"Haha. Yeah, it really wasn't," Elliot said, scratching the side of his head. "We'll need to find the person who actually owns this place if we want to be able to keep it. But hey, don't you worry about that. I'll take care of it." He moved behind her, wrapping his arms around her chest and kissing the top of her head. "You just worry about how we're going to furnish this place and spruce it up."

"growing up in the desert doesn't exactly give you a good eye for furnishing" rose said "but I'll try my best" she smiled leaning her head up and kissing Elliot softly on his lips.sigpicI want to say a big thank you to zeke for making me the picture for my birthday.

Sephira smiled, hapy that her friends were happy. She looked over the funiture, getting a feel for the pattern. It shouldn't be too hard for her to duplicate, she though. It might be hard getting wood for it. She turned to Elliot and Rose. "If you will give me the money for wood, I can make you funiture. Probably better quality, too." She rubbed her chin. "On second thought, all I should need is an ax and someone to help me move trees when I cut them down. James would do, I think." She'd have to teach him to stay away from the tree, so that if it falls the wrong way he won't get crushed.Phillipians 4:13 - I can do everything through him who gives me strength.

"Aw, hey, you'd do that for us?" Elliot said, his eyes lighting up in surprise at the offer. "That'd be really helpful. I truly appreciate it, Sephira. And," he added with a mischievous smile, "I don't think James would mind helping you out at all. Isn't that right, James?" He playfully nudged him on the shoulder.

Sephira smiled. "Of course I would! It's been so long since I applyed my skill with wood, and I miss it."
Midnight bumped her. "Chairs are a little larger than what you're used to whittling."
Sephira knelt down next to him and rubbed his head. "I know, but how hard can it be? I bet I can do it really easily."Phillipians 4:13 - I can do everything through him who gives me strength.

"thanks sephria" said rose, she was glad to have friends who would help her so much. Then a thought occured to her "what am I going to do the rest of my life, I can't sit around doing nothing all day and the only skills I know are thievery and swordsmanship. I can't go around stealing things it just doesn't feel right, and I'm sick of fighting" rose looked down at her feet sadly.sigpicI want to say a big thank you to zeke for making me the picture for my birthday.

"Why not open a school to teach younger kids how to fight with a sword, then?" Elliot suggested, leaning against the table with one hand. "Or join a school yourself and take classes that you've always been interested in. I'm sure there are plenty of options for you out there. Whatever you do, you can bet that I'll be right behind y-" Before he could finish his sentence, one of the table leg suddenly snapped, causing Elliot to lose his balance and fall flat on his rear. He quickly jumped to his feet, brushing off the dust from his clothing. He looked back at the broken table. "Well. I guess this house is a lot older than I thought." The doorknob to the front of the house suddenly rattled and a loud knocking was heard.
"Hey!" a voice called. "Who's in there!"

Sephira laughed. "Looks like I'm making a table too!"
Midnight rolled his eyes. "You better have a good idea how you're going to do that." Before Sephira could respond, the wolf's ears shot up, as did Star's. Both instantly headed towards the back. Sephira understood why as someone banged the door. She grabbed James' arm and ran after her two. They stood beneath a window, asking her to open it. She did so, and shoved James through. Midnight and Star followed, and Sephira climbed out after them, closing the window as best she could behind her.Phillipians 4:13 - I can do everything through him who gives me strength.

Everything had happened so quickly it took James a second to process. First they had been admiring the house, then Sephira had been saying she could help make furniture and before he could say OK Elliot had said something once more patronizing him. Then again before he could respond the others had talked and Elliot had broken a table, AND before he could laugh someone had been trying to get into the house. He was about to suggest to the others they see who it was because James might know him and be able to talk him out of punishing them for breaking in, but before he could do it he had been pulled away and shoved out a window. When he finally processed it all, he stood, brushed off his pants, and took a deep breath. "Close call, huh?" he asked Sephira, looking around to see Elliot and Rose, hoping they'd made it out.

Rose jumped out a window, dragging Elliot behind her "a gerudo scared of authority" rose said once she got out "even I think that is slightly pathetic" rose quickly closed the widow as soon as Elliot was through "that was to close, you guys know what would of happened if they worked out I was a gerudo right?"sigpicI want to say a big thank you to zeke for making me the picture for my birthday.

