  • When Gerrard entered the house, Star had looked up, rather sleepily to see who it was. Seeing that it was the man Sephira had taken a dislike to, she hissed at him, and started to stand, her fur bristling. Her tail lashed to the side and she snapped her teeth at him. If he was here to harm her Alpha's mate (yes, spending too much time with Midnight makes her think in wolf terms), she would show him just how sharp her teeth were.

Sephira found an excellant selection of food to make a delicious breakfast. She planned on omletts with ham, cheese, and onions in them, accompanied by milk and an orange each. She also made sure to grab a haunch for Star to eat. Happy with her purchases, she started to head back to the house, when she spotted another stall with interesting wares for sale. She didn't know why it caught her attention, especially when closer inspecition revealed they were all knives. She wasn't one for knives.
Then she remembered that James used knives. She looked them over, wondering if there would be a good one there for her to get James. After a few minutes, she finally settled on one. It was straight, and nicely balanced, about as long as her fore-arm, minus her hand. The hilt was a plain black one, but the crossgaurd had a dark red garnet set into it, a color she had always likened to fire. She also liked the sheath, for it was also black, but with a red sun blazened across the middle. She smiled at it, and quickly purchased it.
She tucked the knife into her basket and headed back for the house. She paused in front of the door, though. Some inner instinct told her there was someone there besides James and Star. She wondered if maybe it was Melody, but discarded the idea. She doubted the spirit would set off any warning alarms. Finally, she decided that dithering about wasn't going to solve anything, and opened the door.

    • Amaterasu glared at Star. "Star, calm down it's just Gerrard!" she said, not remembering his history with Sephira and James. "It's not like he's hurting anybody, he's just standing there." she added, glancing up at James. "Oh... James..." she said quietly, remembering her fight with him, Rose, and Elliot before she ran off.

      • Finally James' view came into focus, and he saw he was right about there being people there. He shuffled up the wall so that he was standing as he took in the sight in front of him. "Ge...Gerrard? You're alive?" he said. For a moment he had wanted to stab him, but then he remembered his mother's words and opted not to. He breathed in slowly as he saw Amaterasu. The fight they'd had with Elliot and Rose, it all came back to him slowly, but he didn't do anything. Instead he just remained quiet and didn't look at her.

        • Gerrard looked at James and shakily said "yeah' but I don't really know how though." He looked at Amaterasu and saw she was staring at James. "What's wrong?" Gerrard asked.

          • "Nothing," Amaterasu said quietly, casting her gaze to the floor. "Just something that came up before you showed back up..." She looked back up at James, and then at Star, who's fur was still standing on end. "Are Rose and Elliot okay?" she asked cautiously.

            • *Leonidas enters from Hyrule Field from Lost Woods*

Leonidas looked around. Although everything was familiar to him, many things were also different. First, it was typically dark out. Rarely, did the sun ever peek through the sky. The pollution of the cities and and the rather general darkness of the realm was depressing. The trees were withered or dead. Many of the peace loving beings of his world were transformed into monsters that a lot of people were afraid of. Many of the "monsters" were killed from hunters looking to get rich quick. Second, Death Mountain had become more active than this Hyrule's version. The mirrored Hyrule's Gorons had vanished as well as many of the Zoras. He also noticed that Lon Lon Ranch still had active trading still going on. He surveyed the people, nothing stood out of the normal cast of Kakariko. It wasn't until he saw a ragtag group of people. One of which was Sephira.

He didn't recognize any of them but he felt like he should. He kept his head down and tried to keep out of sight. With the darker clothes, he stood out among the rest of the population.

              • (Kairu, the group is inside a house. Ammy, Star is still completely tensed up.)

The first thing Sephira saw when she stepped inside was Star. The cheetah was standing next to James in a defensive position and hissing, indicating that the other two people had upset her in some way. She turned her attention to the two people. One was Amaterasu. Nothing completely special about that, other than what Star told her.
Then she saw him. Gerrard stood there facing Star and James, but looking at Amaterasu. Her first reaction was to reach for her sword, before remembering that she had left it here, thinking she'd be fine without it. Her second reaction was to whistled at Star. The cheetah instantly stopped hissing and sat down. Sephira then said, in a voice colder than ice, "Gerrard. What a pleasant surprise."

