    Sephira grinned as she heard Rose. She stopped hopping when she felt she was hidden sufficiently by the tree and focused on returning to her human form. She smiled as she felt herself heat up, then slowly cool down. As she cooled, her body returned to its normal form. Her feathers receded and became hair, or just plain skin. Her talons smoothed back down into feet and her wings receded into arms and hands. She winced slightly as the bandage on her arm shifted, but she could retie that when she finished.
    She was done in a few minutes and immediatly retied the bandage. As soon as that was taken care of, she dressed in Rose's garments. The Gerudo was a little smaller than her, but Sephira was able to squeeze into the clothes without popping any seams. She then turned and walked back to the others, grinning in anticipation of Joshua's reaction.

      Joshua's brow wrinkled in confusion. "Why is it not your home any more?" He waited patiently for an answer, but heard someone approaching them before recieving one. His mouth fell open as he saw a young woman walking towards him. He almost thought she was a different person, but she was wearing the same clothes the phoenix had taken out of the pack, and had a bandage on her arm at the same spot where he had shot it.
      He turned to regard the Gerudo. "So what makes you special? Surely there must be something about you that would attract such a special bird to you."
      The wolf howls his mournful song,
      My heart beats as I listen to him.
      It rises and falls as he speaks to the moon,
      A chilling howl that fills me with joy.

        "Im a gerudo with black hair and blue eyes" rose said "surly the spells special to you" she laughed "i have my reasons for not wanting to go back, and sphria, you need to get some new clothes asap, cause they look like there going to split off you any second now"

              Joshua smirked. "I must be the bravest person in the country if I can talk to both you pretty ladies without stammering." He then turned to Sephira. "So how long have you been a phoenix? And what broke your spell? Or is it one of those time things that needs a true love's kiss to break properly?" he added with a wink.

                Sephira burst out laughing. "Maybe you are!" she said in between giggles. She sobered a little when he asked about her gift, but she still smiled at how he asked it. "Silly, my phoenix form isn't a spell. It's part of my blood, part of my inheritance from my people. Only I can trigger and release it." She bit her cheeck a little, hoping he wouldn't ask about her tribe.

                  Midnight sniffed the air with his snout practically pressing against the ground. He was certain that Rose was just nearby now, or at least had passed through here. He looked back to make sure that Elliot was still keeping up and wasn't surprised to see that he was. He may have been only a wolf, but he felt like he could understand the man's need to be with his mate, Rose. With that thought in mind, he worked harder to track her down for him.
                  His nose caught the presence of others before his eyes did. One very familiar scent and one not so familiar. Sephira! he thought happily, wagging his tail and giving a bark. Sure enough, she was there in the near distance. And in her regular form, too, he noted, so she must be feeling better! There was Rose, too, speaking to Sephira and...some other man? Midnight cocked his head in question as he trotted over to the group with Elliot right beside him. Either way, the new person didn't seem to be doing any harm and both Sephira and Rose seemed happy around him so he discarded the thought that he might be a threat. He looked up at Elliot who had also caught sight of the trio.
                  He didn't seem to be sharing the same feelings as he did.
                  "Rose. Sephira," he said through a tight-lipped smile. "And who's this guy?"

                    Joshua was about to ask about her tribe when he heard a bark. He turned to see a black wolf come charging over. He started to reach for his weapon, but the wolf just came to a stop next to Sephira, wagging his tail happily. He scratched his head with confusion, then turned as another person came. He grinned lazily as he realized this man knew these two ladies. "I'm Joshua. You?" he said, sticking his hand out to shake.

                      Sephira turned with a grin spreading across her face as she heard Midnight bark. She crouched down and spread her arms. Midnight jumped into her lap, yipping and lapping her face happily. Sephira laughed. "You've been a good boy?"
                      Midnight paused licking her long enough to say, "You expect me to do otherwise?" Sephira laughed and hugged him.

                        Elliot reached out to shake the man's hand and found himself squeezing it just a little too tightly for comfort. "Elliot," he answered back, giving the man a slight nod before turning away from him and looking at Rose. "Listen, Rose," he said, taking hold of her hand. "Can we talk?" He was about to continue, but then realized that he didn't want extra pairs of eyes watching. "...In private?" he finished quietly.

                          "no Elliot" rose said "it's better this way, we shouldn't be together, I'm no good for you" rose thought about running, but she knew with all these people she wouldn't be able to get away "just go Elliot" rose's face was stone cold, she wouldn't let herself display any emotion, she couldn't show him the truth of how much this was hurting her, no it was better if she didn't.

                              "Elliot you wanna know how I feel" rose said, her face still stone cold "I never really liked you, i just thought you were a little bit of fun that's all, and you know what you were, but I've gotten bored of you latly, that is the real reason why I left" rose didn't like saying it, but hurting Elliot now would be better in the long run.

                                Sephira stood up, deciding to break it up between the couple. She was stunned by what Rose was saying, and she guessed it wasn't true. Rose was trying really hard to keep Elliot away. She patted Midnight, then walked over to Elliot and grabbed his arm, then pulled him away from the rest of the group, ignoring his protests. When she determined they were out of hearing range, she stopped, spun him around, and glared at him. "You better be able to explain to me why Rose wants you to back off, and it better be good," she growled.