"They wouldn't have cared," Elliot stated simply while carefully shutting the window back in place. "And if they did, they wouldn't have for long. I'd make sure of that." He circled around back to the front, motioning for the others to follow after him, and saw who he assumed to be the one that had been knocking on the door, doing what appeared to be digging through a small pack of his. And by the looks of it, he wasn't too happy. Elliot took a deep breath and approached the man with a confident 'I'm-totally-not-guilty-of-anything' smile. "Excuse me, Sir," he called out to him. "I'd like to purchase this house. Can we work out a payment agreement?" The man turned himself away from the house to look Elliot up and down, as if sizing him up. Once he was satisfied with his assessment, he nodded and stepped to the side so the group before him could get a better look at the house.
"We certainly can! She's a real beaut, isn't she?" he proudly said. "Aha! Here we go!" He pulled out a key attached to a long chain from his bag and held it up triumphantly for all to see. "Now just wait 'til you see the inside!"
"Oh...uh..." The man had the door unlocked in a flash and ushered everyone inside before stepping in the house himself.
"What'd I tell you?" he said. "No one makes 'em better then I do! Only the finest material was used in the making of this house. In fact, the--" He paused mid-sentence as his eyes widened in what looked to Elliot like shock to anger to embarrassment then back to shock. He could guess exactly what the guy was looking at.
"My table!" the businessman cried, running over to the broken piece of furniture. Elliot followed after him, rubbing the back of his neck and tugging at the collar of his tunic. "Confound it all, it must've been those dreadful animals that I heard scampering around in here just a few minutes ago! I told the committee not to be cheap disposing of them. But does anyone ever listen to Marten? No!" He turned apologetically to Elliot, who was now sweating profusely and trying horribly to mask his emotions with a poker face. "I'm terribly sorry about this, my good man," he said, bowing his head. "I do hope this doesn't change your mind about purchasing the house. I assure you this is the first time something like this has happened."
"That's quite alright. Those...those animals are something."
"I'll tell you what I'll do," continued the salesman. "I'm going to give you a special discount offer. A twelve year payment of five hundred rupees a month. Quite a steal!"
"Huh. Well that's pretty-"
"And I'll throw in a free table."
"Deal."
"With a fifty rupee shipping and handling cost."
"That's not very free."
"Gotta make a living somehow." He pulled out a folder from his bag and flipped through the thick stack of papers. "Ah, here we go." He pulled out a sheet and placed it in front of Elliot on the kitchen's counter, along with a small bottle of ink and a quill. "Just sign on the marked spot at the bottom of the paper, if you please." Elliot took a few minutes to carefully read through the parchment and after being satisfied that he wasn't selling his soul, signed his name. The man quickly took it back into his hands, probably worried that he'd change his mind and rip it up. He glanced at the signature, nodded, then tucked the paper back into his folder.
"It's a pleasure doing business with you, Mr. Kastaga," he said, the friendly smile back on his face. "Now before you settle in, I'll need a down payment of three hundred rupees, but I'm sure that won't be a problem. Do any of you have questions?"
I totally know how buying houses works.

A knock came to the door. Tennor hoped he had the right adress. "What is going on in there?" he asked himself. "Should I knock again? Or leave? Or...?"Last edited by HyrulianBlackcat; 10-06-2011, 08:20 PM.

Sephira just barely kept her snickering under control at how the bussinessman conducted himself. He seemed very flustered when he found out about the table, and Elliot trying to keep his expression neutral almost made her burst out laughing. Luckily she had Star and Midnight near-by, so she used the excuse of petting them to cover her face enough to hide the grin, and when the laughter became too much, she pressed her face to Midnight's side and let it out.Phillipians 4:13 - I can do everything through him who gives me strength.

James turned away so the man didn't see his smile, and he noticed Sephira trying to do the same. Even with the laughter, there was one thought in his mind, "This is it, this is home now." But he knew, the house itself wasn't home, it was Elliot, Sephira, Rose, and even Midnight and Star. Where they were, there it was home. When he heard the man ask for questions, and the immediate silence that followed, he knew, there was no turning back. Well, silence tainted by a knock on the door, but he didn't want to be the one to open it, so he looked at the others to see if any of them would.
