While he walked, he rehearsed exactly what he was going to say and do. He would sincerely apologize to Rose and calmly state his reasons why he believed it a not so good idea to have her go back to the fortress, choosing his words carefully.
All of his careful planning fell apart when he saw Rose in Joshua's arms.
His Rose.
In some other man's arms.
Something inside of him snapped. He gave no regards to what he was doing next as he charged straight towards Joshua, his fist raised and ready to strike right into his face.

Joshua was stunned when Rose wrapped her arms around him. Hadn't she just told him not to touch her? He shrugged, though, and return the hug. He liked holding pretty girls.
Then Elliot charged him. For a second, Joshua hesitated, then ducked and rolled into a crouch, still clutching Rose. He debated letting her go so he could fight back. The wolf howls his mournful song,

Elliot missed the punch by a mere fraction of an inch, causing himself to stumble forward and trip. He broke the fall into a roll and his boots kicked up dirt as he slid back to a crouched position. Then he leaped forward and threw another punch. He'd lost all reason, didn't want to be reasoned too. All of his energy and pent up fury was now being directed at Joshua, goddesses help the man who'd dared to take his girl away from him.

Sephira stood up and debated grabbing Elliot and dragging him away, or just beating him up. Midnight solved the problem for her by jumping between Elliot and Joshua, growling. The wolf was more than willing to pull Elliot down if it kept him from hurting himself any more. Sephira pushed Joshua away. "You get going. Rose, you go with him. I will try to reason with Elliot. Now get!"Phillipians 4:13 - I can do everything through him who gives me strength.

Joshua had just let Rose go and was about to fight back when the wolf leaped in the way. He hesitated, wondering what to do. Then the phoenix girl was pushing him, telling him to go away. He glanced at Rose. "Shall we?" he asked, holding a hand out to her.The wolf howls his mournful song,

"You're not going anywhere," Elliot growled. He charged at Joshua again while whipping out a white cape from inside his pack. He tugged it on around his neck and jumped clear over Midnight in one fluid motion, landing with a hard thud right in front of Joshua so he blocked his path. Without even stopping for one second, he gave the man a powerful roundhouse kick right in his sternum.

Joshua started to lead Rose back towards Lake Hylia, since he usually lived there. He was very surprised when Elliot leaped in front of him, and his first thought was What sort of cape is that? I want one of those! He grunted in pain as Elliot kicked him and fell flat on his back. Now he was angry. He stood up and threw a left cross back at Elliot.Last edited by HyrulianBlackcat; 10-31-2011, 03:48 PM.The wolf howls his mournful song,

"That. Is. ENOUGH!!!" Sephira shouted, flames spewing from her mouth as her rage broke free. She stormed over to Elliot and grabbed his arm, ignoring that she was so hot now she would burn his bare skin. "If she wants another man, let her go! Don't hurt both of you more by persisting!" She let him go and shoved him away. She stood between him and the couple, trembling as she tried to gain control of her anger again.

As powerful as Sephira's speech was, the majority of it was, unfortunately, lost on Elliot as he proceeded to scream and curse while clutching at his arm. "What the hell, Sephira?!" he shouted, clawing at the part of his arm that wasn't currently messed up, just to mask the pain of the burn. There was already a deep red hand print forming where Sephira had grabbed at him and the skin was starting to blister and peel. He gritted his teeth and glared at Sephira. Then he bolted towards the deeper part of the forest.

Sephira snorted to herself, smoke billowing out. "Men. Always fools," she muttered, trying to get control of her temper again. When she felt she was cool enough, she whistled for Midnight.
The wolf slunk over. She smiled at him. "I'm cool now, Midnight." He perked up and rubbed against her leg. She smiled and petted him. "Do you remember which herbs help with burns?" Midnight nodded. "Will you find some and take them to Elliot?"
The black wolf stared at her for a minute, then nodded. It was her way of apologizing, but without upsetting the man with her presense. He headed off. Sephira debated sending a letter with him, but she had nothing to write it with. She shrugged and turned to Joshua and Rose. "Are you two alright?"Phillipians 4:13 - I can do everything through him who gives me strength.

Joshua stared at Sephira, stunned by her anger and the fire she was spewing. He was shocked she had burned Elliot simply by grabbing him. When she turned to him, he could barely hide his tremble. This was not a woman he wanted to cross. He attempted a nonchalant smile, but the affect was ruined when his voice trembled faintly. "Just f-fine, ma'am."The wolf howls his mournful song,

Rose felt so sad when Elliot left, and for the pain she had caused him, really the burn sephria had given was all her fault, she had hurt him and caused him to turn all crazy loon on her. "I would be lying if I said I was fine" rose said softly "and I try not to lie unless it's needed to protect someone" rose's stone cold face was on the verge of tears. She looked away from them all, as the guilt and pain overtook her, a few tears fell down her face, as she took a few deep, calming breaths. She turned around and once again she was the stone cold women, who she was getting far to good at being.sigpicI want to say a big thank you to zeke for making me the picture for my birthday.

Elliot blindly stumbled through the forest, wiping the wetness from his eyes with one hand and clutching his burned arm with the other. When he'd finally exhausted himself, he crashed onto the ground and just laid there panting. The pain on his arm was growing so unbearable that he was tempted to just cut the whole arm off. In other words, the pain on the outside matched perfectly with the pain on his inside. This was definitely going to leave a mark in the morning. He heard the faint trickle of a stream and followed the sound through a dense thicket and into a small clearing where a river flowed. He immediately knelt down next to it and dipped his arm in the cool, gushing water. It provided some relief, but not much.
