  • "I see my wares have caught your eyes." Elliot managed to tear his attention away from the row of elegantly decorated weapons for a few seconds to nod at the man before his curiosity was reeled back to the displayed items.
"You have quite the variety of...interesting things," Elliot said at last, for lack of a better description. "Where did you get them?"
"Some from over here. Some from over there," the man cryptically remarked without so much as a twitch of a smile. Elliot waited for the man to elaborate on the meanings of 'here' and 'there'. Much to his annoyance, he did not. He was probably a crook selling cheap imitations. It would explain the shady attire. Elliot started to turn around and walk away when the guy called out to him in an oddly unpleasant yet at the same time beckoning voice.
"If you so desire, I have what you seek." Elliot gave him a skeptical look and crossed his arms.
"Is that so," he responded, figuring he may as well take the bait. "And what might that be?"
"Something for everyone," he now said in a raspy voice, slowly moving away from the counter and shuffling towards Elliot. "Always something for everyone." As the man got closer and closer towards him, Elliot grew just a tiny bit worried and started to take a few steps back.
"Uh...What are you-" He had no time to finish his sentence as he was suddenly yanked around and behind the stall. Elliot was about to voice his indignation when the man held out a small roll of parchment, tied by only a small piece of flimsy string. The man pushed it towards him and he took the hint and took it from his hands. "What is it?" Elliot asked, starting to pull the string. The man hastily snatched it back into his own hands, the quick and sudden movement nearly making his hood fall back. He adjusted the hood and Elliot saw a frown appear on his face. The man tut-tutted, shaking his head at him, and Elliot felt his level of irritation rise. "Well if you didn't want to give it to me, why did y-"
"For a slight fee, the parchment is yours to be revealed," the man said before Elliot could finish his protest.
"Oh come on, you can't possibly expect me to buy that if I don't even know what it is."
"The call of curiosity beckons you, no?" the man answered, holding the parchment out for him to take again. "Hidden islands, lost treasure...what could be in it, I wonder?" he added in a slightly teasing tone.
"You drive a hard bargain," Elliot grumbled, not particularly fond of how reeled in he was getting into all of this. He snatched the thin paper from the man's hand and pulled out the pouch from his pocket. "What's your offer?" Goddesses help him, he was going to feel like such an idiot if the paper turned out to be blank. It wouldn't be the first time. Curse his weakness.
"A mere hundred rupees is all this simple fellow asks for," the man said in reply. Elliot let out a snort and crossed his arms again.
"Do you take me for a fool?" he said. "For something I can't even look at, what you're asking for is highway robbery. Ten rupees."
"I promise you, you won't be disappointed with its contents," the man said. "Seventy-five."
    "Fifteen."
"Seventy rupees. Take it or be gone."
"If it's as 'amazing' as you say it is, why don't you keep it for yourself?" Elliot questioned him in suspicion.
"I have no need for the wealthy gains that seem to draw people in. I only wish to make a simple living for myself and share my finds with others."
"I think fifteen rupees is plenty simple enough."
"You would deny this tired old man the extra rupees to live?"
"Fine, fine," Elliot muttered, fishing out the rupees and clattering them onto the stand. "Consider it a charity case. But you mark my words, if I find out I've been cheated, I'm going to hunt you down." The man smiled and scooped up the rupees onto the palm of his hand. Elliot gave him a final warning glare then turned to leave. The man's voice spoke out from behind him once more.
"Fare thee well...Elliot." Elliot spun around in surprise.
"Hey, how'd you know my-" To his complete and utter confusion, the man was gone. All that was left behind was a rickety old stand. He glanced at the parchment still in his hand, then back at the stand. And it was in this confused daze that Elliot started walking back home.

    • James had to stifle a gasp when he heard what the girls were saying. He couldn't believe what he was listening in on. They were planning on going back to the fortress?! Where they crazy? And had Rose really just said she was good at escaping? As far as James knew they had had to go and save her themselves both times! And not only that, but the first time someone had died, and the second time James had been dead for a few minutes at least, and then almost died in the river! He couldn't believe it, he couldn't conceive the thought that this was actually happening, he had to tell Elliot, and soon. If only he could get back quickly from his whatever-he-was-doing.

      • From a distance, Elliot could already spot what was now officially their house. The rain had slowed down to a light drizzle so things were starting to look up. Perhaps he would take James back to his old house to gather up whatever he wanted to take along with him. That is, if he was feeling up to it. Poor kid might want to stay away from there for a while, he solemnly thought. At the very least, they could all go out for a nice dinner as a family. As he approached the house, he scuffed his shoes on the grass to get the mud out and turned the knob to open the door.

        • Amaterasu heard the door creak open and turned to smile ruefully at Elliot. "Hey Elliot," she said, sounding more confident than she was. She explained the general situation to Elliot as they continued to dry. Amaterasu was pretty much dry by the time she finished, so she leaned against a wall and sighed. "How do you plan to escape this time Rose?" she asked. "We need a game plan this time if its going to be a planned capture and escape."