                • Gerrard heard her voice and turbed around. She stared at him with a stone cold glare that resonated hate. "Hey Sephira," Gerrard tentively said. "I do not mean any harm, I understand you kinda hate me but I came here because the last thing I remember before blacking out is being in your camp." As he said this he slowly started backing away.

                  • James was about to answer Ammy's question, when Sephira talked. He looked up at her and for a moment forgot the others and smiled at her beautiful face, but then he quickly came back to reality when Gerrard started getting nervous. He moved towards the others a bit, and for a moment out of the corner of his eye, he thought he saw Kairu standing outside through the open door. Still, he shook the thought and kept quiet, not feeling comfortable by talking with the current tension in the room.

                    • Sephira snorted. "Don't mean any harm. Just as the falling tree does not mean to harm those it traps in it boughs. Just as the spark does not mean to harm the person leaning in too close." She took a step closer to him, her voice rising but still just under control. "Just the mosquito does not mean to kill those its bite infects. Just as the sword blade does not mean to harm those its wielder contacts. Just as the deer does not mean for its flailing hooves to break the bones of its herd members as the arrow pierces its heart. No, I don't think you meant any harm at all." She spat the last bit out as a piece of ill-tasting food.

                      • Gerrard felt sudden anger at Sephira, at all of the unfairness of the whole situation. "I'm sorry sweetheart," Gerrard sneeted. "I had no freakin' control over what happened. I have half the mind to start a fight with you."

                        • Sephira snapped her teeth at him. "Fine, you pig-headed, over-zealous, little upstart! Let's see if a fly like you can match me. I think you'll have a little chance. I'm just a stupid phoenix, a silly girl who spent her life living off the woods. What do I know? All I've ever done is avenge my family and tribe's death. The only skill I have is fire." She felt herself heating and was surprised it had taken so long. But she was in control enough to prevent herself changing. However, that did not mean she wouldn't start burning. She was going to give Gerrard one more chance to leave, then she would let her emotions go. Star stood up, sensing her Alpha's intentions and ready to support her.

                          • Gerrard laughed at the young girl, he knew he should not be doing this; but some part of him wanted to do this. "You think you've had it bad?" he sneared. "I have had a hard life too honey, I have been alone my whole life and possessed by gerudos!!!! Life isn't fair sweetie." With that he punched the wall, denting it.

                            • "A hard life, you? Hah!" Sephira pointed out with a stiff finger, and a flame followed her finger. "I have lived in a forest my whole life, having to learn to survive since before I could walk! I had to deal with a pig-headed betrothed since we were old enough to understand what that meant. I had to deal with all sort of wild creatures since I could walk! And I had to adapt to a new way of living after my people were destroyed. I had to learn how to survive in a world that has less mercy than the forest!"
She then pointed the finger at Gerrard, the small flame growing as she jabbed it at him. "Controlled by Gerudo? Hah! I lived with psychics in the Stari tribe. You can throw off any curse they cast on you, if your will is strong enough. If you could not throw off the curse, then your will must be weaker than a newly grown limb of a tree. Are you a newborn pup, that your will might be commanded by those stronger? Are you as the leaves of the trees, that you might move only as the wind decrees?"
The flame grew until it was wider than her palm. "A weakling, you are. The Lady Din does not shine on you, the Lady Nayru forbids you her gentle glow. Only Lady Farore dares let you see her face, only as she cannot hide so large and glorious a prescence from any, not even a worthless moss as yourself!" Sephira spat this last bit at him, her voice slipping into the harder, yet lighter tone of her forest accent.

                              • Gerrard felt anger boiling inside of him, at her, at all the bullcrap of this all. "You know what?" Gerrard said. "I couldn't control what happened to me. I could not break free, and I feel horrible about that! You're not making it much better." With that he turned around and punched another wall. He then lied against the wall, his hands covering his eyes.
