his old friend touched down on his balcony and entered his royal court where he sat at a seat in the center. It was an open room at the core of the palace where visitors could walk in freely under the massive columns that went along two ends that were parallel with how his seat faced. Sunlight sparkled in through the two open ends on Zulo's right and left, lighting up his golden eyes and simple ringed chieftain crown. He saw distress written all over her. It hit him deeper than most when Zaria was in trouble, having practically grown up with her. "What's the matter?"

Sylvester's eyes widened at Xio's mention of slavery. He gulped. He couldn't afford to make any mistakes here, so he stood by and hoped all Xio's fierceness would come through for him.

She watched the Terarn fly off and allowed herself to relax marginally. Obviously she hadn't cowed the other, but she was at least willing to back down. The èirinn was accustomed enough to needing to pull out her dominance, a trait that served her well in her career, but that didn't mean she liked forcing it on a stranger who didn't deserve it. She forced her fur to settle down and lay flat again, then turned to Sylvester. "You might want to just stay on the ship for now." Her eyes were still glittering with barely contained anger.

Zaria was panting hard when she got to Zulo, not from the flight, but from trying not to scream. "These two idiots just fell from the sky and crushed my ship! Do you know how much money I'm going to lose while it's in repairs? If they can even repair it!" she began pacing before Zulo's throne, gesturing wildly into the air. "Right when I thought I was doing good! I had just paid off the Canines, and now look, no way to pay off anybody else!" she turned to Zulo and allowed a small number of tears to form in her eyes. "My whole life is and was on that ship," she said quietly.

“Right,” Sylvester nodded, following Xio’s suggestion as if it was an order. He had already goofed up enough for one day. Going back inside the ship, he plopped down on the copilot chair. He could watch Xio from here and made sure to keep all his limbs away from the console.

Zulo gave Zaria a hug and patted her head reassuringly. He had been awaiting her return from her escapades, and though she seemed to mostly visit to ask for help, he still cared and was always willing to give that help. Today was one of those days where he was willing to help, as it was the middle of a prosperous season for their economy, and he had missed his friend. While it was docked, he could always see her ship from his balcony and he had watched the alien ship crash land atop it. It appeared to him that damage was only done to parts of the ship above the water's surface, so luckily it wouldn't need to be lifted out of the water. Seeing how riled up she had been, he wanted to do whatever her could to deescalate this situation with the aliens.
"Don't worry," he said calmly. "I can order my shipwright to get to work. But the aliens will pay. I would like to see them with you."

Once she was alone, the hunter allowed herself a brief sigh. Two crashes in one outing. This at least had been better controlled, but still. Her record wasn't doing so well; she was usually able to keep it down to a single crash every few hunts, and even then, it was usually because she'd elected to use her ship as a ram, as poor a decision as that could be. She looked it over again, as well as the ship beneath it. She sighed again, then pulled out her tablet and inputted a command. The two tiny hover droids flew out of her ship and began flying around, scanning both vessels under her direct supervision. The damage to her own ship was minimal, nothing that a quick paint job couldn't manage. The other ship would need more help. Granted she didn't know the schematics of the ship faring vessel, but it would be out of commission for a number of days. She winced, sincerely hoping they'd be able to figure out a way to negotiate the loss of business, since this was clearly not for personal use.

Zaria nodded and wiped her tears on Zulo's shirt. He was the only person permitted to see her cry, and she did not let him see that often. It would ruin her reputation as a cutthroat pirate. Together, they returned to the shipwreck and stood before Xio. "Prince Zulo has a repairman by the name of Daniel who can help us," she said, any sign of weakness trimmed from her voice. "His base is not far from us, just a few clicks northwest."

Zulo examined the alien ship atop Zaria's own as they reached the docks along with two of his soldiers. It had a unique green-purple pearlescence and he didn't recognize any design motifs from other spaceships that visitors used. To his knowledge, this alien was new to the city, and he had a feeling she hadn't come to trade. Something was off. Still, he respectfully bowed to her in greeting.
"Greetings, welcome to our great city Epilion," Zulo said in Common, speaking quite plainly having developed his poker face over the years of negotiation. "I am Prince Zulo. I hope you were not harmed in your accident. I trust you will pay for these damages?"

