Sephira stared at him for a moment, then nodded. That would explain why Star couldn't see or smell the person, while still hearing. Ghosts were one of the few super-natural things that Sephira believed in. She had only seen a few, and she wasn't certain if they were actual ghosts, or just visions, but she was more trusting of them than she was of living, excluding animals.
