When Gerrard entered the house, Star had looked up, rather sleepily to see who it was. Seeing that it was the man Sephira had taken a dislike to, she hissed at him, and started to stand, her fur bristling. Her tail lashed to the side and she snapped her teeth at him. If he was here to harm her Alpha's mate (yes, spending too much time with Midnight makes her think in wolf terms), she would show him just how sharp her teeth were.

Sephira found an excellant selection of food to make a delicious breakfast. She planned on omletts with ham, cheese, and onions in them, accompanied by milk and an orange each. She also made sure to grab a haunch for Star to eat. Happy with her purchases, she started to head back to the house, when she spotted another stall with interesting wares for sale. She didn't know why it caught her attention, especially when closer inspecition revealed they were all knives. She wasn't one for knives.
Then she remembered that James used knives. She looked them over, wondering if there would be a good one there for her to get James. After a few minutes, she finally settled on one. It was straight, and nicely balanced, about as long as her fore-arm, minus her hand. The hilt was a plain black one, but the crossgaurd had a dark red garnet set into it, a color she had always likened to fire. She also liked the sheath, for it was also black, but with a red sun blazened across the middle. She smiled at it, and quickly purchased it.
She tucked the knife into her basket and headed back for the house. She paused in front of the door, though. Some inner instinct told her there was someone there besides James and Star. She wondered if maybe it was Melody, but discarded the idea. She doubted the spirit would set off any warning alarms. Finally, she decided that dithering about wasn't going to solve anything, and opened the door.