By the time the two Terarns came back, the èirinn had finished her scans and sent the two hover droids back into the ship. She was frowning at the resultant scans when the pair landed. At first she ignored the newcomer, but she recognized the word "prince" well enough to realize the owner of the ship had some clout. She silently cursed her loose words, and even more her luck to run her afoul of planetary royalty. Well, no use crying over the fallen leaf. She placed a hand over her heart, curling it in the gesture of greeting peculiar to her kind. "Intergalactic Hunter Xiomara," she said by way of introduction. Might as well show off what little clout she possessed as well, if the big guns were being drawn. She was also trying to curb her irritation as the prince asked for confirmation of paying for the damages. Hadn't she assured the owner three times already that she would pay? "As I'd already stated, I'd be more than willing to pay for what damage was done by my ship. I just need to location of your nearest star port so I can move my ship to a safer landing site, then we can go meet your repairman." Okay, didn't quite successfully curb her irritation, but at least her fur wasn't ruffling anymore.

Zulo nodded. "Very well. Our star port is at the southernmost end of our island." He gestured in its general direction.

She gave a curt nod. "Then I'll return shortly." She turned and made her way aboard her ship, not awaiting any response. She returned to the cockpit and instructed Sylvester to buckle his safety harness. Buckling her own, she powered up the ship. Lifting off was a slow and delicate process, as she didn't want to cause any excess damage by abruptly removing her ship. She even had one of the hover droids monitor from outside, just in case. As soon as she was cleared, she recalled the droid and began making her way to the indicated star port. Once she knew where it was, it didn't take long to find it. Once docked, she spoke briefly with the person in charge, filing the paperwork usually needed to land an intergalactic ship. Each planet had their own laws and customs on such a task, and she almost wished she could have just remained where she was rather than deal with the arduous (if brief) task of filling paperwork. Once completed, though, she started to work back to where the Terarns were. She left it to Sylvester if he wanted to stay on the ship or accompany her, but Medy would be in charge of the ship regardless, ready to intervene if anyone tried to mess with her ship.

Zaria watched the other ship leave hers, cringing at the sound of crunching and splintering wood. She glided aboard from where she and Zulo were standing and began pacing, assessing the damage. The deck and masts had been completely crushed, and would take some time to repair. Being on a planet of mostly water, wood was not an easy resource to come by. She flagged down a tow boat to drag her ship, The Magypsie, to the same shop Xio's ship had been docked. "You should come back with us to meet the mechanic," Zaria said without looking at Xio. "He's an odd duck, but trustworthy enough."

Sylvester elected to stay behind, so the hunter headed out of the starport. She paused as she realized she had no idea how she'd navigate the city on foot to return to the two Terarns, briefly wondered if she'd even be able to in a city designed for the flighted natives. Fortunately for her, the pair had decided to pick her up themselves, riding in the tow boat with the ruined ship trailing behind. She nodded and hopped aboard, her tail flicking to help with her balance. While the unsteadiness of a water craft wasn't completely strange to her, it wasn't quite the same as the trees she had grown up under.
She started wondering about who this mechanic was. While "Daniel" wasn't an altogether unique name, it still seemed to stand out as different among these Terarns. Perhaps he was a foreigner, a visitor from another planet. She felt her crest begin to ruffle as she wondered if it was her Daniel. It had been awhile since she'd last checked in on him, but she didn't recall him making any mention of leaving his place in Xenthras. She hoped for his sake that this wasn't him now. She might have to have some words with him if he'd decided to come to this backwater of a planet, even if it was to learn about different kinds of ship-building.

The trio arrived at the repair port and Zaria fluttered off the tug and onto a steady platform. She cupped her hands around her mouth and hollered in Common deeper into the shop, "Hey Daniel! Got another project for ya!"
A tall man came shuffling from the back, stunning blue eyes downcast as he approached. Zaria knew him only as the man she paid to fix her ship and keep quiet about her illegal activities. "Bit of a doozy," Zaria explained, gesturing to her ship. Then, under her breath and in her native tongue, she muttered again about how much of an inconvenience this would be.