            • "What?! No!" Elliot shouted, forcefully making his point across by slamming his fist against the counter. "I refuse to even let you go anywhere near that filthy man again!" He pulled Rose close to him and placed his hands softly, pleadingly, against the side of her face. "Now listen to me," he said, "I promised you you would never have to go back there again. Not with that guy. And I'm not about to break that promise. You're going to stay here and lie low. No one is going to be taking you anywhere. Okay? Rose?" He rested his forehead against her. "Please, please don't be stubborn about this," he whispered. He turned to look at Amaterasu. "Why?" he simply said, his tired eyes looking into hers. "Why are you doing this? You don't have to work for him. I know you, Amaterasu. You're different from them. You're not evil. Don't do this."

                • Tennor stood outside, looking at the rain. He sighed and looked up... accidentaly dropping his heavy pack on his foot. He howled in pain and tore it off, trying to make the pain leave for a moment.

                  • Amaterasu stared at Elliot. "I was trying to keep us from being killed you moron!" she screamed, throwing her quiver to the ground. "If you think I'd WANT this to happen, I'd have done it sooner!" Although her scales were dark blue, a few seemed to turn red in embarresment and anger. "You don't understand do you? You don't understand!" she grabbed her quiver from the ground and yanked open the door. "If you figure out a way to not be an idiot Elliot, come find me!" she shouted, running into Tennor on the way out. "Get out of the way," she muttered, shoving Tennor to the side and darting towards Death Mountain.

                    • When he heard Amaterasu leave James stood from his hiding place and hopped on the counter. He couldn't believe what he had heard, Elliot had come and done everything right, and the girls had just yelled at him? In James' mind, first, Rose didn't understand. Elliot wasn't ordering her not to do it, he was pleading her not to go. Who wouldn't, after all they had been through to get her out the last time? A self-conscious irrational person, that's who, James thought. Then Amaterasu went and yelled at Elliot as though it was his fault, and claim that she was doing this to save us? It seemed to James that the only person she was trying to save was herself. She didn't need to go and rejoin the gerudo, the group could always help her, keep her away from them, just like with Rose. But nooo, she had decided to go and turn herself in on a silver platter, and now everyone around her was in danger, how nice. James would like to say this aloud, to let the others know what he was thinking, but he decided against it. What he did say though, was directed to Rose.
"Rose, don't you see? Elliot isn't trying to stop you from helping, he is trying to protect you. There are other ways to deal with this, to help Amaterasu, and they are a hell of a lot better than going and turning yourself in! I mean, do you even remember what we went through to save you the last couple of times? Do you know how hard it was? And if you do, why would you think that this time would be any different? You don't even have a plan for goddesses sake! But you just go and and decide that turning yourself in is best, and then you're going to escape? How, after knowing Ganandorf for so long, how can you even conceive the thought that he will NOT kill Amaterasu once you escape? Or simply send her after you again! I'm not telling you you can't go, I'm not saying anything other than, please think this through before you go making wild choices that might get us killed. And please don't even think about blaming Elliot, he's not the one who decided to turn you in and risk all of our lives, again." By now James had gotten off the counter and walked up to Rose, using hand gestures. He had even gotten a little flushed from the entire situation. He took a step back and leaned on the counter, next to Elliot, and took a deep breath to calm himself.

                      • "I'm gerudo" rose simply said as she walked Towards the door "we rarely think things through" she stepped outside and walked quickly away from the house, not wanting to deal with the guys overprotective attitude. She could actually handle herself really well, the problem last two times was that she was scared, and she didn't have the luxury to be scared when she was busy helping a friend.

                        • Elliot placed his hand on James' shoulder and stiffly told him to wait inside, not wanting him to get involved. Then he quickly stepped outside and went after Rose. He spotted her in the near distance and ran towards her. When he finally caught up, he grabbed her hand and stood in front of her to block her path. For a moment, he just stood there, breathlessly staring into Rose's eyes. When he finally spoke, it was in an eerily quiet voice. "Unplanned kidnaps, fine. I can understand those happening. After all, who wouldn't want to take a beautiful woman like you? But to actually plan on going back there? To put yourself in danger again, and on your own accord..." He noticed he was starting to tremble like his wavering voice. He swallowed and continued to push out all the heavy emotions inside him. "I try to tell you how much I love you, how much it kills me inside to see you suffer, especially when you're back there. What, you think I'm stupid?" He was shouting at her now, but he made no effort to calm down. "You think I don't see how much it hurts you to go back there? Don't you think that maybe, just maybe, the very person who loves you gets hurt too?" He let out a sarcastic laugh through a terrible grimace. "No. Of course not. I just love watching you go back to the grasp of the very person who just might kill you. What the hell, right? It's all good." He dropped her hand that he'd been holding tightly and turned, unable to look at her right now. "Go. Do what you want. Get yourself kidnapped again. I'll think of a way to get you back. I always will. But I understand now that the way you make me feel inside means nothing to you. Which, I guess, means that I'm nothing to you. This has been a most joyous enlightenment, Rose." He left her then, not wanting to linger around anymore.
